QUOTE(fendy87 @ Feb 6 2009, 04:55 PM) so cute with black n white....its a panda hamster...syrian is so called panda hamster bcoz of its behaviour....but urs more equally likely to panda...so cute..... Syrians are sometimes called Teddy Bear Hamster. The Panda hamster is more the black and white color combination. |

Now can give better care to them. 1 is Moomoo and 1 is Pikpik. Got any other people use that name arr?? Just bought a bigger Cage today. Hopefully they enjoy it. I just came back from a movie and found the smaller robos sibling of the 2, had a bad scratch on its back. Red scratches and when I took it up to touch it, the patch were rough. I think the blood clot dried. I think they had a bad fight.
Now, how can I help it? Can apply any antiseptic (got such thing?) ? Where can I buy it? Now I really need to separate them both. Gonna be expensive. Another water bottle. Another running wheel. ANother bathing sand box. It was weird. I frequently see them sleeping side by side. So sweet. And they can ended up in a bloody fight. My 2 robos siblings are about 5 months old. |

You can apply antiseptic like Dettol but make sure you diluted it with more water than usual for your hammy and apply with a cotton bud. Or else he will be in a lot pain if the concerntration of the Dettol is too strong. Now, how can I help it? Can apply any antiseptic (got such thing?) ? Where can I buy it? The water must not be white like how we normally use. Anyway, fighting can be many reasons.... space maybe? How big is your cage? Now, how can I help it? Can apply any antiseptic (got such thing?) ? To tame a roborovski needs time and patient. What you can do is filter all the sunflower seed out first. Add the remaining into the food bowl. Then slowly use your hand to feed it. DO THIS DAILY. If you skip a few days is useless. And please do give enough sunflower seed.
I use this tactic and my robo now slighty tame. Can be handle but it will never allowed me to grab it. |

May your hamster RIP.Did you let your hamster settled down first before you go and play with it? Sometimes hamsters gone to a new home and they get stress and they'll get wet tail disease and died within 24 hours if don't have treatment immediately. Sometimes also because of the hamster itself, maybe not healthy when you bought it back. Did you really choose a healthy one and spend time to observe them first before you decided which one to buy? There's a lots of reason for a hamster to died after gone to a new home, it can be sickness, stress, wrong diet and so on. You have to find out the reason. |
