anyone have contacts for citibank collection dept? I tried call centre and they say only akpk collection dept can check my settlement amount. Each time they transfer, call will disconnect. Even 1 lady gave me a "direct line" but when i call, this line is not in service. My state dont have citibank branch so i cant do walk in.

I hv just enrolled myself to AKPK program since unable to cope anymore, dig hole here to bury hole there. Business is hit badly due to the pandemic & needed some $$$ to breathe so we can manage the debts. My situation is, aside from other loans & CCs, I also have 2 housing loans, one is on my name RM155k, and another is joint loan RM511k. DMP is approved for the joint loan, but when I asked my counselor about the RM155k one, my counselor said only 1 house can include in DMP program?

Coz my partner & I both enrolled for DMP, so when my partner got a call from AKPK, we saja2 ask again abt the loan in my name & she said is possible pulak,

Anybody else have 2 housing loans in DMP or similar situation as I did?

folks, im currently in DMP program about 4 years...still 6 years to go....

Have some questions, if anyone can answer/advise, deeply appreciated.
1. If I've cleared all my debts with banks, and withdraw from the DMP, will there be any cooling period?
as last I've heard that AKPK officer told me that once all facilities has been cleared, require 6 months to cool off then can proceed for loans, apply cc, etc.

2. While i'm currently in DMP program, my parents transfer house to my name, will it be any issue or need to take note?

3. While i'm currently in DMP program, can I apply for housing loan or car loan?

4. Any ways to check the latest outstanding amount and when is the last payment date? It's very time consuming to call banks individually, sometimes unreachable, etc...

Ans : Subject to bank approval. propose not the take loan / CC with same bank.

2. While i'm currently in DMP program, my parents transfer house to my name, will it be any issue or need to take note?

Ans : as long as no deal with loan name transfer should be ok

3. While i'm currently in DMP program, can I apply for housing loan or car loan?

Ans : Nope you cant....

4. Any ways to check the latest outstanding amount and when is the last payment date? It's very time consuming to call banks individually, sometimes unreachable, etc...

Ans : Check CCRIS can get the balance loan amount but not the last payment date.

not sure about cooling period but I managed to get my car loan approved 1 month after I withdrawn. They also supplemented me with credit card as well. Provided your K status in CCRIS is clear. Also depends on bank to bank
I have withdrawn from AKPK in February and self settle all my debts.

Now must spend wisely and kick the habit of over spending. If not back to square ones.

For my case, i'd settled all my debts & withdrawn from DMP on last year JULY. Then apply CC on Sept 2020. Recently got my hire purchase approved...
From my point of view, after fully settle, you may try to apply loan / CC from those bank which is not in your AKPK list last time.

guys, i have done partial settlement but not receive release letter yet. AKPK said if no release letter, I need submit pay the amount shown in system which include the settled banks. If I do pay that amount, will I get the extra payment back later? Who will pay me back? AKPK of bank? How will they be paying me? Direct to my account or by cheque?

depend , if akpk already release money to bank then you have to ask bank to refund you.
if the time akpk release to bank and that account bank already close then your money will be floating in akpk.
in this case next payment you can pay less by own minus out the amount floating in akpk account.

login the akpk portal if there is a floating cash which can cover all your monthly payment then you can skip the payment.
if not cover full then you just pay the amount which not cover by your floating cash.

Sorry for late reply. Try my best to answer
If got extra, it will be for next payment for other banks. If have cleared all, still have balance i think akpk will refund back.

Try call akpk customer care to ask.

If loan done, bank wiuld provide settlement letter. Not sure what is new process if there is. My time, bank provide release letter i will upload to akpk. Bank will also do their part to update akpk.

Yes, the bank will do it. If u have letter, upload to akpk.

Not sure if this citibank is the last bank you have with akpk. If yes, then no need to pay, but akpk will still send reminder to you.

I think you can pay the usual amount (just to avoid akpk trouble you). the extra amount akpk pay to citibank, citibank will refund to you. citi will send you a letter of overpaid amount so you can bring to branch to redeem, but this takes some time to get back. If i recalled correctly, citi pay me back like 1 month after i get letter to the branch to request refund. What inconvenience.

i was thinking, if pay less, akpk would not know which bank not to pay in their process even you told them.

i am having hard time getting a settlement offer from citibank. my state dont have citibank office so i have to call in. but normal agent cannot help me cause under akpk. each time agent try transfer call will disconnect. citibank akpk dept after a month still no call back.

what if i stop paying akpk and let the dmp revert back to normal? then i call in to citibank "normal" agent to get a settlement? will that work?

Based on my experience , just make a complaint via CITIBANK online / Customer service and they would assist you.

Graduated From Uni AKPK - 08/02/21

Refinance approved - 14/04/21

Hire Purchase approved - yesterday
