LOL, that is the most ridiculous aesthetic need for bodybuilding I've heard.
I'd like to see some replies to that. |

I've been sick for 5 days (Wednesday to Sunday). Today (Sunday) is the only day I've been feeling good enough to actually eat right although I've been forcefeeding myself to get my macros up.
The only upside to being sick is that my ectomorphic genes kick in overtime to get me cut like mad LOL. Jokes. Anyway, I'm planning to hit the gym tomorrow, but maybe it's too soon? I need to get the barbell itch out of the way. Can I just go in and do 5rep squats with a light weight of about 105 to 110 kg? (my 3RM is 125kg) Or should I rest it out till next week? Thanks. |

QUOTE(pizzaboy @ Mar 9 2009, 03:19 PM) Genetics are a b**** aren't they? The genetic trace goes back to Genghis Khan. If I could find my genetics lecture, they did an analysis on a star cluster of Y-chromosome, the chromosome passed down from father to son. This star-cluster was traced back to Genghis KhanIF and ONLY IF I'm not mistaken, Iranians have a genetical root tracing to Caucasians. I read this off some website about why the heck do Americans hate Iranians so badly, when they're actually sorta like ....related. Maybe that's why lah they so darned big sized. Genghis Khan rampaged through the middle east effectively raping every woman in his way. So anyone from the east-middle east could have Genghis Khan ancestry. Interesting stuff eh? |

Full article link on Genghis Khan Y-chromosome 'star cluster'
http://www.pubmedcentral.nih.gov/articlere...i?artid=1180246 For those too lazy to read, this is the essence of the article. Star-cluster frequencies in populations represented by green sectors. For those who are keen on the info, reading the paper should be quite interesting. It's not very long. If you notice disparities between what little I have said and the paper, pardon my ignorance because I'm just retracing memories from 6 months ago. |

Drosophilla research is big in UCL. It's the main model for Prof. David Gems for the study of Biogerontology (Biology of Ageing).
So yeah, I can relate. We have flies coming into our yeast lab from time to time. Urghh. Enhancers for bb'ing? Steroids. |

QUOTE(alzaim @ Apr 8 2009, 06:13 PM) since we are on the topic.. What does that mean?okay i am currently bulking..but looking at the mirror the tummy area huge problem to me la..too much fat... should include more cardio? currently one time per week... does goin to the sauna helps? my diet is the closest to clean i can get...mayb one or two cheat meal per week.. When I was on a very clean diet, I had only skimmed milk, boiled eggs, steamed chicken breast, steamed beans, oats (in water during meals, in milk preworkout), salad (with vinegar) and natural peanut butter. Had one cheat meal per week which was every friday night. I found that it didn't really matter to me that much that I stayed on such a clean diet. |

It was more than 'no oily foods'. My carbs were sourced purely by oats. So all low GI.
Well, you can do cardio. I found that being on that spick and span diet did nothing for me so I'm back to eating pasta everyday. |

QUOTE(N0eL @ Apr 8 2009, 07:19 PM) What's wrong with cardio during the bulking phase? It helps with your lift progress. If only I could find my resource. This stigma attached to not doing cardio during the bulking phase is unfounded! There's so much benefit to the weightlifting side of things if you ADD CARDIO to your routine. |
