Not sure about Sepang.
But if you don't mind travel a bit, there are Taekwondo and Kickboxing classes around Kajang area,
and a Choi Kwang Do class at Putrajaya.

The fees should be ~RM50 per month. Its best you check with the instructor. TRJ teaches standup fights and jujitsu (locks, throws, leverages, grappling, ground fights).

GENERAL UNDERSTANDING
I personnlly feel that (for which ever art a person is taking) going for a class lasting less than 1 1/2 hour is never enough.

Imagine this, we go for a class ( kick and punch a particular style for 10 reps, continued this for 10 different styles ) once a week. You sweat out. By 4 or 6 months, you're promoted. You feel good. But you've only been kicking and punching the style (4 weeks x 6 months x 10 times) 240 time ONLY. WOuld that make a person good enough in the kicking and punching?

Ok, my point is, we should be attending more than once a week for any martial class. Anything less and we get promoted is merely an act of deceiving ourselves. This is very dangerous as it gives us false security.

Agreed.
Last time when I practiced judo (back in college days),
I had to attend at least 3 classes (2 hrs each) every week in order to stay competitive.
I can really see the difference if I only practice once a week during exam time: my stamina and speed went down...

Martial arts is like a pot of boiling water.
The moment you stop, it would cool down and take a lot of energy to heat it up again.

The more you learn, the more you realise that you know very little.

Are u gonna say tek kwan do instead of choi kwang do? Any website for that putraja classes? Thats the nearest. Kajang is too far for me. I search already but cannot find any info about martial art classes around sepang n nilai area. This is like a death city...

Anyone here from hapkido? traditional Ju-juitsu? Silat? Just want to know their opinion regarding the arts. Im not taking martial arts yet but am deeply interested. Just dont know wat to take. One question, can u still train for flexibility at 19?

You can also check out SMASH. They have Taekwondo and KixBxx. I'm currently in the KixBxx class, its kickboxing and suitable for ladies who wants some action and cut lots of calories. There's no krav maga in peninsular malaysia. There was a seminar on krav maga a few months ago in Singapore.

there's no jkd in malaysia. Preferably, you need do wingchun as a foundation before embarking on jkd. JKD concentrates on fighting skills with very little emphasis on self defence. Attack is the Best defence.

And from the name, why don't you consider taking BJJ or MMA classes instead of Wing Chun. The instructor is a world champion grappler.

If the wing chun instructor is still teaching at Crush, you can't go wrong learning from him. I heard he's wing chun lineage is the Hong Kong version, which is the one that Bruce Lee learned from Yip Man.

1st month payment is registration fee rm50 + monthly fee rm140 so total is rm190.second month rm140 and so on.not more than 10 ppl.

after the IP Man Movie, so many ppl wanna learn Wing Chun liao... lolx... dunno why?? If not wrong, founder of Wing Chun is the mother of Fong Sai Yuk... hahaha!!! U know the movie acted by Jet Li and Michelle Yeoh? No one talk about Wing Chun tat time...

Guys, make sure u choose a martial art that you really like and master it as your strong base... not only for 3 minutes... even MMAs fighter have their own specialized MA

If u interested in Sanshou competition, hope to c u in competition (invite us to c) Dun forget, Bruce Lee got big influences from Karate, he combine Wing Chun mostly with Karate techniques... Well as for me, since young I already love martial arts. During my primary days I had learn Taekwando and secondary school days I had learn Mantis style. So I kind of do not want to learn back the same thing again and come to think of it. I love Chinese Kung Fu more . While now I just want to continue learning other form of Wushu which is Wing Chun which already quite popular before the Ip Man movie. Well I do admit that since watching Ip Man movie more or less it influence a bit

oic..ok..ey ta wing chun instructor in crush is from hong kong wan arr?n i heard tat wing chun and muay thai is mixed wan wo in crush..no mer?tat means u learn both wing chun and muay thai..

the sifu is malaysian but he learn wing chun from hong kong.wing chun and muay thai it's not mixed in crush mma.just the t-shirt show "internatinal wing chun and muay thai".

oic..so do u get to kick or punch sand bags and stuff like tat?how many days u train in crush?

sand bag,rubber human,target shield,punch bag and wooden dummy.4 days per week.i got children so i can't everydays go train. . bro,i think u never learn martial arts before,right?

Erm im very interested in learning how to use Nunchakus...
Recently, i've been working on the wrist-flip trick... It didn't turn out so well..

no black belt BJJ holder in msia?

Hey man, do you know that in the old days, it takes about 10-15 years to earn a black belt in BJJ? A blue belt in BJJ takes about 3 years and it's considered the equivalent of a BB in other more popular MAs like TKD or Karate.

So till today, they are only a handful of black belts in BJJ compare to the millions of black belts from other MAs all over the world.

Having said this, there so happen to be a BJJ black belt in Malaysia, but he's not Malaysian.

Actually, nowadays you probably could get a blue belt in BJJ after training for 1.5 - 2 years (2-3 times a week). Still, yeah, it's quite a long time to get to the 1st coloured belt. Fun (but sometimes frustrating) journey, though...

err... yea.. it is not easy.. but as for black.. with a purple/brown belt and u join accredated competitions u can get a black if u perform well...

i might be joining gracie barras' school when i go 2 d states... d school there only has a 1st degree bb prof.. i didnt know msia got a 2nd degree prof.. lol..

i think i might pick up in msia 1st before i go there.. thanks for d link ^^

Hwaaa!!! But Kyoukushin I would say is a bit different in their kumite style from some others. But, if you can survive real Kyoukushin, you will beat the crap out of anybody coz you don't fell no more pain

There are a fair bit of Kyoukushin vids on youtube if you haven't seen them. Two well known non-Japanese guys are Andy Hug (may his soul rest in peace) and Francisco Filho.

hey... i tot of joining a martial arts class but dunno which to decide...i'm thinking of taking either karate or jujitsu but the problem is i'm already 20+ and i have no basics in anything...

which arts do you think is good for me, i want to learn self defence so that i can protect myself if necessary...dont want to punch people that much...just wanna protect myself without inflicting much damage, the less punch is better

please advice...
