This a brand new aircraft fresh from the factory.
Apparently the flight out of Perth(first flight to Perth), aircraft suffered a major hydraulic leak. On the subsequent flight out, the landing gear was unable to retract, hence the air turnback. (Vibration sensation felt by passenger)

This entirely NOT AAX fault. Certainly Airbus need to explain the failure of the seal that causes the hydraulic leak and probably compensate AAX for the unnecessary delays..

Surely you can't blame AAX for this!  tongue.gif

yeah cant blame airasia for this. only its 2nd flight and got problem. sure its the manufacturer problem. haha

Lol...im not pro MAS nor Anti AA but i have a little bit hatress in AA.Why? cause....(personal experience) Stimix,u are the one who bring up his thing. Dont talk so much about ageing aircraft.Fly with DC10 and u can compare that their landing is better than MAS and AA aircraft. How u maintain the aircraft is important rather than talking about new aeroplane. But anyway, malaysian have a choice. They can choose any airlines they want.I dont give a damn about which one can get a cheap ticket...

Just sat with Air Asia last 2 weeks ago to go Bali. The flights go and back are fine, not really comfortable but acceptable as the price is not really sky high compared to others flight.
The only problems I have is during when flight to Bali, my plane scheduled around 11:20am. But by the time I reach there around 9:20am, the plane has take off. Yes take off... shakehead.gif
What the.... vmad.gif
Fine, went to the counter 15/16, which I think special only to entertain customer miss their flight. As there are 2 personnel on both counter, I was asked to approach this guy call Mr. Furgeson. When asked him why is the flight take off so early, he told me the flight is 2pm not 11:20am....
Confusing enough I asked him how can the flight schedules is differ, then that fellow told me please wait as he will check it out. So he start to make phone call, type computer... phone call... type... repeat and repeat...
In between another group of people have the same problem also approach him, and same result their obtained... wait for him to check it out... as he continue to make phone call, type computer... phone call... type... repeat and repeat... doh.gif
Then another chinese lady with the same problem approach the next counter (while we all waiting for that Mr. Furgeson to make phone call, type computer... phone call... type... repeat and repeat...) the service officer help her check and confirmed the flight already took off and immediately book her at flight around 10am.
While we are still wait for the Mr. Furgeson to check it out... as he continue to make phone call, type computer... phone call... type... repeat and repeat... rclxub.gif
Finally after unsure how long, the Mr. Furgeson come to conclusion the flight has take off... ( mad.gif ) and he offer us flight at 3:00pm... shakehead.gif
So my wife ask him, why we can not board the plane around 10am, he look so shock there is another plane at that time and start to check again... then his conclusion again is the plane is full...
Yes due to this excellent service officer, I wasted 5 to 6 hours or more that day waiting at LCCT as that suppose to be my honeymoon trip.
If there are anyone out there have any possible complaint portal to Air Asia please tell me. As I want to ensure this so call Mr. Furgeson does not cause anyone else the same problem again!

AirAsia-X’s new Airbus from Perth hits a glitch

SEPANG: The anticipated tour of AirAsia-X’s new Airbus A330 ended up as a computer slide show after the plane failed to touch down on schedule here due to a delay in its departure from Perth.

AirAsia-X chief executive officer, Azran Osman-Rani told the media, guests and AirAsia staff waiting at the low-cost carrier terminal (LCCT) here yesterday that the plane was delayed in the interests of safety.

The plane was to have touched down at the LCCT at 1pm but it only arrived hours later.

“Warning lights for a certain component lit up as the plane was flying here from Perth. The pilot then decided to return to Perth.

“Back there, the onboard computer system was restarted and everything was rechecked. This took six hours, including getting a new time slot to depart,” Azran said.

In an e-mail sent to The Star, a passenger claimed the plane had encountered hydraulic problems.

Asked if he was disappointed with the performance of the first Airbus A330 that AirAsia-X had acquired, Azran said such delays did not necessarily impact the ability of the plane to fly.

“We must test everything. Even if it is going to take three, six or 24 hours, I would not risk it for the safety of the passengers,” he said.

Azran said affected passengers, both from Kuala Lumpur and Perth, were provided with the necessary assistance such as replacement flights and hotel stays.

AirAsia-X had taken delivery of its first A330 on Friday in Toulouse, France. The delivery of the second A330 is expected in mid-December.

Yesterday was AirAsia-X’s first anniversary of commercial service.

Depending on type of ticket, If I'm not mistaken, promotional tickets such as those ridicolous low pricing cannot be changed. Only those normal non promotional ticket u can change & yes price + market price + admin fee of RM75 (If I'm not mistaken)

More cautious in what manner? doh.gif
Its a spanking new plane from the factory!
Just pure bad luck I supposed.
Just like having a fault on a brand new car...

BTW, please educate yourself. This is AirAsiaX, not AirAsia.
It's two different entities. FAX is the operator of AirAsiaX. They have to pay AirAsia to use that name.

I am beginning to smell another AA bashing thread.
