Should it be something like the below?

Classic Card  - 20% discount at McD, 10% discount for Sunway Lagoon

Gold Card - 20% discount at Tony Romas, 10% discount for Bukit Tinggi, 20% discount at McD, 10% discount for Sunway Lagoon

Platinum Card - 20% discount at Lafite (Shangri-La), 10% discount for 18-hole game in Hyatt, 20% discount at Tony Romas, 10% discount for Bukit Tinggi, 20% discount at McD, 10% discount for Sunway Lagoon

** Note - these are just examples, not real promo **

It may be true for Classic and Gold card but not with Platinum. More often than not, Platinum cards normally comes with its own privileges that is not owned by either Classic and Gold suited with the "Platinum Lifestyle"

Your thinking is not correct.....

Annual income for Gold card : RM48,000 per annum
Annual income for Platinum card : RM100,000 per annum

Not many people have RM100k per annum...else Platinum card won't be EXCLUSIVE lah.

now all my friends said no need rm4k a month also can get gold card..

my father generation, got credit card means got good income
our generation, many also got gold card but platinum baru mean good income
then future, all use platinum, got higher class card ? diamond card tongue.gif

Why they lower the entry level for Gold card is to ensure they have more customers owe them money smile.gif

It's a marketing gimmick
Mr. A's income is RM40K/PA

Bank A's minimum income for Gold is RM36K/PA and Bank B's minimum income for Gold is RM48K/PA.

If Mr. A's intention is purely just to have a Gold card to signify his status, then naturally he'll choose Bank A's Gold Card.

In this case, Bank A 1 - Bank B 0

3 years.

QUOTE
Your points last 3 years!
Perhaps best of all, you can accumulate your Reward Points for up to 3 years! Assuming you renew your account every 1st June, here's an example of how long your Reward Points will last.

Reward points earned in the period of
1 Jan 2005 - 31 Dec 2005 - Expiry Date: 31 Dec 2007*
1 Jan 2006 - 31 Dec 2006 - Expiry Date: 31 Dec 2008*
1 Jan 2007 - 31 Dec 2007 - Expiry Date: 31 Dec 2009*

And so on...

*Based on card opened month

I just received citibank cash back card yesterday and i still have some question regarding the usage of the card...

anyone know what is the meaning of the :

- if you have carry forward balance equal to 0 then u only can get 0.4% cash back??
- but if u have carry forward balance to 2001-5000 then u wil get 1.5% cash back
- or else if u have carry forward balance to >5000 then u wil get 2% cash back

Base on this calculation, what i know is citibank encourage us to payback to them slowly??

Maybe they only upgrade those who owe them money tongue.gif

As they earn nothing if you make payment on time so no point upgrade. Just what I think...
