You have to install the Pen+C emulator for the N82.

Get it here.

It's unsigned, so you need to sign it in order to be able to install it.  But I guess you already know that, since you've already installed the Nokmote Beta on your phone  nod.gif  To use it, launch Nokmote first, then go into your Apps folder, then launch the Pen+C emulator, and Nokmote will activate.

yeah, even though i eventually found out about it myself but thanks alot of the info still biggrin.gif yea, it was still too sensitive i hope the creator would implement the sensitivity option in the next release. In the end i had my menu scrolled over and over again for god knows how many times and entered into various application unintentionally. Haha! Playing quake was really tough and tiring due to its high sensitivity but once it's configured properly im sure it'll be fun!

Just as a side note, i also used the very same creator's RotateMe v2 which was originally intended for N95. IMO it worked so much better and more responsive than the built in automatic rotation feature which is sometimes too dumb to detect that i have already rotated the phone. tongue.gif

anyway for N82 user out there, u can try the NokMote but you will need the Pen+C button emulator to activate the function as posted by wr6969 above. I have uploaded it into another server.

Oh yes, you will need to sign both the file smile.gif

P/S - Rapidshare and Megaupload sucks!

I don't want to rain on your parade, gzero, but samir, the author, specifically requested that this version not be released to the public. It was only distributed to people who donated to him. He's in the process of requesting for formal certification from symbiansigned.com so that he can release a public version.

I understand what are you saying here, but the software was meant to be a freeware in the future anyway isnt it? It's just a matter of time before it was released. Actually i have considered about this earlier, if it was a cr@.ck software, i wouldn't have posted it so openly. Anyway, i am sure you did not get it through donation, did you? tongue.gif Anyway, due to the respect to the author, i shall remove the link now smile.gif

Edit : Oi! Remove the link in your quote as well tongue.gif

Hahaha! No I did not, but I will donate when the version becomes usable tongue.gif If people are so hard up for it, then they can find it themselves, right? No need for us to further disrespect the author by releasing something publicly when he requested not to do it, yet.

Eh, no need to edit my quote ler...they don't lead anywhere. Try it. Ooooh, hang on, I hope it doesn't lead to ex-Minister Chua's video tongue.gif

I played around with NavFone Pro just now and it's quite cute, although its maps are not as detailed as malsingmaps.

Can anyone here tell me more about the A-GPS work? Will it keep on using our GSM or 3G to send out cordination and apply charges into our phone bill?
I came to know from a friend of mine that the A-GPS will use our connectivity (such as 3G, 3.5G, GPRS) to check our cordination. So, need clarification on this.
Thank you.

I have tried it. Mapking software is better than garmin but map wise malsing is better and malsing don't support mapking for symbian yet. So too bad for mapking
*
Hi dzi921,

I've tried MapKing from my friend's PDA GPS before, I'm wondering, how do I point a location on screen to be the destination as 82 does not have touchscreen? I like MapKing due to the detailed building labeling (I know it won't make MUCH of a difference while driving due to the small screen, but still biggrin.gif)

I'm torn between mapking and malsing.

Thakn you for the replied. ANyway, is this mean , everytime when it re-located or user move away from the point it started, then it will send a 8KB data to the server and we will be charge for it? This mean, if we turn it on for locating a 10KM distance from the start point, we will be charge, for examaple, A-GPS will send a signal out at every 100m, means that will be 100 times signal send out? If every signal send is 8KB, that means it will be 8MB data sent? blink.gif wow...that is alot of charges apply to our phone bill then.. please do correct me if I m wrong?

Thank you.

nope...accordin to my understanding, AGPS only send approximately 8kb in da initial locking so tt da time required to lock ur position could be reduced n locked fast...later that, as long as u r connected or locked, it wouldn't send any data.....

correct it if i'm wrong too

thanks
