i thinks there no credit card for US currency. but if u spend in oversea, the transaction will auto convert into RM.

my friend who went to US, requested his Citibank clear card with RM5K limits converted into USD 5,000 limits before go to US for 3 weeks. is it this u wan to looks for?

I think most bank will auto convert into RM. But regarding the limit convert, not sure it can be done anymore

i think UOB platinum card, is not those platinum card we really think. Last time I heard that it offer one card, called platinum....not quite remember.

most bank classic card is RM18k per annum. Gold card is quite subjective. Alliance bank require 48k per annum. If you wanna apply, can always pm me. smile.gif

UOB ONE is not platinum card. Just one type of credit card. If you did notice, there's one UOB Platinum card, which is the real platinum card. I don't think with RM5k/month, you can apply platinum card. Usually require about 10k/month, unless you put FD a lot. Then maybe can.

If you have annual income more than 100K, could be. Or if you put FD a lot in their bank. Not sure about the credit limit for platinum. But usually gold is around 10K, unless you request to be reduce or upgrade.

Why do you need so many gold cards? But true, if your bf have gold card, can apply for another bank gold card. I have done this for few people. smile.gif

Every card need to pay. For public bank, just need to use certain amount then can waive the annual fees, if that is what you mean

I still dunno why people like plat card when they cannot afford to spend so much. I rather stick to gold card at the moment

I'm not credit card sales exec. But I help to do credit card sales. From what I know, usually based on your salary x 3. Or they will just follow your previous card. Unless you have loan from the bank, they will direct offer you the appropriate card. This info I got from those working in banks.

About alliance bank card, I also do the card for this bank. The requirement is a bit strict for gold onwards. Classic is standard for most banks. But this bank offer cash back and as well as points (lifetime) unlike most cards that give either points or cash back. And you need to swipe 12x in order to waive or spend 5k and above. The UOB plat is UOB one platinum, which is same standard wif our classic card. It's easy to get. Having plat card does not necessary show status. If your gold card requirements are high, it will show your status as well. Some more, usually real platinum cards meaning the spending must be very high, even their privileges also push ppl to spend.

The real platinum from UOB is not UOB one platinum. the one that most people can get is UOB one platinum. Not all gold card requirements are low. Eg. HSBC, Alliance

You are right. It's just a name. A lot of ppl thinking it's very easy to get UOB platinum, but little do they know it's only UOB one platinum. Just a name, doesn't show status at all.

RHB bank is higher than Alliance bank.. it is RM150k!!!!!!!!!!

but I think not many ppl use alliance bank card because I see their website also no many benefits.

Should be because the payment is not that easy since there's very few Alliance bank kiosk. It is one of the very few which offer cash back and lifetime bonus points.

I thought RHB Bank gold card requirement same as Alliance which is 48K, not?

I'm actually wondering, if citibank gold upgrade your limit to 20K, u can use the 20K limit? Moreover, you have more than 1 cards. Why you prefer high credit limit? I still prefer to downgrade my gold card credit limit.

Dun call them. They want you to apply, they will say anything that you want to hear. My fren also keep insist saying is a plat card, but I know he kena con. One Platinum is only their marketing strategy.
