This has been ALL airport security requirements worldwide.
Nothing to be pissed off. If you don't like it, do not travel by air, simple.
BTW its only for international flights..

QUOTE(joeycheong23 @ Oct 18 2008, 01:21 PM)
i hate airports because we cant bring water in.
i experience once in air asia,
i was forced to throw away my bottles of waters.
right after i passed the security,
got a kiosk like 7-11,
selling stuff like gel, water etc.
all double of the price.

i was so freaking angry.

its not like we are gona put bom into our water bottles.

Guys, please bear in mind.
These so called 'cheap', 'free' or 'special price' seats whether from MAS or AA are only applicable to a certain day, time, certain flights and above all NOT ALL seats. Actually the costs of these seats are amortised over other seats/flights/whatever.. 'someone else' is actually paying for it. You may also be paying for someone else free seats.. the airlines will always make money, somehow.. wink.gif

Ticket price bought over the counter is never the same/cheap compared if you bought through the internet. The price also fluctuates all the time. The ticket price you checked at 0900 hrs may not be the same when you check 1 hour later.
This is normal. Do not feel you're being cheated or ripped off. Thats the way things is with AA.

QUOTE(yurameshi @ Nov 1 2008, 03:10 AM)

Well said faizalmzain.
you can't simply compare oranges and apples! doh.gif

QUOTE(faizalmzain @ Nov 1 2008, 12:34 PM)
most of people miss the concept altogether, there's no way comparing mas service with aa, they are in different category at all. You can compare aa service with the like of tiger airways, jetstar but not with premium airlines. Is it fair you to compare kancil with bmw? No right?

Yes you are. most of your postings have overtones of AA bashing. I know you're with MAS, but this is not the place.

QUOTE(bonzaimy @ Nov 2 2008, 11:13 PM)
dude,im not anti aa but do u ever fly with any lcc others than AA?much more better n dont forget, the new aircraft is not all owned by them. And don say new aircraft got no problem.AA X got 5 times stuck with maintenance problem and cant be resolve at the specific time.At the end, they have to borrow with some other company to fly their passanger. And do remeber that doesnt mean new airplane, they are safe to fly.even the Emirates and SQ new A380 got a few problem.

This a brand new aircraft fresh from the factory.
Apparently the flight out of Perth(first flight to Perth), aircraft suffered a major hydraulic leak. On the subsequent flight out, the landing gear was unable to retract, hence the air turnback. (Vibration sensation felt by passenger)

This entirely NOT AAX fault. Certainly Airbus need to explain the failure of the seal that causes the hydraulic leak and probably compensate AAX for the unnecessary delays..

Surely you can't blame AAX for this! tongue.gif

QUOTE(honkit @ Nov 2 2008, 11:22 PM)
airasia x new a330 9m-xxa , first flight to perth no problem, but first flight back got problem . delay for 3 hours , fly up and got huge vibration and back to perth.

More cautious in what manner? doh.gif
Its a spanking new plane from the factory!
Just pure bad luck I supposed.
Just like having a fault on a brand new car...

BTW, please educate yourself. This is AirAsiaX, not AirAsia.
It's two different entities. FAX is the operator of AirAsiaX. They have to pay AirAsia to use that name.

I am beginning to smell another AA bashing thread.

QUOTE(princessgalaria @ Nov 4 2008, 10:24 PM)
I do hope that AA will be more cautious or so in the future flights ..

I flying to Perth next month with AA leh, such news really will scare people ..

Come on! AA instead of AAX? Its already a shortform, an acronym! And it is also two different airlines! doh.gif
A shortform to an acronym? you're funny! .. laugh.gif

I think currently AA is upgrading the equipment to cater the calls.
Their capacity before the upgrade is about 3000 calls a day. Now AA is getting in access of more than 6000 calls. That explains why 'no one' pick up the calls! tongue.gif
Hopefully after the upgrade exercises, calls will be promptly entertained! biggrin.gif

jackolantern,
we are all aware that ticket prices changes all the time with AA. weekdays and weekends tickets, holiday season affect ticket prices. The closer you are towards the travel date, the ticket price will get closer to the 'normal' ticket price. Again buying over counter and over the phone is another pricing structure...
This is not that hard to comprehend, yes? tongue.gif

Refund is a DEFINITE no-no with AA. You can however change the date/person depending what class of fare you paid, again this will involves 'some payment'..

QUOTE(zacevox @ Dec 4 2008, 11:09 AM)
can i get refund if i cancel my flight that schedule on next week?
