For the past few days, my 1gbps package upload speed is only around 300mbps on wired connection. Used to be getting around 500mbps upload speed. Tm reset port when I called to log a case but still the same. Any idea what went wrong?

Network congestion, always happens during peak times (8pm - 11pm) since TM has already oversell their bandwidth.

I have submitted several reports to the TM regarding this issue, but all they do is close the reports without resolving anything.

Technician will be coming today to check. I will proceed with SKMM case opening if they cannot resolve it.

BTW, anyone know where can get ASUS ROG RAPTURE GT-BE98 at a good deal? So far cheapest is Shopee for around RM3200++

Technician came and configure his Telekom combo router and modem , at first few round still not able to get the full upload speed. Then he was asked to hard reset his combo device and reconfig, and test again also not getting full upload speed. Only a round 280mbps is the max can get. Then he called again to Telekom and they did a hard reset on Telekom end and eventually the upload speed is 420mbps which is ok. But when plug back into my Asus gt-ax11000 the upload speed was only 200mbps.

Based on technician, if using Telekom supplied combo device, Telekom can "tag" the device at their end so ensure speed is ok. I don’t understand what this means. In directly, are we not supposed to use our own router in order to get the full upload speed? Btw, my down load speed is 940mbps and it is fine.

Just to rule out my router issue which had been working fine all the while, I will hard reset my router and try first.

It was working all the while with my 1gbps plan. So how do you resolve the issue? I am not gonna use the crappy combo device.

same here,

already called tm to fix it, but they say using dlink black as bridge mode is outside they jobscope, since using own router  doh.gif

i tell them using old onu is ok through (test it infront of them) since using old onu is same as using brigde mode on new dlink

after that they say they gonna ask they supervisor first and come back to me later, that is 1 week ago, and support ticket already closed, gonna open new support ticket next week  icon_rolleyes.gif
*
So your case could be due to the black dlink in bridge mode? Mine also using same black dlink as bridge. I called 100 again and they said will escalate to technical team to call me in 24 hours time. Do keep me posted what’s your result when you open the case again. Btw, you can pm me where can share case number. Use it to tell tm that’s this issue is common and should fix it.

What's your black dlink firmware version? Tried upgrading to v2.0.6?
Speed drop on bridge mode is a known firmware bug.
*
Oh is it? Mine is v2.0.3. Will take note and inform Telekom technical when they get back to me. Thanks.

Me going through so many call backs and yet no one can resolve. Only thing can do is send Technician again to my place tomorrow to check again. Well I am not surprised, TM Unifi support really cannot diharapkan, unless you managed to talk to someone at the back end team that can really do the hard core troubleshooting.

But your upload speed is ok. Only download speed slow. Mine is download speed 950mbps but upload is only 150mbps.

Btw I noticed the mtu is 1480. Mine is 1492. Any idea what should be the correct values. Thanks.

yup2, that is my current issue, using old onu everything ok, use dlink black the result as you see  sweat.gif

mikrotik default to 1480 even you set it at 1492, highest i can set is 1488

Ok case update for mine….

Technician configured his own black dlink as combo, my upload speed can get 500mbps.

But, when his own black dlink configured as bridge mode, upload speed is 170mbps only.

I can conclude that it’s the black dlink when being configured as bridge mode will result poor upload speed. Though this was working since end of last year when I first got my black dlink setup as bridge mode, recently Telekom must have tweak something at their end resulting to this suddenly not working.

I am gonna call Telekom technical support and get them to fix it. At the mean time, any users out there with black dlink set as Bridge mode and on 1gbps package managed to get 500mbps upload ? I was told recently Telekom is giving Skyworth for 1gbps or 2gbps installation.

U can buy own router later if can get upload 500Mbps using stock/old router. Told u already about T-CONT.
*
Told Telekom also about it. But that they are not responding on that. The case keeps escalate to technician to go on site instead of checking at their back end.

try asking them to escalated the ticket to higher level,

i think that is most suitable next step since onsite cannot resolve the issue

also, mention the possible T-CONT issue as hsbb say
*
This is what I had been doing esclate to higher level. But somehow escalating will result in technician visit where when check with Technician he also blur, he just bring his modem to my house and test.

The issue now is it’s so difficult to reach the network team hiding at the back end, seems like I have to make a lot of noise in order to reach them.

The upstream speed not as suscribed although config correctly by GEM/OMCC. For this case need to manually config in the OLT itself. Below is the flow how GPON upstream normally work.

ONU Activation:
When an ONU is activated on a GPON network, the OLT sends PLOAM messages to the ONU to establish communication and discover the available T-CONTs.

Bandwidth Allocation:
Using PLOAM messages, the OLT assigns specific Alloc-IDs to different T-CONTs within the ONU, thereby defining which T-CONT will be used to carry specific user traffic.

Traffic Management:
Once the Alloc-IDs are assigned, the ONU sends upstream traffic based on the allocated bandwidth for each T-CONT, ensuring efficient utilization of the shared fiber.
*
Just to understand more, does this mean t-cont is Devicd specific where in my case will be my ONU t-cont must be made known to Telekom end in order for me to get my 500mbps full up speed?

What the heck did tm do to screw things up as this was working perfectly all the while.
