anyone bought hitachi air-cond? any idea or comment on this brand?thanks
*
It's a brand you can trust. If you have budget you can get Hitachi because its price is usually higher than other brands.

Nobody mention about hitachi inverter aircon? Planning to get this air con
*
the technical spec of hitachi inverter aircond is somewhat similar to toshiba inverter aircond.

it is a nice product with 2 years indoor +7 years motor warranty.

looking for air-cond to cool my room. read thru almost more than 50 pages.
from what i gather, japenis brands like pana/mitsu and daikin are quiet and long-lasting.
whereas local brand york is noisy after just a while.

how abt china brands like haier? they have a large factory in puchong.
so spare parts and service shld be good right?
*
erm..Midea is a good and reliable china aircond brand.

Electrolux aircond source from Midea though.

and not to forget Carrier aircond.

Damn...I been told that Inverter / Non inverter copper cant be mixed, hence I didn't install Inverter version....but from above Inverter piping can use by Non Inverter???
If true...too late
*
i dont think people will pay high for the inverter piping and use it for non inverter series aircond. if there is, it is only a small group of customers (price doesnt matter) would do so.

Thanks for confirming. So far do you think is it on par with the bigger branded air con out there? I am considering midea as well, but then a bit concerns on the reliability thought  hmm.gif .
*
Carrier and Electrolux are using Midea's aircond compressor.

I asked my friends from china. They said Gree Air Conditioner is the Top Brand among all the air conditioner in China. Anyone installed Gree Air Conditioner at home?
Why not you consider Gree ?
Beside price, what make you choose Midea Air Conditioner?

Added on December 14, 2011, 11:32 pm

How about GREE ? Are they using Midea's compressor too?
*
Gree and Midea a/cond are commonly seen in china.

Daikin Low Sound Level

FT SERIES
1HP - 28dB indoor / 49dB outdoor
1.5HP - 31dB indoor / 49dB outdoor
2hp - 35dB indoor / 52dB outdoor

FTKS R410 inverter
1hp - 25dB indoor / 43dB outdoor
1.5hp - 26dB indoor / 44dB outdoor
2hp - 34dB indoor / 44dB outdoor

Daikin Super Low Sound Level

FT SERIES
1HP - 25dB indoor / 44dB outdoor
1.5HP - 28dB indoor / 44dB outdoor
2hp - 32dB indoor / 47dB outdoor

FTKS R410 inverter
1hp - 22dB indoor / 38dB outdoor
1.5hp - 23dB indoor / 39dB outdoor
2hp - 31dB indoor / 39dB outdoor

long term dB consistency is what Daikin company pay great attention to.

so far based on my experience, no second aircond brand can match the standard of Daikin.

most aircond brands that available in the market are generally focusing too much on add-on features that attract most attention from the end users.

lowest fan speed, since i dont want chill.

i've heard daikin's before .. not sure about inverter but i don't think they are as quiet as mitsu's.
*
Mitsu as you said, it is quiet, but it is not consistent (low sound) in its service over the period.

it is same case if you switch to Sharp.

you are influenced by the ads and the self-emotion concludes your decision.

ya. many ppl said york aircon is noisy, not sure it is truly noise.
salesman promoting mitsubithi to me, but i dont this his words is reliable, as they push mitsubithi is due to a higher margin they gain.
*
To see the total net weight difference (deluxe model)

1 horsepower

daikin : 36kg

mitsubishi heavy industry : 35kg

panasonic : 34kg

York : 34kg (very high BTU hence it is very cooling at full speed, so the drawback is the vibration)

Just got my airconds fixed today.

2 SHARP units...1 HP: model AH-XP10NRV and 1.5 HP model AH-XP13NRV.
1 DAIKIN 1.0 HP

both inverter type.

Kinda regretting buying Sharp, My unit faces sunset..so its extra hot in the afternoon.
Only Daikin is able to make the room cold. Both Sharp models suck big time.
*
Sharp is the lowest performance among Panasonic, York, Daikin, hitachi, Mitsubishi heavy industry, Mitsubishi electric.

Is it? I'm planning to get Sharp A/C due to its Plasmacluster tech. Should I reconsider it?  hmm.gif
*
buy the cheapest sharp plasmacluster air purifier to enjoy the fullest advantage of the feature.

value added on the aircond is the selling bullet (company tactic), how many percent efficiency?

1hp deluxe aircond = RM1k

deluxe air purifier = RM1k

perhaps u enjoy 5-10% plasmacluster feature from the aircond (if the room is big, how?)

Can anyone share the information about Mitsubishi Aircond and Panasonic Econavi series? Both non-Inverter.

I am planning to get a 1hp (for master bedroom) and a 2hp (for living hall to walk in area).

Did some research on both. Heard that Mitsubishi gives warranty for the compressor up to 7 years (not sure how true) and it is quieter than Panasonic. However, Panasonic is better in energy saving.

So I would really be appreciated if you guys can share you experience/ views in this matter.

Thanks in advance.
*
Both are branding aircond.

One of the brands uses Daikin inverter technology know-how.

Daikin is performance aircond.

does anyone has any experience before with brand Daikin vs Panasonic (both inverter)?
im looking for Panasonic inverter initially, but was advice my main con that Pana inverter require special hose, service & gas refill expensive..
therefore he suggested for Daikin..I dont know how the performance of this brand...
can anyone advice...urgently??? huhuhuhu..

TQ

Different class.

One is aircond specialist brand , another one is domestic product specialist brand.

If you would like to go for branding image -> Panasonic

If you would like to go for performance image -> Daikin
