Good on you Pizzaboy for being the moderator in Health & Fitness forum.

I have actually tried the ON Pro Complex and it tasted a lot better than the usual ON Whey 100% when mix with milk.

However, the price is far too expensive to justify this product.

Some photos of ON Pro Complex 2.3lbs

It is extremely difficult to maintain a healthy body while working in Malaysia.

I sometimes work on weekends, so I have to really push myself to the gym whenever I am free.

How fast does one lose muscles after having Diarhea?

I had diarrhea last week and was unable to eat much for at least 3 days.

Haha should have tell me, I would try my luck with 4D earlier haha.

My appetite is yet to recover but still managed to drink my shakes at the moment. Just eating a lot less, getting less tempted by food for some reasons.

Finally, I managed to do dumbbells shoulder press @ 55lbs per arm, total = 110lbs last night with the help of the kicking technique.

Thank guys.

PS. I am going to try 60-65lbs per arm next time which brings the total up to 120-130lbs.

There are many ways to shock the body.......

Ranging from changing reps and sets.

Changing entire exercise routine from splits to full body workout.

Using complexes.

And a lot more.....

The trick is to do something that your body isn't used to.

Hi,

Has anybody tried setting up a home gym with most of dumbbells, barbells and racks (ie. squat racks and benchpress) and maybe a treadmill? Including the rubber flooring.

I just want to find out the cost of setting one up at home plus the amount of space required.

Thanks.

I have set up everything and its been there for years but I dont have the will power to use it. It can cost around 5k ~ 7k depending on your equipment quality.
Recentloy someone wants to sell off his gym equipments lock stcok and barrel for 13k. Not sure still avail or not. You can setup your gym and start a gym business.

Added on March 31, 2009, 1:22 pmBTW my home gym consists of;

1. Multistation. (incl. plates 4 x 5kg, 4 x 10kg, 4 x 20kg)
2. Preacher curl station.
3. EZ curl bar (4 x 10 kg, 4 x 20 kg)
4. Straight bar (share with above)
5. Free weight Dumbells (can add, reduce plates) (4 x 5 kg, 4 x 10 kg)
6. Treadmill
7. Stationary Bike
8. Abs twister
9. Floor Abs exerciser
10. Exercise mat.

And an overweight owner who hardly uses any of the above.  biggrin.gif

Do you find having rubber flooring necessary?

If you do have rubber flooring would you care to share the cost and how to clean the rubber floor?

Thanks.

How much does the bar alone within the Smith machine weigh (not those with springs)?

Thanks.

Also, looks like GNC has finally started competing effectively against other sellers of whey protein.

Last night, I bought a 5lb ON Whey Protein for RM199 and it came with a free protein bar from GNC in 1 Utama. May not beat the prices in Garage sales but nonetheless still considered affordable.

Hi,

I need help again to get into position for dumbbells benchpress.

I am having a hard time getting into the position to do dumbbells benchpress for 70lbs and above by myself. Usually, I get help for that, doing the actual benchpress isn't difficult but getting into the position is for me.

Will appreciate any help.

Thanks in advance.

I used to be doing 4x10, change to 6x6 lately, will change to a different routine again by end of this month.

I figured if I can do flat barbell benchpress @ 80kg-85kg for 6-8 reps, I should be able to do 70lbs per dumbbells just fine.

It's not the exercise per se, it's the getting into position part that's difficult for me. Anyway, I will try the kick method that I used for dumbbells shoulder presses as advised the last time.

80-85kg means 40kg-42.5kg per arm.

However 70lbs is equivalent to 31.81kg, so there is a deficit weight of 8.2kg to 10kg per arm compared to the barbell.

I'll experiement a little when I get a spotter the next time just to be safe.

Cheers

Moving forward from dumbbells, what are the thoughts on Super-setting?

"What Is A Superset?
A superset is the alternating back and forth between two (or more) exercises until the prescribed number of sets is complete, usually with no rest between exercises. There are various types of supersets, however."1.

1. Sourced from Bodybuilding.com

Pros:
Save time?
Challenging?

Cons:
Slow progressions? in terms of poundage
Requires a lot of energy?
Requires a lot of concentration?

Wow, where did you get that? That is making me really hungry.

Also, will you be participating in the Standard Chartered run this year?

I am participating too.

I have been doing slightly more cardiovascular exercises than previously, especially on rest days.

I am finally back with weights after one month of jogging long distance.

Now will only jog for 30 mins instead of 1 hour 15 mins.

Feels great to do weights again.

I usually buy Goodday Milk or Farmhouse Full / Skim milk.

I don't like drinking Dutch Lady milk (full or skim) because it tastes as if they have added something in it.

I had a headache last night before hitting the gym. I had a feeling that if I did legs it will probably get worse.

I was supposed to do legs that night but did a 65 mins jog instead. My headache subsided after the jog.

Will replace weight training session on Thursday.

Hmmm, I gotta try Scivation Whey sometime in the future.

Don't really like the idea leaving the 10kg whey in the office though.
