QUOTE(myremi @ Apr 20 2009, 10:47 AM) DannGunn : I eat oats that come premix together with wheat germ and dried fruits i.e. muesli. It's a bit more expensive because it's imported stuff. right now i eat oats with HL low fat milk..Rather than put in white sugar or milo or honey in oats, try adding fresh fruits and dried fruits in it. The sugar from the fruits will go into the oats. Don't put too much in though, just a bit will do. If you don't want to have white sugar from fruits, buy the dried fruits in organic shops like cranberries and other dried fruits. Fresh fruits may be bananas, apples, pears. i don't drink milo anymore considering the high carb it contains! u're from kch right? where got cranberries here? |

QUOTE(redninja @ Apr 20 2009, 02:25 PM) I just discovered oats! So simple and tasty. Plain pack of rolled oats. 1/2 cup - 1 cup water in a pot, add 1/2 teaspoon honey with some raisins. Bring to boil then throw in the oats of an equivalent amount. Mix. Let it dry up for like 1 - 2 minutes, keep stirring .. then take out. Add a bit of walnuts or other nuts/seeds for crunch. I'm kinda addicted now. Talking about honey, do it contain sugar? U talking about what kinda oat? Need to cook one or instant? |

QUOTE(redninja @ Apr 20 2009, 02:55 PM) The one I get is not instant. You can check the shelves they are labeled "rolled oats" at Cold Storage, Giant or stores. You can find them in baking goods stores too (cheaper?) and they're nice to make oatmeal raisin cookies and such I don't like this kinda oat.. Like baby one... feel geli eating it...The honey question is a lil weird and I'm no expert but I presume that the honey is less processed than the sugar. Not all sugar is evil maybe in mass quantities I gonna try oat with honey later... |

QUOTE(redninja @ Apr 20 2009, 03:46 PM) I mean the oat that u need to cook one just like what baby eat! QUOTE(myremi @ Apr 20 2009, 03:56 PM) dangunn : Hmm.... cranberries. My guess is that it's either cheaper at UNACO supermarket (they carry their own storebrand) or heading down to Bormill Estate shoplots and look for an Organic Shop there which gives 5-10% discount off the market price. Those would be unsweetened cranberries. You can find sweetened cranberries in Ta Kiong Supermarket, The Spring. I never eat cranberries nor mueslis before! I'll try anyway! Hmm...since you're in Kuching, you can find mueslis at Choice Daily but very expensive. It's about RM18-RM25 per box but Choice Daily has the widest range of mueslis, followed by Cold Storage and then Ta Kiong Supermarket. I'm currently trying out Weetabix but going to go back to muesli (bought WeightWatchers muesli - sometimes got, sometimes no have at Choice Daily or Cold Storage Supermarket). Imported fruits - Boulevard Hypermarket (always fresh and cheap). Local fruits - goto the wet market. Local Veggie - UNACO supermarket 4-5pm is delivery time, buy from here as it's cheaper than wet market and the sellers from wet market goto UNACO supermarket to get the veggies. Imported veggie - I goto Cold Storage Supermarket for the tomatoes and lettuce from Genting. I always buy fruit at sunday market.. For local fruit, banana can make us gain weight right? because of the sugar and carb. Had kolo mee this morning as breakfast.. damn.. missing it for like about 2 weeks! Next week gonna eat laksa.. it has been more than 2 months since i eat that! |

QUOTE(myremi @ Apr 24 2009, 04:32 PM) Well... tbh, I'm not sure whether what I had counted as the 3:1:2 bento rule to make roughly 600 calories. The sandwich was 2 pieces of bread. One scrambled egg. Bit of cream cheese spread - about 1 mm thick maybe? Plus, I couldn't put too many veggies in else the box cannot close and I don't have a strap. Maybe will do a ghetto strap this weekend. 600cals a day is too little! your diet is just too extreme! It should be at least 1400cals..... like 350cal for breakfast, 400 for lunch, 300 for dinner, 300 for snacks.... At first, I thought I'd get hungry but surprisingly, I'm pleasantly full. Not too much, not too little. Hmm...6 smallish meals of 1 fruits + 1 veggie and flatulence. You will get it for about a few weeks as your body is adjusting to the new diet but it should go away. Plus, going vegetarian, you have to make sure that you have enough calories + portions at the same time. Was reading an article today that a body needs 1700 calorie a day to prevent muscle breakdown. If you want to eat like a vegetarian, you will also need to source for the same protein source they do. It's not about quantity that makes people slim down, it's the quality. My 1 kg a week is evidence of that. Losing an ounce : well, if you are near your target weight, don't look at weight loss. Look instead to body fat and how you look in the mirror. You could just be flabby i.e. muscles is lax and not tight. |

Finally today i eat laksa after missing it for months!
When i started my own diet program(before LYN 30DS), i do workout everyday. now it's like 4-6 times a week. i think it won't affect my stamina after all. |
