Hi, I use to have a portable air-cond. Bought one a few years ago when the heat was unbearable. Not wanting to install a split unit in the rented room, I did some sourcing and purchased a Fujiaire portable air-cond at RM1350 that time (2008).

It did help a whole lot in reducing temperature, the tank that comes with the air-cond could only store water for only 4 hours (with high fan speed) and the compressor would cut off. Did some modification so that the water flows into a bigger pail, could last 9 hours this time (enough for a good night's sleep).

As it ages, the air-conds gets noisier and noisier, and in the end... kapuuut. Spent another RM500 to change the compressor (warranty is only a year).
For those who wanna find a temporary solution, can go for it, but for long term solution, it's better get a split unit, just my 2 cents.

Hi i'm planning to get Mitsubishi basic model MS-GF10VC.
Anyone currently using it?do u recommend it.
Whats the current market price now for it and there's this other model that i saw in another shop that tried to sell me the display set MSGC10 for 799?.I tried to look for it from Mitsubishi MY website but they don't have that model.Could it be an older model and how new is this MS-GF10VC though..thanks.Another model that grab my attention would be SHARP 1.0hp having plasma but it's still kinda new in the market right.Also this would be my 3rd aircorn im getting for my room from acson>daikin inverter that didn't last long and breakdown and cost rm700 to repair so i might as well get a new one.Not into inventer aymore though.How about other brands or 1.0hp model that you guys have purchased and have been having it for quite some time already.

The most basic air-cond Midea brand 1.5HP was selling at RM799 in today's Modern Furniture fair at MidValley (not including installation).

looking for two 1HP, one 1.5HP, and one 2.5HP AC
i plan to buy different brand to test them out..
any recommendation for 2.5HP? which i shall put in the living room (still wondering if i should go for inverter or non inverter)

im not sure if any non-inverter using R410A?

brand in my mind are mitsubishi, pana, and york

Able to get MS-GF10VC at RM850. Thus, demo set for RM799, is not attrative at all.

Mitsubishi Electric or Mitsubishi Heavy Industry?

MSGF at 850? may i know where. I saw at Empire for 900 + installation almost 1100+ :S
At Parade Rm799 is for the older model MSGC10.I guess thats why only display set available.

Just bought 2 units of Mitsu 1 HP AC non-inverter. Dont know the performance yet. Next week only install. Hopefully evertything ok. The salesperson said, the compressor was quiet and saving energy as well.

Will you buy if the sales said that it is quite noisy therefore not really energy saving? Keke.

Basic model..in the website http://melcosales.com.my/products/aircond/mr-slim-rac its stated as MS-GF10VC but the one i bought as stated in the receipt is MSGF10VD. It's a D not C so could it be a newer one or?

just bought an Elba portable air conditioner 1.5HP (model EPAC-A4215D) @ Harvey Norman Setia City Mall. Cost RM1700 with 1+2 years extended warranty

say no to Midea, honestly. i have a 1.0hp unit, and it's terrible, for my small master bedroom

too much.

4 years extended warranty deal is less than Rm1600

Saw that a/c are going 30% off in Best Denki Trop City Mall. Only certain old display units though including inverters RAS-X9CZ and RAS-X10CZ

Considering. And wondering those plasma technology is it necessary or not.

Why not go for Mitsubishi Heavy Industries?
