Thanks for the clarification

I normally booked:-
MH Smart Fare - 100% (if not mistaken)
Economy Promo Fare - 70% (if not mistaken)
KL - KK (1014 Miles) & return 2028 Miles
KL - SDK (1149 Miles) & return 2298 Miles

Per person return ticket to KK or SDK from KL i normally pay around RM300-RM400.

I will ask my wife apply 1 enrich card too.

Thanks @MilesAndMore & @kons

Most booking classes (most codes even for EY) are now eligible for Enrich miles accrual. Yes, even the deeply discounted ticket will now also earn you Enrich miles but at lower rate (50% of the actual miles flown). Basically any ticket purchased directly from MAS (even if the total return ticket cost you just RM200 or so) or travel agencies (not tour group related) will earn you Enrich miles  thumbup.gif

Maybe it's only for Enrich members

I tried with another OneWorld FFP programme, even though I get lounge access and priority check in and also business luggage, there is no miles transferred to my FFP account even after 2 months I tried making a retro claim. It is either MAS is not responding to them or simply there is no miles to be credited.

Hi, i'm planning to go to london & paris this August and I've tried booking with MAS online. Is it normal that the taxes to Heathrow airport cost £245/pax?

Will the taxes be cheaper if I book my flight next month or so?

Generally it is like below but exceptions apply of course:
MH Flex: 125%
MH Smart: 100%
MH Basic: 50%-70%
MH Promo: 50%

Anyway, most important is the booking code you are booked into:
First (F or A): 200%
Business (J or C or D or Z): 150%
Economy (Y or B or H): 125%
Economy (K or M): 100%
Economy (L or V or S): 70%
Economy (N or Q or O): 50%

Yes. Indeed it is and it is not a unique practice. For instance, Cathay Pacific Asia Miles members will still be able to earn miles on most deeply discounted economy class ticket (CX or KA flight) but if you were to use your other FFP to earn miles from that ticket, say MAS Enrich, no miles will be awarded.

I tried with Qantas domestic on economy, paid a heavenly price that cost almost the same as my KUL - MEL ticket and got nothing. In my Enrich accounts it states fares not eligible. rclxub.gif

So far Star Alliance is easier to get miles by flying on partner airlines.

Haven't really flown on Star Alliance partner airlines but their participating hotels do credit the miles to my KrisFlyer account quite promptly.

On the other hand for MAS, you gotta consider yourself lucky if you do get your Enrich points by flying on partner airlines. I flew 2-way via Etihad and Delta and only 1-way for Delta has been credited (lucky me!). The other 3.. gone down the drain I guess. Talking to MAS CS is simply pointless.

Best part is I went to MAS office in SG they told me they couldn't do anything about my retro claim. They had to take my tickets and post to KL office for processing. Oh well, I'm sure my original docs would "lost in mail" so I requested for photocopy.

Guess what, 4 months have passed, and no sign of it in my Enrich account. Despite me having the photocopy, I already lazy to talk. Waste time. They cheat points only. shakehead.gif

Not only that, their customer service is top notch.
I have SA card parked under KrisFlyer.

Once I fly Turkish Airlines but I forgot to bring my Krisflyer card, then I did a retro claim and fax them the boarding pass.
After one week they did not respond anything, so I just emailed them to ask, then their manager called me to tell me that Turkish Airlines is taking a bit longer time to process their request, and since it is beyond their control, they are willing to offer me a lounge access pass which is transferable.

I'm trying to redeem my enrich point for KLM or Etihad as they are enrich partners and I am lost here. Mind to guide me guys?

Hmm. i have a different experience, travel early of April and didnt get any miles for it..
so i tried to submit via Enrich page for the missing miles but with errors (not sure why most of the enrich page submission failed) ended up to the MAS Contact page for the missing miles, and got an email the day after that they are looking at the matter, then after 3 days, miles credited to my account..

Overall experience alright to me, even it took less than a week.

Airport tax is refundable. Well that's Air Asia policy & I have claimed back twice b4 & no problem. So should be the same with MAS. If they reluctant to refund, you probably lodge a complain or read their term & Condition

You fly from Changi? The airport tax is around 40-50 SGD, very certain that it cost much more than the 16 RM. Passenger service and security also included in the airport tax. Airport tax must be refundable for all airlines. You are paying them in advance so they can pay to the airport IF you fly. Otherwise they are keeping your money. But if MAS reply you the admin fee to claim the airport tax due to no show is 500 RM then laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif
