By the way I just make a call to SCB CS. He say that I can close the current account attach to JustOne Card. JustOne card will only function as credit card. debit card will no longer work.
*
Did the CS say how to perform the account cancellation ? Just call in and request ? What about the unused cheque book leaves ... can return and refund ?

No, I did not ask about that, but to reactivate the account need to go to Kajang branch. So I think forget it, the account will be automatically close in 2 months.

Cheque book? also not asking them about that.

If you have RM0 balance in your accounts for several consecutive months, normally banks (any bank, not just SCB) will move to alert customers to do something about it. Else they will close and cancel the account.

"Auto close in 2 months" means just that .... allowing the bank to auto trigger the closure of the account.

Ok, you experience 1st and let us know the outcome. If it only functions as Cr, the Cr/Db problems will basically be solved. However, card recognition from all terminals is still unsure.

the interest rate drop significantly & the most annoying thing is they change the tier rate.
My only question now is that if they will increase the rate back to what is was last year when the economy is getting better again. We will know about a year and a half from now smile.gif

Is there any way to up my credit limit for new Amex Gold Credit card? I registered during treatsfair and they give only 1k credit limit. Totally ridiculous.
OH MY GOD !! Just RM1000 ? Ridiculous indeed.

QUOTE(Putraskyline @ Aug 7 2009, 11:18 AM)
Are you sure its combined? I call Amex CS and they told me its not,
QUOTE(Putraskyline @ Aug 7 2009, 04:10 PM)
My Ikhwan Amex/Visa are higher by 10. Amex CS said , they can't combine. Maybe I should follow Ghz suggestion. Will cancel my Ikhwan and get Amex gold CC upgrade limit.
*
Yeah. I also do not think it is combined as the Gold AMEX is a standalone AMEX credit card. It has nothing to do with any other Maybank credit card with the "UGLY" Maybankard word printed on top.

QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Aug 7 2009, 03:56 PM)
This is so absolutely ridiculous.  I've waited 3 entire days for SCB to get back to me re this Online Banking Account. I'm fed up.  I think I'll just use Citibank to pay my bills!
*
What'd the problem ? Should you wish to pay your bills via standardchartered.com.my, you can only use your Standard Chartered VISA Infinite credit card to make the payment.

I don't think there will be any changes on how to use the card. It just that when we select debit card, then the transaction get rejected straight away. To remove debit card menu in the card need to update the card information i think.

You need to wait 3-5 working days to have your online acc activated. I experienced this. It wasn't efficient. But once you have activated, you'll find that its online payment system is better than M2U.

Oh, that's easy. You can now register for Standard Chartered online banking without leaving home, just like Citibank's online banking. Check it out now at their website smile.gif

Actually, one can activate their online account instantly, by visiting one of Standard Chartered branch. Or ... one may create an online banking account himself/herself online. Just open their online banking page and follow instructions.

So true. Their online banking portal has improved a lot. But too bad you can only make bill payment using Standard Chartered credit card, should you choose to pay for a bill using credit card via their website.

You can't get instant approval for SCB online banking. I was also in a puzzle when SCB told me I had to wait for at least 3 workings upon request. Perhaps it is a new policy of SCB. SCB isn't as efficient as what you think.

I need to clarify this. What I mean is making payment online using SCB cc at SCB online. You need to wait for 3 working days or more to get the system activated.

Wait for another one month. Usually they need you to submit your 3 months salary slip. And try with CIMB Bank. They are not as strict. Good luck.

Yeah, I believe the Amex Gold CC is combined credit limit with your other MBB cards.

Also, the gold CC is identified as "Maybankard Amex" as opposed to just "Amex" for the charge cards (on the receipts).
