Nokia N82, the latest multimedia computer optimized for photography, navigation and internet connectivity. With the tools to discover the places and moments worth capturing, and the capabilities to capture and share them instantaneously, the Nokia N82 offers photography enthusiasts an enhanced camera experience.

Discover, capture and share
The Nokia N82 enables you to explore your surroundings and find your way with navigation and routing; document your adventures with the high quality imaging capabilities; and instantly share your experiences with one click upload to the web.

Featuring A-GPS, 5 megapixel camera, Xenon flash, Carl Zeiss optics and internet connectivity, the Nokia N82 also incorporates all the multimedia computer features common to Nokia Nseries. like its predecessor the Nokia N95, the Nokia N82 is the latest epitome of a truly converged device that is not one thing but is many.

Discover the world
The powerful A-GPS and preinstalled* Nokia Maps help you explore and locate new places, whether in another country or just around the corner. All Nokia N82 standard sales packages come with a free voice guided navigation trial*, and you can purchase additional features, such as city guides and longer subscription to the navigation.

With access to more than 15 million points of interest, you can locate and navigate to the most interesting sights, bars or restaurants wherever you are. You can also send map excerpts and routes to friends by MMS or save map screen shots to the gallery.

Capture your experiences
With a 5 megapixel camera, powerful Xenon flash and Carl Zeiss optics, the Nokia N82 delivers remarkably vivid photographs, even in low-light conditions. Fast camera activation, autofocus with a dedicated autofocus assist lamp, fast reloading between shots and DVD-like quality video capture make it a truly convenient and credible tool for capturing and telling your life stories.

Thanks to the 2GB microSD card in the standard Nokia N82 sales package*, you can store up to 900 high-resolution photos or up to 84 minutes of high quality video on the device.

"The Nokia N82 gives the best ever camera and navigation experience in one stylish premium device. Just imagine what kind of possibilities this will open up and how much richer your every day life experiences can be! The sophisticated design and glossy looks appeal to men and women who are conscious of their style and want to impress with the latest in technology," Satu Ehrnrooth continues.

Share your stories
With high speed Wi-Fi connectivity and one-click upload to communities, the Nokia N82 makes sharing your experiences and discoveries easy. When viewing a picture or video, simply one press of a button starts uploading it while you carry on using the device for other purposes.

Or you can impress your friends with multimedia slideshows - complete with music and effects - on the high resolution display or on a compatible TV.

The Nokia N82 comes with the new content driven 3D multimedia menu and includes a convenient orientation sensor that rotates the user interface automatically between horizontal and portrait mode. For quick and easy access to entertainment content, the Nokia N82 also supports the Ovi family of Nokia internet services, including Nokia Music Store, N-Gage games** and Nokia Maps.

The Nokia N82 is available now in key markets with an estimated, pre-tax, unsubsidized sales price of approximately 450, announced by Nokia on 14th November 2007.

Added on December 26, 2007, 5:12 pmAre we missing something? What about Anti-virus/Worms/Trojans/Spyware/Malware software for N82? In my previous 6110 Navi,I had FSecure installed for free. Forgot how I obtained this free Anti-Virus software. Maybe from the Nokia Download site. This has been nagging me if N82 is used to surf the Net as most of us are wont to do. Any comment? huh.gif

i think both is usable, just depends on own preferences.

1 is Nseries PC Suite, while another is the generic one for all Nokia phones.

well, if you're using N series phone, why not use the Nseries PC Suite, it looks and feels more suitable, in black color some more.. smile.gif i'm using it btw..

You can download the PC Suite for N82 here..........

QUOTE(Agent001 @ Jan 7 2008, 03:55 PM)
anybody can recommend a nice screen protector for N82?  I want one that covers the front camera as well, like the one that came default when we first buy the phone.

I heard about Martin Fields, but it is so expensive, any other alternatives??  HP shops also don't even stock screen protectors for the N82 yet!!!
*
After buying Martin Fields from Dooml in SIngapore, I went to my regular phone shop in SS2 to request them to fix in on my N82. Then only they informed me that later they'll be selling cheaper and better quality screen protector than Martin Fields. As to the "better quality than Martin Fields" this is yet to prove. Anyway, when they are available, will post them here.

The brand name of the SP is Martin Fields Overlay Plus. The company selling this SP is www.doml.com.sg. It is a Japanese product. For more info. on this product, go to www.overlayplus.com. I got the name of the S'pore Seller from Eric Chan, another proud owner of N82. Eric too has been very helpful.

Hi thanks for the info pigcat. That means the dynamic memore is for storage purpose and it is not the RAM size ya. I can't find the specification regading the RAM size. Any way that I check the RAM size without installing any 3rd party application?

Thanks for feedback  biggrin.gif  Just a few more doubts

related to :-
1.  It looks like when I got the mem card, someone might have removed the applications, so far its only Panoman is missing.
Btw, when you guys got your phone does it comes with some songs with no activation Keys? I notice a few songs with no activation keys activated, loaded in like Jacky Cheong - Hau Jiu Bu Jian.dcf and Eason Chen - Tao Tai.dcf song. And to activate it, need to pay RM5 via www.umobile.com.my. Just curious if you too have the same song loaded

2. Again I am not sure if someone actually openned it. Its a AP set though... when I got that I tot the dust was sticked onto the original screen proctector that comes with the phone, but after removing the screen protector the dust seems to be inside the case. Hmm... I guess I need to bring it back to the Seller. Any idea if we can remove the case ourself?
*
Regarding the Item #1, yea mine, an AP set also, also comes preloaded with a few Mandarin songs that require activation keys. Never bothered to activate them coz' I'm not much into Mandarin songs. This brings me to ask, can these preloaded songs be deleted from the phone? If can, how? I wld like to delete some of them to free up the phone memory!

Hi niel, this ori in-car phone holder, is it the same as the Nokia Navigator 6110 car cradle? If it is, it's damn sexy looking and I might to get one. drool.gif

QUOTE(icecarpediem @ Feb 20 2008, 05:13 PM)
I can confirm now that it was my handphone pouch which was making my battery go down so fast.

I used GPS for a solid 2 hours (1/2 hour, 1/2 hour, 45 min, 15 min sessions). Made about 1 hour of calls, took some photos with and without flash (8 shots total), SMS abit (I think 15 smses?), listen to some mp3s and the battery was at 2 bars from kaput at 11PM. To drain it I just kept playing MP3 then just keep taking photos with flash (don't remember how many, take delete take delete). As previously, I'm on GSM only network mode and bluetooth constantly on.

So I can safely say, a handphone pouch with magnetic cover will cause issues. How so, when you walk around the phone moves in the pouch and the magnet activate and deactivates the camera (in very quick sessions) and that causes the battery to be drained real fast.

I am currently using a pouch which is velcro type and my battery is going strong.
*
Do you mind sharing your velcro type pouch? Any pic? Where did you buy this pouch?
Thx.

I got it from the Curve from Nokia shop. Kinda costly though... RM60.

However, it is pretty solid in built. There is another one which is grey in colour and doesn't use velcro, but just a flip lock. I didn't get that one... no confidence in the locking mechanism  sweat.gif

Thx for the pics. Now got a clear idea of how it looks! Agreed a bit pricey.
