Wanna ask sumthing...Having problems wit my new Robo.
How come my robo hammies sleep all the time??? sad.gif
They always run away from my hand... Even when I'm holding food for them! WHY??? WHY??? WHY???
*
They are nocturnal. That is why hamsters are more active at night and sleep during the day. It's their natural sleeping habit.

Robos are very timid. It's normal that they try to run away from your hand. Some will bite to escape.

Robos are the hardest to tame. Robos still can be tame but takes longer period of time.

its been one week me wtih bibo...but bibo seem not really frenly with me...it is hard to take him out of the cage...always runaway..like playing hide n seek

Lol dude relax.

Heres a song for you.

Just let Bibo be calm with the new environment. It may take a long time.

Just relax. And always let it smell your smell so it can be tame with you. i read it somewhere.

Hey there. My hamsters took about 3-4 weeks to get used to me and my room so don't rush things. They will get used to you eventually just give them time. Now (its been about 8 month) they are not scared at all if I open the cage to refill their seeds, used to my smell I guess.

Hope that helps! - R.S.

Im having doubts about my Hammie Breed.

Can anyone or any hammie sifu's out there double confirm what kind of brred is my hammie?

I did some research its a Campbelli (Phodopus campbelli) Breed

It does bite when my hand goes inside the cage to fetch them, but once they are on my hand they are ok. So just wanna know if any of the Hammie experts out there can help me identify which breed they are.

They have a long nose, eye slightly reddish similar eye like albino animals.

attached with are the pictures of them

I was told that this is a Panda Hamster? Got such breed? I previously owned a winter white and they died of age cry.gif Now after seeing these hammie, i decided to go for it again. The shop clearly said its a Panda Hamster but when i do my research nothing much specific info i can find about them.

Hopefully can help me identify what breed are they.

Thank you in advance.

If its a syrian, hmmmm they are selling at i think same price as WW and put a separate sign saying its a Panda Hamster. And syrian in a Different place.

Both of them is at approximately 3 mths old.

But i dont think a syrian have a Red Colour eyeball as all the albino have.

Hehehe...Thanks.

Well they dont bite me that hard. But they only bite when i want to pick them up to my palm.

But once they are on my palm, they dont bite anymore.

Maybe gonna give them some time to let them recognize me then they let me pick them up.

It depends if it a nibble or a bite.

Hamster bite will be painful. Sometimes puncturing into the skin and bleed. Biting could be a defensive move/instinct. Nibble is to test if it is edible.

Hehehe.....Yeah....

Nibble....They do nibble on me also at a point where i want to pick them up. I let them nibble on my top side skin, not my inner palm just to satisfy them or let them recognize its me... But got few times they bit me hard...but...i think my skin too hard....Hahhaha....

It's a black spot (mottled black) russian campbell hamster. Not syrian hamster.

See here to see the similarities of the RC:
http://whatthepets.blogspot.com/2007/09/dw...n-hamsters.html

Compared to the syrians here:
http://www.geocities.com/aaahamsters/Syrians.html

Don't have syrian hamster characteristics also. 3-4 months so small in size compared to a 3-4 months old syrian. Very huge difference.
