They will still join and be allowed to skip their duties, but gotta catchup once they resume.

Got a colleague that was mobile-based.

I mean will us just stay in the hostel during weekend or can go out and come back on Sunday?

Just call the general line and request to transfer your call to the HR dept if you have enquiries.

currently I'm already processing cases. Got on the job training by my senior that's all. There will be PB Talent max training program for 3 weeks which I need to attend but the date is not confirmed yet. Btw credit analyst is pretty stressful as well. Lots of compliance need to adhere, if you do careless mistakes your bonus will be affected. Also gotta be very careful in calculating the loan and interest rate. If you calculate higher it's not that bad because bank is earning more, but if calculate lower, you and the manager who recommend the case need to pay for the difference icon_idea.gif And this is only some..

I also get the offer of credit analyst. Based on your opinion, it seems to be a tough job sad.gif sad.gif
is the interest rate hard to calculated as I never do any thing related to credit analysis.

the job itself is simple actually since most of the process the system will do for you. It's just that the workload is high so you're bound to make mistakes. For interest rate calculation, you just need to key info like tenure, margin of finance, EIR etc and then the interest rate will be shown for you in the system. Just make sure all the details you key in are accurate. It's not hard. Just the volume of loan application is quite high.

By right part of the KPI is to cross sell. But our HOD don't emphasize too much on that and focus more on compliance. So I didn't do any cross selling at all.

Just curious guys, when does Public Bank group give out the annual performance bonus? I know the "contractual" two months bonus is given in December of every year, but what about the performance bonus? Similarly, when is the annual increment given out? TQ!

Hi, I'm also applying for the MT program, but I'm interested in investment banking side, i.e. making corporate deals in ECM/DCM/CF/M&A teams. I wonder if PBB MT offers such pathway? Maybe in Treasury?

BTW, to all the seniors here, why did you opt for PBB MT instead of Maybank GMAP, CIMB TCB or RHB MA roles? Dont mean to hijack the thread, but I'm curious because it seems some feel the culture and technology is a bit.. outdated.. shall I say? And the starting salary of 2800 and increment of 5% ito 2950 after a year.. in 2019 is below the industry's average salary right?

Also, it seems the only way to get into the MT is to email their HR and pray for a reply? I got a call back saying I passed the initial screening and they will process my application, but then later after 2 weeks, still no news, no email to confirm the conversation, etc?

But then PBB is the 2nd biggest bank in Malaysia lah, so results speak for themselves, I guess?

It is highly unlikely for you to be offered IB positions for their MT as the positions are reserved for experienced hires. The recruitment process will take quite some time as there are thousands of applicants applying everyday. Most people go for PBB because they have no other offer, or at least that’s the case for mine. After a few months in PBB I received an offer from CIMB and I didn’t think twice to go for it. Compared to other banks, PBB is seriously outdated, not only in terms of system n processes but also culture.

That's interesting. I think that sort of confirms my perspective. Thanks for the insight!

Hello everyone.
So I just received on-the-phone interview by PBB, is that normal these days?
Or they just 'hangat-hangat tai ayam' only?
The interviewer spoke in english but a bit fast.. Sometimes i did not get what shes sayin.. I dont think I'll get the job.

I am currently jobless.
Should I apply for other jobs or should I wait?

They also called me first before the interview so i think it’s the standard procedure.

Unless if you already been given the offer letter, you should definitely keep applying in other firms

Usually they will filter the candidate before they proceed to the next stage, which is face to face interview.

Filter through phone call? You mean that they'll check your english-speaking level for example?
