I wish my credit card points could be transferred to Qatar Privilege Club, then I wouldn't stick with MAS liao.

but transfer to qatar also, it will be qmiles I guess, but not qpoints.
qmiles is quite useless in qatar apart from redeeming free flights.

mas ffp is bad i guess, last time i flew like 5 times with them but no miles were shown in my enrich membership.
then i just ditched the card.

Yes indeed. I don't benefit that much from silver status anyway, and can't access Premium Terminal even with gold status. Also, I don't fly that much in a year to be in Gold status.

Might as well redeem a business class ticket ... at least can enter the Premium Terminal. rclxm9.gif

Gold can access the Oryx lounge in Doha, which is not bad with some finger food.
Business class tickets usually can only be redeemed from 30,000 miles onwards.

Going back to MAS, I like the Golden Lounge because it is not that packed all the time.

Oryx lounge is more packed than Golden Lounge like 90% of the time.
I like the sleeper chair and sofa in Oryx lounge.
Since gold member can always bring another guest on the same flight into the lounge all the time, it's time to hunt for some lonely victims during check-in or while waiting for flight. It is like doing charity right.
The only thing I like about Golden Lounge is the exclusivity feel as there is no Premium Terminal in KLIA. LOL.

more or less like oneworld sapphire.

now there is a star alliance gold game in the website, who gets the fastest time will be upgraded to gold through their respective airlines.
the questions is quite easy if you are star alliance big fan.

I played twice already ... maybe I should play more by signing up for more Star Alliance program? tongue.gif

I think after you get the fastest, still have to do lucky draw. Not easy. sad.gif

what are the benefits of OneWorld Sapphire???
- extra baggage: which I don't need;
- lounge access: which I need, although I prefer premium lounge like those for first class (usually only for those travelling in 1st class only). sad.gif

Does anyone remember MAS promo beginning Feb this year, when MAS joins OneWorld?? hmm.gif

something like extra bonus miles when you fly with OneWorld partner airlines from 01Feb to May or something??

I think MAS didn't credit me bonus miles. sad.gif

AirAsia's RM315 fare
1. doesn't include check-in baggage allowance of 20kg (only 7kg carry-on luggage)
2. exclude fee for using Credit Card.

MAS's RM400 fare included 20kg check-in baggage allowance

Already book my ticket to Japan using my old passport number. Now already renew my passport, do I need to call them or just bring new passport during check in? I go to MAS "Manage my booking" can't change my passport number.

That's exact the total fare for MAS, which includes 20kg of Luggage and meal onboard. There will be additional charges if you opt for the insurance.

Same goes to Airasia, that's the amount you'll pay PLUS direct debit fee of RM4, or debit/credit card charges of RM8. You can waive those charges by booking using a big card. No food, no luggage. No insurance.

Just to note. MAS baggage allowance for economy is be 30kgs, and not 20kgs.

@bex -

1. Go show - You showed up in the airport, checked in and stuff but ended up not being able to go due to issues like passport issue and etc, a refund can be made for a certain fee for international flights but not domestic.

2. Cancellation/refund before departure - For a certain fee, they will charge you based on what they calculated.

3. Cancellation/refund after departure - same answer as 2.

Morning guys, wanna ask if MAS delay for 3hours and 15minutes, can I claim or any type of compensation from MAS? The delay was without any reason, only SMS me on the retime right 6 hours prior to depart. Ask the check in counter and they say unsure what is the reason for the retimed. I suspect MAS probably cancel the flight and merge with the next two flight.
