I cant believe that CIMB and SCB are allowing people to apply for Visa Infinite cards(higher than platinum). This card is usually given to private bank customers only by invitation. You have to deposit a min of 1 mil before u can become a private bank customer anyway. Their requirement is a bit on the low side as well.

QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Jul 16 2009, 08:54 PM) @taxpayer, CIMB's asking for RM240k income p/annum whilst SCB is RM150k p/annum. Currently, only RHB's Visa Infinite remains 'By Invitation Only'. I guess it's business afterall and bottom lines what's most important yeah i've heard that SCB has issued platinum cards to people with annual income of 70k ish. That's why i cant be bothered using their cards. No exclusivity. Do you know anyone who have applied for that card in malaysia?

[quote=Gen-X,Jul 16 2009, 09:22 PM] every bank is competing among each other to get customers, won't be surprise in 5 years time, people with less than RM100K PA income will also qualify for Infinite. just like Plat where annual income had to be >RM100 when it was first introduced. If you read the earlier posts, many people here have Infinite and there is even a photos of cards. The only really exclusive card here so far where none of the other LYN members have is vampbreak's AMEX Centurion Card. [/ I have no idea whether i will make the cut or not. I certainly do not meet the income requirements. However, I do have the following cards HSBC premier master card, HSBC visa platinum, Citibank Visa Platinum and UOB preferred platinum. Maybe i should give it a try. I think the most exclusive visa card you can get nowadays is the Visa Signature.I dont think it's available in Malaysia though.

QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Jul 16 2009, 11:30 PM) May i know if you enjoy an automatic annual fee waiver on your HSBC VISA Platinum ? And did you ask your RM to applied the HSBC VISA Platinum as an additional card for you ? Not quite. VISA Infinite is ranked higher than VISA Signature. VISA Signature is widely available in USA. Also offered by DBS Bank and UOB Bank in Singapore but unfortunately not in Malaysia. My RM did not apply for my HSBC visa platinum. A credit card sales staff did. However, I do hope that i can be spared from paying the exorbitant annual fee I have no reason to believe they have any reason to charge you an annual fee as long as you remain a premier customer regardless of who applied for your card . My parents have multiple cards with Citibank and they have never been charged any annual fees. They are Citigold customers. Does HSBC issue visa infinite cards in Malaysia? QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Jul 17 2009, 12:47 AM) Did he/she use your HSBC Premier Mastercard to apply for this card ? I'm just interested to know Who knows one day i might need to do the same trick No. They don't. Yes. my application for the visa platinum was approved on the basis of my Premier Master Card. I did not submit any documents. My pay is significantly below their requirement anyway and i wont qualify. I think they will be more than happy to give you the visa platinum anytime if you have been holding the premier master card for more than a year and have nothing outstanding on it. Is platinum or premier master card the most exclusive card you can get from HSBC malaysia?

QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Jul 17 2009, 09:40 AM) @winner, HEY! We aren't suppose to reveal TOO much personal stuff and U indirectly did!! @zazaza2009, Fraud does happen but when tracked and if U can proof U haven't lost your card U should be fine. It's a different scenario altogether for lost/stolen CCs hence U got to be a little careful where U keep ur Cards. @taxpayer, Hmm.. looks like we have another high roller here; if U want to put in application for the SCB Visa Infinite then go ahead but seriously do U need so many CCs? Well I dont think i am going to apply after all. I am beginning to have some doubts as my age might be an issue to them (didnt think about that previously). I am in my mid 20'.

QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Jul 20 2009, 05:51 PM) @MilesAndMore, Er.. it's small matter and it doesn't mean that as a PB with those banks, U have minimum RM300k FD in the bank; it could be RM300k in an Investment Portfolio or something Also, most of these people probably don't need so much CL - and if they need extra they could always put in a request and I'm sure the bank will look into it I've also heard that some banks have capped their limit for Platinum cards(applies to individual cards only as all their cards have seperate credit limits anyway). Recently one of my friends who worked inside Citibanks told me that the CL for citibank cards have been capped to 100k. However,I will be curious to know what's the cap for CL when it comes to Platinum, visa infinite etc?
