Hi. I just got the job offer as a Management Trainee for Red Carpet Banking in PJ Branch. Just wanted to know the pros and cons of this department since it seems like you had an idea about it?

Sorry. This is my first full time job as a fresh graduate so I really have no clue on how it works.

Hi guys. Ive received a call and email for iv at PB HQ next week. I have degree in accounting and have working experience.

Most of the infos here are very negative haha u guys make me scared haha.

Any tips for the iv? Technical question since i have working experience. Is it really rm2.8k but the benefits? And i assume it will one year as MA, is it can be considered as an employee? Or it depends on the vacancy.
*
Different people have different experiences. For interview, they don't really ask technical questions, its mostly general and situational questions. Benefits are good or on par with other banks. You will be under probation for 6 months before getting confirmed.

She did not mentioned what position will be provided. Instead, they keep asking me what area or field that I am more interested in and why I choose it. Almost the whole interview session we have been talking about that. I did not heard about any persuasion of sale or marketing department after I chosen the non sales line. And, today i have received a phone call from them asking for few questions based on the questionnaire that I have completed before the interview. Afterall, they say currently is in processing and will call me back. So I wonder is my chance have been increase or decrease after the phone call because I have insist in certain department during the phone call. Wondering they will filter me since I am just stubborn for that particular area of work haha. Anyhoo, goodluck for your interview too.
*
If they start calling you to ask all sorts of question, chances of them hiring you is high so don't worry about being stubborn choosing a particular area. It's better to be in a division you are interested in than being placed in some division that you aren't really interested and leaving the job after a certain period.

*
PBB conducts interview every single week If I'm not wrong. If they didn't call you within 1 week after application, then probably u were not shortlisted

I Just got interview yesterday. The interviewer did some background check and ask me why what did i do during my internship, why i did not go back to same career, why i choose PBB, what documents are needed to apply loan. Then ask me about which location that i prefer more and also explained me about the process of loan evaluation (i have mentioned that i prefer loan evaluation). The interview is about 20mins or less. The whole session i think she talked more than i did, it's not because i did not take initiative to talk, but she gave me some close-ended question which i only can reply yes or no(like background check), and she explained the whole process of loan evaluation which i can only listen and maybe ask some question (but she will further explain to me again).

Im quite worried actually, because this is so unusual to me that interviewer talked more than interviewee, is it because they are not interested to know me more?

Btw, those who got offer by PBB, when did you receive their call or email? Is it like 2-3weeks later as she told me?
*
Received their call the same day after interview, officially got offered slightly a week later....Nothing much to worry. If they are not interested in hiring you, they won't waste so much time and effort to constantly explaining to you tongue.gif

Went for the interview last Thursday, got called by HR staff two days ago asking for my previous employers contact numbers. However, later on the same day i got another call again because they wanted me to submit my final university results (just recently completed my studies, not officially graduated yet). It worries me that i will have to wait a little longer because my results will only be released in mid January (the HR lady said they would process my application after i submit in my complete results).

Just curious, do i stand a chance? considering i managed to receive update from them within a week time? Do not mean to be paranoid but i have received another job offer. Public Bank MT is still my first choice though, would need advise from seniors on my odds of being hired because i am very indecisive right now, to wait for Public bank or to accept the current one?
*
Yes, the fact that they ask for documents means they are interested. What company is it that offered u the job currently?

Yup still RM 2800 for the first year.
Depends on what you applied for the position. For trainee credit analyst would be at branches if I'm not mistaken.
*
No, being a credit analyst can be at Branches as well as Head office.

Yaa, i met a MT that based in HQ, but now the MT is learning in branch. Means the MT will be back to HQ after months of training. I rmb during my interviewed, HR told me that MT(credit analyst) will be learning in branch, wont be based in HQ, If want to be in HQ, we have to learn for a few years only qualify to be in HQ.

Just curious haha
*
Not really, I've known quite a number of MTs that start straightaway from Head Office though.
