When you said the technician laptop can get full speed, how many run did he tried? Is it consistently getting full speed or how?

Can you try the following:
DLink as bridge. Asus as router.
Disconnect all wired devices.
Disconnect all wifi devices.
Confirm in your Asus UI only your iphone 16 is connected.
Run the speedtest.

Elite Team came for on site troubleshooting with the following results:

A. Asus gt-ax11000 as router and dlink as modem, only technician windows laptop can get full 500mbps download speed. All my devices like Apple TV wired to Asus router, iPhone 16 pm, and even technician hand held device wired to my Asus router, all can get max around 150mbps upload speed.

B. Reset dlink and install 3.0.6 latest firmware, setup as bridge mode, same result with the above.

C. Reset dlink and setup as combo, Asus gt-ax11000 setup as ap mode, all devices can get full upload speed.

D. Reset dlink and setup as modem, use another Asus router of mine which is xt8 setup as router, same result with A above.

E. Use skyworth setup as modem, and use either 1 of the Asus router, same result with A.

Conclusion is suspecting Asus router firmware bug?? Need to check with Asus.

So stress doing all these simulations  doh.gif

Btw, can some one shared if you are on 1gbps plan and Telekom device setup as bridge and running own router, please let me know what Telekom device brand, and router model assuming your up speed is 500mbps. If possible pm me your Unifi id so I can get elite team to check and verify.  Thank you so much.

Did you enable Guest WIFI or QOS? Mine, once GUEST WIFI 1 is enable, the upload speed reduces by half and lesser. The same when I enable QOS.

However, enabling Guest WIFI 2 has no such issue. I have feedback to ASUS, the representative in the ASUS router thread. Until today, the issue has never been resolved.

I've not tried LAN though since I have no device that connects to LAN.

Yes his laptop quite consistently almost 90% of the time full up speed.

Will report to Asus thread and see what is the feedback. Lazy to proceed with further check already by disconnecting all devices.

I removed them twice. Once when renovating my front yard. Another time when doing some small renovation in my living room.
They are just quick disconnect cable. At least that's how mine is.
I keep them in zip lock bag and seal them tight with rubber band while disconnected.
Use alcohol swab to clean both side before reconnecting.
*
You remove the whole thing from outside to your house? I'm talking about removing the whole TM cable, not just the part that connect to modem and fibre wall socket. Also the old copper cable used for landline.
I want to rewire the fibre after reno, to place my modem at certain place.

On 1gbps pro upgrade. TM just replace onu from old fibrehome to zte. Router just use old dlink 882. Upload can get 551 mbps.

Now Skyworth as bridge and Asus AX6000 no issue speed can get upto 800mbps to 980mbps depends on my coverage

Flow Control is a LAN problem. Among all the stupid invention in the world of networking, Flow Control ranks very high in my list.
You connect one slow device in your network that randomly sends out a pause frame, your switch / router propagate it, then every device that does pause frame slows to a halt.

That's the first thing I kill for all deployment. You can test it by disconnecting every single device and test using WiFi or packet capture and look for the dreaded pause frame.

Since one technician laptop have no problem, then viola, very high chance that laptop has pause frame killed.
Either the driver for some random NIC has it disabled by default, or someone disabled it but forget about it.

Then the D-Link... Obviously it doesn't propagate pause frame.
Mikrotik also won't propagate pause frame by default.

Interesting. I try to check what are the recent devices that added to my network and try to disconnect one by one. Btw pause frame can affect only upload instead of download also? Mine download 940mbps no issue. And flow control is supposed to be enabled or disabled?

Just accepted the offer from TM for SWU, 500Mbps to 1Gbps (RM159). Free 6 months bill. Speed will revert back to 500Mbps after 2 years.

For the new 1Gbps plan, can I use my existing router (Asus RT-AX86U). I've been using this router for the past 4 years without any problem. Current setup is zte onu connected to asus router.

The telemarketer person said that technician will come to my house to change the router sad.gif

If I'm not mistaken, the new setup will be onu+router in one box, isn't it?
