read somewhere in the thread that Daikin inverter aircond has different wiring compared to other brands.

but how about its non-inverter models? i couldn't find the installation manual.

i have done with aircond piping + wiring. the aircond power point is for the indoor unit, and there is a second sets of wires between the outdoor and indoor units that run along the piping.

can I install Daikin non-inverter model with this type of wiring?

thanks!

Yes, Daikin ac require this kind of special wiring for both inverter and non-inverter.
I had to give up Daikin due to this issue as wiring had been done in normal way. At last, installed mitsubishi, so far so good.

Hard to get best deal for electrical items at fair. You may compare with outside price, will see the different.

My room's air cond has weird sound for past few days. Just now i open up the indoor unit and found it has really crazy amount of dust.

fyi, i do regularly clean the filter once a month and do a pretty comprehensive wiping of the blower every 3 months or so, and i've never encounter this huge amount of dust. I however never cleanse the cooling fins cause the first time i try to clean them, i notice how fragile and easily i could accidentally bend them.

upon inspection, i notice moisture build up inside the unit. Heck i can see water droplet on the fins, and i guess its the moisture that attract all the dusts.

is the unit faulty? any advise?

Hi all. My husband planned to install few units of Daikin brand non inverter ac for the new house as he got the info saying that Daikin ac has good quality material. However myself I would like to pick York brand becoz my colleagues comment York has very good & fast cooling effect. Any end users or sifu mind to share your experience & opinion?

p/s read from above saying that daikin ac need special wiring? Currently my new house is having all the ac wiring & piping. So means all cannot use daikin ac?
Thanks!

Daikin has bought over the OYL Manufacturing Sdn Bhd which currently manufacturing air conditioners for Daikin, York, Acson and McQuay.

You just gauge yourself how much different in term of the quality among all these products!

Yes, based on word of mouth, York aircond is very fast cooling. the drawback is that, York does not have 5 stars rated aircond series.

actually, how fast cooling time u expect from the aircond? 5minutes? 3 minutes?

Not sure about your intention, do you want to do installment?
All my electrical items are purchased from those small chinese man shop, price also cheaper to those chain shops.
But need to pay cash.

installment are charged back to customer. If you don't believe ask the retail shop for cash price and later tel them for installment plan. They will ask you pay extra like 4 to 5% minimal.

Yup, +1 to weikee comment.
Even though chain shiop also will charge certain % for installment plan.
Dumb rule: if you purchase price is higher, they will offer you installment plan for free.
If you purchase price already the best price, they will charged so call admin fee.

York is reliable enough but in terms of sound level...they are not good...and i agree with forumer iamsobloddysick...york just don't have 5star ac compared to panasonic or LG...

I want to install aircond in one of my bedroom but there is no aircond switch ready. Can the aircond installer also help to fix the switch or do I need to engage an electrician separately?

Some AC Installer might know how, but I will say get a pro electrician to do it. Don't because you want to save the 200 bucks you have a burnt house.
