that barger sounds damn annoying sial. tell him directly how you feel about his unacceptable behaviour and make sure that he gets it clear that you are not gonna take anymore of his shit. don't bother sugarcoating your words. and don't bother giving him any more of the tolerance he doesn't deserve. just be honest with yourself and do what you think must be done. he needs to grow up and learn that the world doesn't revolve around his disrespectful ass.

Tried that 2 years ago when I was his roommate, twice. The whole apartment was basically a warzone. There's no cure for his ego and delusions of grandeur. He needs palliative treatment.

Eh, this is a BBing thread la, not about girly fights.

Yeah, it's called a defend mechanism. They make a something unacceptable and turn it into something acceptable in their minds.

He was my housemate last year. There was once he was asking me how to gain weight and stuff, and at the same time he asked me to boil eggs for him everyday when I'm cooking my own eggs. I was like "WTF you want to gain weight and you ask me to cook for you?" and instead of taking back his statement he said "I'll buy the eggs and you cook for me." I said "Fvck you. NO." Then he was like aiyo small things also cannot help then he get all angry like a 5 year old boy who can't get his sweets. He always asks people to do crazy things for him and when he gets rejected he'll use that aiyo small things also cannot help line.

That are you jealous line was a really good idea! But what if he says no i'm not jealous?

*
If he say that, you can go on the offensive, "If so then you wouldn't feel the need to bring it up and talk trash, so do yourself a favor and keep your piehole shut if you've nothing constructive to say."

Or if you'd like to keep a relatively conflict-free relationship with him, smile and laugh as though he said something extremely dumb and absurd (and he did in fact do just that), and ask him who told him that. And then you can explain that there's a big difference between bodybuilding and powerlifting, but even bodybuilders get considerable gains in strength through training.

If it comes down to it, challenge him to prove that your muscles 'are just for show', by going to the gym right there and then, no excuses. It puts him in a catch 22 situation, where if he accepts, you'll make him eat his words, and if he declines, he'll look like a *****.

He's having his revenge on you for not cooking eggs for him! And also the sour grape syndrome. LOL!
How about staring at him with the Heath-Ledger-Joker look or Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson look, flex your biceps, and say: "Are you sure? Wanna try out my non-functional strength? Nyek nyek nyek". Then give a big wide Joker grin, like this --> brows.gif

Eh, wow! Your full body split requires quite a lot of sets leh!
Normally when it's done high frequency (everyday), there's no need to go so many sets (unless you eat and recover like crazy). How long is one session?

I did as fast as I could, maximum rest time 2 mins. Total time taken about 1:15-1:30hrs

Florian,
A bit too long for a high frequency stuff (considering that it's a full body workout)... don't you think?

Shouldn't it be like 30-45 minutes? You're training full body for 6 days a week leh...
Try it out for a few week and see how.

He's in my class, my group mate and my group leader...until I graduate. He handles the attendance of the whole group including mine. To make things worse, both of our names starts with the same letter, so the college arrange everyone in class in the alphabetical order and I'm next to him, so no matter what we're doing, I'll always be next to him.

But at least he's not my housemate anymore.

Enough about that pukimacaucibai, see, starting this week, I'm changing my training routine into a full body workout after 2 years on the split. I'm following the one on this month's Muscle & Fitness mag on page 112. It's pretty lengthy, but basically it's training each muscle group twice a week in a 6 day training + 1 rest day week. Much like your alternating workout 1 and workout 2 thing. I'm going to do this for 2-4 weeks. It's very exhausting, and I'm only on day 2...Don't know how long I can tahan, but I need to get off from my plateau.

Example today I did:

QUADS
Squat 4x6-8
Leg extension 4x6-8

HAMSTRINGS
Romanian deadlift 4x6-8

TRICEPS
Pressdown 3x10-12
Overhead extension 3x10-12

BICEPS
Cable curl 3x15-20
Concentration curl 3x15-20

CALVES
Standing Calf raise 4x6-8
*
You do know right? That between 30-45 minutes is where you test level peaks? Between 45 mins - 60 mins it just holds steady for a little while, and starts to decline.

That's why for weightlifters, we always break to twice a day training. (Some like Naim Suley, 7x a day) So we can go heavy and take advantage of the elevated testosterone levels for good heavy lifts. So it's best that as a bodybuilder, you probably might want to do the same.

Ditto 45 minutes. Try to keep it below an hour!

I know about the peak levels and stuff, but I read somewhere in this high frequency article it's about increasing fat burning and boosting GH secretion. You saw my pics, I need a to cut down some fat.

Yesterday I did:

CHEST
Incline flye 4x6-8
Cable crossover 4x6-8

BACK
One arm DB row 4x10-12
WIde grip lat pull down 4x10-12

SHOULDERS
BB Overhead press 4x6-8
Upright row 4x6-8

TRAPS
DB Shrug 4x6-8

I skipped the 2 abs exercises because I've been in the gym for 1.5 hours.

Today I'm suppose to do:

QUADS
BB Lunge 4x15-20
Leg Extension 4x15-20

HAMSTRINGS
Lying Leg curl 4x15-20

TRICEPS
Close grip bench press 3x6-8
Lying triceps extension 3x6-8

BICEPS
Preacher curl 3x10-12
Incline DB curl 3x10-12

CALVES
Seated Calf raise 3x15-20
Standing calf raise 3x15-20

I want to do all of them but my fvcking gym doesn't have those calve machines and squat rack...see what I can do to improvise.

Just hold a pair of dumbbells and do the calf raises? Or if there's a leg press machine you can use it.

I'm not big, but I do if they get on my nerves.

And apparently, the Sg Long clubhouse gym is undergoing some renovations to expand the place by another room. *prays for a power rack and more weight plates* drool.gif
