Provided that your gold card age is more than a year and it's a principal card.

AFAIK, overdue credit card balances are compounded daily....ie charged daily so u take 18% divided by 365 = 0.0493%

so this 0.0493% will be taken into account when u calculate ur cc balance at the end of the day

do correct me if i'm wrong

Yes. The financial charge is compounded in daily basis even though they advertise the rate as p.a. (in yearly rate) or p.m (in monthly rate).

They'll start to charge you after the last date to make your payment in addition to the late payment fee unless you have made a minimum payment.

No interest or financial charge should be charge between statement date and due date since that duration is called interest-free window time for you clear the oustading. If you count properly, it's actually 20 days.

No interest or financial charge.

Regarding change of statement date or due date, you have to give a call to the CS.

If u got lotsa credit card in hand, obvioulsy it will be easy for u to apply any bank u want, but if u r new, they will consider before giving u credit card, but normally if with annual fees is not worth it, but as i know, for UOB, u just need to do 6 transaction within 1 year, then ur annual fees will be waived... and UOB online not bad, can pay streamyx and maxis bill =) with rebate summore
*
UOB Online can pay streamxy and maxis bill? how come? i can not find the way to pay it.
it need saving account to pay the bills online. if only got CC, then can not pay any bills.

i guess u got the UOB saving account and credit card together right?

UOB Online is linked to their PayOnline system. It's the system where you are able to pay your bills.

What's the rush for you to get a Platinum ? After you get it, you'll find that it's no different from a normal card with the exception of the benefits. You'll enjoy the benefits if you live that kind of lifestyle. Plus, I've got friends who has been holding Gold cards all their life with no upgrade to Platinum and they are happy with it.

Remember the Buy 1 Get 1 ticket ? - It's applicable only to Business Class tickets and the price is 3x-5x the price of a standard ticket.

Let me put it this way, people who can't get it wants it, people who can have it thinks there's no difference. Furthermore, the friend has one, peer pressure.

Your thinking is not correct.....

Annual income for Gold card : RM48,000 per annum
Annual income for Platinum card : RM100,000 per annum

Not many people have RM100k per annum...else Platinum card won't be EXCLUSIVE lah.

Gold is too common these days. I have colleagues earning around RM2,500 having gold.

At this moment, Platinum's requirement is higher and banks have not simply auto upgrade people with it yet, which makes it exclusive

Some banks do auto upgrade Gold to Platinum, provided the Gold's credit limit reaches RM30k and above (got this info from credit card salesperson)

To have something (platinum) that not everyone has is of course better mar. To be frank, it sure feels good a bit when you swipe and flash it among your relatives/friends. tongue.gif It also can be served as a milestone to where you are financially (income making wise cause you need at least RM80k and above to get it the usual way)

But if you talk about benefits, frankly Platinum not much diff la

To me, the promos for Platinum is suited for Platinum users. So as for other cards.

For example,
Platinum Card - 20% discount at Lafite (Shangri-La), 10% discount for 18-hole game in Hyatt
Gold Card - 20% discount at Tony Romas, 10% discount for Bukit Tinggi
Classic Card - 20% discount at McD, 10% discount for Sunway Lagoon
** Note - these are just examples, not real promo **

So what's the use of a person who's earning RM30K/PA having benefits of Platinum Card? Might as well get Gold or Classic.
