QUOTE(aiman04 @ Mar 15 2013, 08:10 AM) Hi guys, In offer letter it states that I have to provide "at least 2 months notice" if I were to quit. So that mean I can give notice longer than 2 months right? I plan to start with my new company in July, so I thought I would give them more time to find replacement and handover work. Also, I'm bonded until end of June, I would be considered to have serve the bond fully right even though I tendered 3 months earlier? Thanks. Appreciate if anyone with knowledge can enlighten me. Yes. You can give a longer notice.

QUOTE(yiivei @ Mar 15 2013, 11:03 AM) Yes. You can give a longer notice. Thanks! Any idea about the bond? Anyone? Logically I think it's fine, tendering is just an advanced notice, by the time I served the notice I would've completed the bond. Just need confirmation from experts or anyone from HR here. Don't want to ask my own HR because I haven't tendered yet.

I need to serve 3 month notice but i just gave 4 months notice and mention it in my resignation letter that i serve 3 months notice and completed my bond.

I have some doubt I'm dealing with, I already tender my resignation last February, my notice in my contract supposedly 4 months, but I only serve 2 months so another 2 months have to pay in lieu. My last day would be this 31st March but my company let me finish off my annual leave balance which is 7 days. The problem is my boss won't pay my salary for this March because he said it is include in the 2 months of pay in lieu, is it correct what he said? As far as I know, the 2 months of pay in lieu meaning I have to compensate the company for the other 2 months in contract not from the current month. Could anybody enlighten me?

I guess what you are saying is that your boss has refused to pay you your March salary and included it in the 2 months' salary that you owe the company. This means that it's only 1 month of salary that you ought to pay back. Please clarify this with your boss.

I tender my resignation and will leave earlier than my notice period of 2 mths. However, I will still be working there for a mth (new company buyout 1 mth). My current employer said that for the 1 mth that i still work there, no Epf will be paid since my resignation is by a buyout. Is this legally True?

Dear all, I urgently need to resign from my job that I worked less than a week due to personal circumferences. But according to the offer letter that I signed, I either give 1 month notice period or 1 month salary in lieu of notice. Furthermore, maybe due to lack of communication during the interview, the job that I applied is difference that I currently doing. I applied for position A, but the offer letter is position B. And I still signed it( I thought is the same job with difference job name). Please help, I can't afford to pay 1 month salary for the notice fee. What should I do now ?

My fren had resigned from a year contract job at 5th month before her confirmation.. thats probition period... The reason of the resigning is that she is unhappy with current working environment where she is forced to work outside her specific job role...
Now she is server with letter of demand... demanding 3x months pay.. and plus legal fees for the proceeding...
if called in by court, can she argue not to pay the legal fees since the case is raised by the company and they are the one shall pay for it.. there is no agreement that she shall pay for them... except the 3 months salary...
thanks in advance
