Hi guys,
I just bought an N82 last nite. Must say the phone looks sexy. Like it so much. Toying with it till 5am last nite. Haha.. Havin problems setting up the access points though. Im a maxis user and i only get the settings via sms. But unfortunately N82 is not in the list. Is there any kind soul here who would help a brother out by guiding me in setting it up. I sound so stupid by making this request. But i'll try not to be so dependant and learn up. Thanks guys. Regards. |

QUOTE(NewKid @ Jan 3 2008, 06:08 PM) Downside is, the phone won't charge off by connecting to USB (same with all range of Nseries), and battery will very fast kong if continously charge with travel charger. But still, if can charge via USB, then can basically use laptop to online anywhere liao with laptop on battery. When will Nokia make this a standard? |

Thanks for the fast replies. You guys really are enthusiasts. Hehe.. Actually mine is an AP set. The vendor solved the problem for me already. Kenot tahan went to his shop just now. Apparently its some settings used by other providers which maxis does not support. Dont ask me wat as im oso blur.
Just tried the Garmin Xt and it worked flawlessly. But after a couple of minutes use my phone did a soft reset. Anyone experienced that before? Not a big deal but jus want to know. Anyway this phone Roxxx man. Over and out. |

Yes, disabing the GPRS assist on GPS still works but a lot slower to get a lockup and while on a move, but you still need 3G or GPRS to download a route if you use voice navigation or when you want to calculate a route for a new source+destination when there is no "free wireless".
QUOTE(pigcat @ Jan 3 2008, 05:45 PM) Nokia has a CA-100 charger where u can plug in the USB port on PC/Laptop and the other end to the charger port of your N82. No USB to USB charger though as the phone doesnt support it. QUOTE(pigcat @ Jan 3 2008, 06:19 PM) Downside is, the phone won't charge off by connecting to USB (same with all range of Nseries), and battery will very fast kong if continously charge with travel charger. This seams to be a normal characteristic of the Nokia N82, same with mine, the D-Pad making sound, i guess we have to wait for the latest N82 Black and hopefully Nokia rectify that problem But still, if can charge via USB, then can basically use laptop to online anywhere liao with laptop on battery. When will Nokia make this a standard? QUOTE(Agent001 @ Jan 3 2008, 09:45 PM) |
