If I understand the problem correctly, you can buy a pair of cheap stools to emulate the function of the safety pins of a squat rack. Not ideal, but they ought to catch the bar when you fail (you'll mostly fail at the bottom anyway, not midway).i dont dare do heavier...coz i scared after i clean it up then when tired no energy to return it softly.. the perils of having no squat rack |

I did my first heavy wide-grip deadlift with a belt earlier today. Holy crap, makes alot of difference. Without a belt, not too difficult, still can stand straight after each set.
But when I wear a belt, feel like dying after each set and start to see stars. Found out that my back tended to hunch abit without the belt (probably due to back sprain I had a few months before), using the belt helped correct my form. |

Observe correct form with the deads. Back tight! Don't be hunching.
Also, belt too tight? My friend used to have that problem, it was quite funny to see him all redfaced. |

I had a headache last night before hitting the gym. I had a feeling that if I did legs it will probably get worse.
I was supposed to do legs that night but did a 65 mins jog instead. My headache subsided after the jog. Will replace weight training session on Thursday. |

QUOTE(Al@n2rock @ Jul 7 2009, 08:37 AM) Hmmmm, thinking wanna get my own belt also, buasir only happen when your food intake bad... lack of fiber, water, etc..izzit true if we carry lots of weight without using belt, the presure went u lifthing can make Buasir, i donnu what it call in english, but i try to google it, its call haemorrhoid, correct me if am wrong ya guys, if yes, thats scary man.... when you do heavy work, internal pressure is high.. so you need to squeeze your glute (kemut) and brace your abs (hardened it like someone want to punch on your abs) . honestly i got internal hemorrhoid, i got that when i still studying, lots of smoke, lots of spicy food, less drinking, less fiber.. now i do lots of deadlift, 130kg and increasing.. dont have any problem related to buasir, and also i dont wear belt. for me better you train your core first, if your core is weak, sure got problem when lifting heavy. try study and understand the mechanical movement of each exercise, not copy and practice. you dont want pop your spine disk (hernia), rite?
