Used my EON bank GSC card today. Must say, regardless of the various benefits, it's pretty handy to have it. Went to GSC 1U today, line was crazy packed for transformers ticket purchase, but fortunately I could hop over to priority lane to nick up some last minute tickets, albeit front row ones =p. Well, this feature is pretty useful for the time being while not too many ppl have the card yet (of course, only applicable at 1U,Mvalley and Pav iirc) Edit : For movie goers, might as well apply for this card. Think the first year fee is waived, 2nd year onwards dependent on transaction. You can cancel it later if you don't use it. Gold card comes with RM60 "bonus value", which is pretty much prepaid money (plat has RM100). Watched transformers for RM5 per tic today This post has been edited by ellimist: Jun 27 2009, 10:40 PM

QUOTE(gavind87 @ Jun 28 2009, 02:07 AM) I did apply for the card some 2 weeks back , to date , no sound also from them .. Maybe because I just faxed in the application form without calling them first ? But can't be .. Probably still in process? Took quite some time for them to get back to me as well (I applied through some agent sitting in front of gsc )

Yea, there's alot of talk bout VI and other similar cards being not exclusive, but considering the majority viewpoint, it probably still is.
Most of us still are not eligible for it here =p

Yeah, I believe the Amex Gold CC is combined credit limit with your other MBB cards.
Also, the gold CC is identified as "Maybankard Amex" as opposed to just "Amex" for the charge cards (on the receipts).

Don't think they're too strict with the whole Amex Gold CC. I applied by faxing in an application form. Didn't fax in any supportings as I told them they should have my stuff, from my MBB Petronas card. They tried to ask for stuff for CL purposes, but told them I'd be happy with the existing CL. Thing is, I never submitted anything for my MBB Petronas card b4, since they pre approved it and sent me a letter telling me to collect it

QUOTE(QChloe @ Aug 16 2009, 11:17 PM) Guys, can you please recommend me a CC which has either 1 or both of below requirements? Currently I'm only eligible for up to Gold Card i) Cash Rebates / Cashback OR / AND ii) Points that don't expire Thanks! Assuming cash rebate is your priority, I believe someone once mentioned that Alliance Younique card has among the best cash back. But if you're looking for points that don't expire, Citibank is a decent choice.

Enjoy annual fee waiver by just charging a minimum of RM50 per month, every year on your UOB VOX Card.
- Admin fee of RM6 will be levied on month not fulfilled. No, don't think it's new. That's been the requirement for quite some time now

QUOTE(vin_ann @ Sep 12 2009, 07:37 PM) guys / gals i want to relates this experience of my colleague using HSBC Amanah. we were having lunch at Cap Square a German Restaurant which serves Pork and Beer. my colleague using his HSBC Amanah CC to pay the bill and its cant get through. and this is second time rejected. 1st time was when he was clubbing, also rejected. Wow serious? Wonder if it's just a coincidence, or they really do block of places. I mean, they like, identify such places, black list it and block it off in their system? Must be pretty tedious for them to come up with such a list (talking bout the bank).
