Are you sure its combined? I call Amex CS and they told me its not, while during treatsfair, the personnel said its combined. I have sent those letter and I have use my card for petrol. My combined Credit limit stated at Amex Gold CC letter was Rm1k while Ikhwan Visa/Amex was 10x bigger. So thats mean I can use my new Amex gold till all 3 card reach combined limit of my Ikhwan? Why they stated only 1k at my Amex Gold CC?

NO, CL for Islamic & Conventional card cannot be combine because internally both of them are different entity. If you want higher CL for AMEX, you need to reduce CL for your Ikhwan, but the total should be similar to what you have now.

do u see the same limit from maybank2u for all your cards? or only the amex gold is different from the rest?

Added on August 7, 2009, 11:29 amic, so my mbb petronas is conventional (from MBB instead of MBB islamic), therefore shared the limit with AMEX

Ooh...Is this a rules implement by MBB? Thats mean I have to call MBB CS to reduce my CL and then Call Amex CS to up my CL? If I know this before, I would not apply for this card.

No just Maybank, other bank that have separate entity that issue CC will have this limitation as well. Example CIMB, You cannot combine CL for their convention CC with their islamic CC or even DA CC since they are different entity.

1k is totally ridiculous, not enough to buy a camera also. By the way, ur Ikhwan have different CL issit? If your Ikhwan CL is high and your expenses is not more than that, why not combine both card together to get a better limit?

no problem here. I just pay my utilities bill by using JustOne card.

Im going to be dumping my OCBC platinum (making it backup) for this AMEX gold card. Can I ask how long thier rewards are valid for ? Also any difference between applying via MB2u vs thier website. Do you have to turn in the form at a local branch ?

This is so absolutely ridiculous. I've waited 3 entire days for SCB to get back to me re this Online Banking Account. I'm fed up. I think I'll just use Citibank to pay my bills!

My Ikhwan Amex/Visa are higher by 10. Amex CS said , they can't combine. Maybe I should follow Ghz suggestion. Will cancel my Ikhwan and get Amex gold CC upgrade limit.

I did not suggest to cancel, I suggest to reduce limit your ikhwan card & after that increase limit for your amex card.


By the way I just make a call to SCB CS. He say that I can close the current account attach to JustOne Card. JustOne card will only function as credit card. debit card will no longer work.

That means you got (and started using it) your JustOne after the billing cycle. That's why it is showing payment due as "next month". Don't worry, it is likely that you'll only experience it this once unless you don't use your card for a very long time.

Yup ... one of the pitfalls for the JustOne card. On certain terminals, it just can't work! Apparently the terminal must be smart enough to recognise that the card has 2 function - credit and debit. Those terminals which go can only detect the debit function of the card if I'm not mistaken.

Better cancel my Ikhwan. I'm using Ikhwan because Amex only. Now they have Gold CC, so I wanna cancel off.
