I've no idea what fish to get for steaming.  tongue.gif
Thanks for the suggestions. I need more creativity and ideas on my meals esp those with less preparation time.
The only time where I could prepare a proper dinner would be on non-WO days.

If I workout in the evening, dinner would be quite late, ard 10.30pm or so. So, I'll just prepare sth simple like soup or eggs.
Anytime later than that, I'll take a scoop of casein & almonds before bed.

looks yummy..but I am on low carb now...avoiding starchy carbs.... sad.gif

With low carb, it's pretty easy. Just drop out the starchy foods. But bear in mind that you can't go without some carbs at least. If there's not enough carbs for workouts, you may find that the body is switching to muscle breakdown into fat for energy if you're not careful. As long as you don't exceed the recommended period by the diet, then it's fine.

With the short period of time, you may have to do some food preparation during the weekend then. I usually try to cook 2-3 dishes over the weekend that can spread the remaining days. I freeze them if I need to. Example is roasted meat or soup.

I just discovered the simplicity of steaming food yesterday and the awful lesson that steam food needs to be removed from the steamer, even if the fire is off else the food becomes overcook. Steaming takes about 10-15 min and you can do multiple ingredient steaming at once. That was the interesting bit. Learnt that from the Japanese diet rules.

Myremi, you eat 600cal meals? Do you count yr cals or..? Because I'm taking like 6 smallish meals of 1 fruit etc n veg last week n now I've got flatulence LOL. I actually think it's very funny if not for my aim to lose the weight before may 29.

Now I'm not too paranoid about consuming carbs, seeing as the veg n fruit thang didn't do it for me. But I'm mighty impressed at your 1 kg a week, Myremi! Hahaha. I'm down like..an ounce. tongue.gif

How can this be! Madness! tongue.gif tongue.gif But on the flip side, i love feeling real energized after all these workouts. And now tennis =D 30mins run in the morning, 20 mins at night and resistance/silly looking exercises that really help. haha.

if you are running, I supposed you either run higher mileage or higher speed....at time, one shud tweak the speed of running to get the cardiovascular work harder instead of cruising steadily........and it takes time to increase bit by bit......every fatso here are still working on it........

applied same to swimming and crosstrainer I beleive.... hmm.gif

Well... tbh, I'm not sure whether what I had counted as the 3:1:2 bento rule to make roughly 600 calories. The sandwich was 2 pieces of bread. One scrambled egg. Bit of cream cheese spread - about 1 mm thick maybe? Plus, I couldn't put too many veggies in else the box cannot close and I don't have a strap. Maybe will do a ghetto strap this weekend.

At first, I thought I'd get hungry but surprisingly, I'm pleasantly full. Not too much, not too little.

Hmm...6 smallish meals of 1 fruits + 1 veggie and flatulence. You will get it for about a few weeks as your body is adjusting to the new diet but it should go away. Plus, going vegetarian, you have to make sure that you have enough calories + portions at the same time. Was reading an article today that a body needs 1700 calorie a day to prevent muscle breakdown. If you want to eat like a vegetarian, you will also need to source for the same protein source they do. It's not about quantity that makes people slim down, it's the quality. My 1 kg a week is evidence of that. smile.gif

Losing an ounce : well, if you are near your target weight, don't look at weight loss. Look instead to body fat and how you look in the mirror. You could just be flabby i.e. muscles is lax and not tight.

Getting carb from veges and apple is fine. Better yet if they were raw but if you want to cook them, that's fine as long as you don't overcook them. Have a variety of fruits though, local + imported.

Haha! Ok, so you don't mind cold food then? If you want hot food, either get an electrical steamer or a microwave oven. The steamer may be a heathier option.

Oh, and investing in a rice cooker is good too. smile.gif Hmm...that may be a better option because you can steam your food in the rice cooker as well.

This is without having a cooking stove (and that is another conversation altogether). You can control your diet better this way rather than having to eat out all the time.
*
Oh ya, why i never think of micowave oven? Company got 2 of them, aduiiii stupid me.
hahah, any food suggestion?

btw, I have bought 10 omega 3 eggs, going to cook them with my electric boiler.

Just wondering, after you guise have achieved you goals, what are you gonna do?

This iz what me gonna do....

Once I've reached 80kg, I will start taking whey protein (2 x 5lbs can last for 6 months), will start to eat normal food. Then after 2 months I will start to cut again. Goal is to lose bodyfat, so need to cut. I will make sure my weight is in between 80kg - 85kg.

And, once my contract is over with FF, I will cancel the membership and then register at some cheaper gym. Already got the basics from there, can do it anywhere, anytime. From there, all I need to do is to maintain, that's all. I don't want to lose the muscles I've worked so hard for. Workout 4 days per week. Same thing, eat like normal, then cut, eat like normal then cut. Because if I cut all the way like now, I won't be able to lose all bodyfat.

My goal = lose body fat, well build and fit. Not really want to get bulky. I like bodybuilding but I don't go till that far, not that ambitious for this sports. And moreover, bodybuilding iz seriouzly high maintenance, like taking whey and other supplements.

I will continue doing this until I'm old, I don't believe I can't get a lean body. biggrin.gif Even if I don't go to gym in future, I will make sure I play sports weekly and go jogging.

After going through this hell, I will think twice of putting something into my mouth. laugh.gif

Added on April 24, 2009, 7:27 pmA summary from my blog:

First of all, I am glad to eat more than 5 meals a day, from Monday to Friday. Breakfast, brunch, lunch, snack, snack, dinner, snack. Goshhhh... My stomach never felt hungry before.

I am also used to high fibre bread. Taking it as breakfast or lunch feels great. There is one day I switched back to white rice for a try, and I feel sleepy immediately after meal. High fibre wholemeal bread FTW !

I think the kCal intake is still pretty high. I cheated a lot during snack. Sometimes a cup of Milo, sometimes 3 pieces of small biscuit, and Tuesday night I was eating Haagan Dazs + Secret Recipe with my girl. What a super cheat meal, hahahaha.

No more cheat meal for next week. If any girls want to date me, I'll just bring them to eat economy rice or something which is very healthy. Dowan nevermind, me go pak toh with my elliptical machine lagi best.

Next week, try to snack with fruits. No more biscuit please. I hope the admin don't put delicious biscuit in the pantry. It is very very tempting you know...

The great thing now is, I start to have the urge and willpower to eat healthier food. My stomach is also used to hi-fibre hi-GI carbo. Keep it up !

You are really a point blank chow ahbeng who earn respect from others (inlcuding me). You worked hard and bulldozed all the way till you reach your goal. This is something not everyone can do it. We shall go for teh tarek (or maybe susu lembu) one day when I goto Klang.....

Likewise, after reaching my goal.....weight and BF, I will continue doing so particularly running and wieght....I kind of enjoy running and would like to explore further and further. Quarter marathon is in the pipeline and I may dream of half marathon later......will continue doing so.......

After this period, one shud depends less on supplement so that the sustainability of the body weight/fat is achievable in a natural manner......

About gym-ing....hmmm...will stick to the one that convenient me the most.....I dont mind paying the subscription. I think mine is quite affordable...120/mth.......that;s equivalent to just 4 pints of GUiness Draught....What the heck? Good health is priceless.......Ultimately, I can see my two dudes grow up from boy to man......from girl to lady........ icon_rolleyes.gif

What ah beng ah beng? WTF?!

Like I said eat like normal as usual, good sleeping habit, no supper, eat proper nutrition clean food (50% clean food, 50% normal food) remains.

When I start taking whey, will become incredible hulk, when I cut again, become mini incredible hulk. laugh.gif

I can do whole body exercise at home, but if no weights and dumb bells for me effort, apa macam want to exercise? As long they have decent weight plates and dumb bells to workout, lousy environment also I don't care. Just to maintain only.

If become incredible hulk, I'm going to be the same fat ass again. Big size, and all my clothes can't fit again.

600cals a day is too little! your diet is just too extreme! It should be at least 1400cals..... like 350cal for breakfast, 400 for lunch, 300 for dinner, 300 for snacks....
