Hi All..
I've just submitted my application to withdraw from AKPK. Being a member since june 2014. biggrin.gif
Reason I have some intention to pay one of the biggest loan amount while the rest I shall continue with banks. My expectation the rest hutang will gradually become lesser in shortest time since I keep paying as normal tenure.

Been paying Rm2800 under akpk since 2014. Pre AKPK amount was close to RM5,000

Will need to wait 7 days until AKPK approves my application.

Question :

1. I even called each pf the bank they wont able to reveal the amount owed under this program all subjects to AKPK consent
2. How do I make my "normal" payment pre-akpk again? I have almost couldn remember what was the outstanding amount since some of the bank didn't send me statement anymore
3. What will be the arrangement and rate upon exiting AKPK. Afraid the banks will still imposing me late charges la penalty you know la they have so many reasons to inply anthing when u are not backed up by AKPK.

Anyone has the experience dealing with this

Question :

1. I even called each pf the bank they wont able to reveal the amount owed under this program all subjects to AKPK consent
ANSWER : Call Collection Dept every bank except Standard Chartered (Redemption Dept) ask for actual amount to do earlier settlement.
2. How do I make my "normal" payment pre-akpk again? I have almost couldn remember what was the outstanding amount since some of the bank didn't send me statement anymore
ANSWER : Have you skipped from AKPK ?
3. What will be the arrangement and rate upon exiting AKPK. Afraid the banks will still imposing me late charges la penalty you know la they have so many reasons to inply anthing when u are not backed up by AKPK.
Exit from AKPK once you have make full settlement every banks , they would update automatically and would remove from your akpk dashboard
My experience (most banks sent me release letter within 24 hours except SC took 2 weeks)
1. Call Collection Dept every bank except Standard Chartered (Redemption Dept) ask for actual amount to do earlier settlement.
2. Pay over counter or pay online (depend on their procedure)
3. Inform them once payment has been made
4. Ask for them for release letter via email and original would be posted to your current address.

Normally once full settlement has been paid they would inform AKPK and would remove from your AKPK dashboard

Thanks for your valuable advises.
My withdrawal have just been approved by AKPK. Not sure what is next except for HSBC

I will settle 1 HSBC personal loan and CC
Remaining - Standard Chartered and CC will continue to serve the loan self arrangement.

I do not want to stay longer in AKPK and decided to self arrange to serve the loan. The amount that I have to pay now once I quit AKPK (upon settling the HSBC loan) will be similar plus the tenure will be shorter.

I am not debt free yet only quitting AKPK as I am now can afford to pay the loan minuses 1 big loan as full settlement. Unlike youi, you have finally settled every loans but I am still not able to do that. Just some liberty to self manage the hutang direct to the bank.

Better with AKPK coz interest (9%) remain and no more hidden charges/ penalty and other charges.
Quitting AKPK is not good option unless you have finally found your best way to settle all your debts.
Good luck !

Today I have settled all HSBC hutang.
The other 2 more loan from other banks they converted to another term loan so I will keep paying as normal.
Under akpk they managed to get the bank to convert 9% and extend to another term. The rates shall remained accordingly (as informed by the bank)
Must now check ccris how does this appear if you quit akpk.

From akpk convert to term loan. Does it affect me from getting any hire purchase or housing loan?

u mean u already withdrawn akpk? Basically same situation like me. I also need some answer on this.
maybe it is harder to get a loan from existing bank that you owed before during akpk.
Anyone knows how long CCRIS will hold your AKPK status upon your exit in the program? Thanks

after you have cleared or settled, the bank has to update BNM. it is updated/refreshed on 15th of every month
I would suggest you have a current record of your ccris report, I have seen some that has >0 numbers in the months columns, which would foresee needs some extra time to clear.

For withdrawn, it will be different case as still owe or paying to the bank.

so true about the 0 numbers as seen in my latest ccris. I have raised data verification to BNM supported with all records. The other banks have removed the Loan under AKPK restructurings tatus except HSBC. Strangely this is the bank that I made my full payment. Why don't they just wipe off the data from CCRIS.

me also bekas banduan. Waiting for 1 bank to remove AKPK loan restructuring under CCRIS status. The officer had called me they will remove but until now still there. I received sms my case on the AKPK status resolved already but there isn't any update in CCRIS.
Other banks done their part already. Can they choose to remain the status with AKPK if you already quit? whats the point we quit if still wearing the akpk badge.

Ya..the response time from some banks are too slow.  Havnt received the returned call from the bank ( Citi and UOB)  for one almost a week. Just asking for the actual balance for settlement.
*
Yes. Really slow. 1 bank even put the status Rescheduled Credit Facility upon me exiting AKPK. Last time when i checked with this bank they said the original loan has been converted with new term now it seems the status is different. Guess they wont easily tag u as clean as before upon you graduated without full settlement. Dunno whether this will impact my future borrowing. For sure it has.

folks, im currently in DMP program about 4 years...still 6 years to go....

Have some questions, if anyone can answer/advise, deeply appreciated.
1. If I've cleared all my debts with banks, and withdraw from the DMP, will there be any cooling period?
as last I've heard that AKPK officer told me that once all facilities has been cleared, require 6 months to cool off then can proceed for loans, apply cc, etc.

2. While i'm currently in DMP program, my parents transfer house to my name, will it be any issue or need to take note?

3. While i'm currently in DMP program, can I apply for housing loan or car loan?

4. Any ways to check the latest outstanding amount and when is the last payment date? It's very time consuming to call banks individually, sometimes unreachable, etc...
*
not sure about cooling period but I managed to get my car loan approved 1 month after I withdrawn. They also supplemented me with credit card as well. Provided your K status in CCRIS is clear. Also depends on bank to bank
I have withdrawn from AKPK in February and self settle all my debts.

Now must spend wisely and kick the habit of over spending. If not back to square ones.
