RM0 Unifi: As part of your upgrade, we're sending you a FREE Unifi TV Box for Unifi TV ID xxxx@iptv.


I didn't apply for any upgrade. anybody knows what's going on? I do receive a couple of unknown calls a few days ago which I didnt pick up.

for the record, i'm still on the old subscription, with the old hypptv box.

Do check with their CS on this matter

They going phase out vlan600 iptv, in router port 4 is dedicated 8mbps/10mbps speed reserved for iptv, which going to phase out soon according to some forumer here.

So old / existing customer still using old tvbox they'll send you new tvbox foc.

Remember update your account information in your Unifi portal to receive tac for new login iptv information.

What I know, TM currently having trial run on 10G technology, when I ask further questions either 10GE or XGS (8.5G) they didn't tell

but, they do test 10G PON now,
Kesas Corridor to up north already 10G PON Card, they said, if anyone stay on KESAS, have OTDR, please verify? 1570nm exist?

I got the same SMS today. My package was since Gobind free upgrade to 500mbps but few months back it was changed to Pro upgrade.

you want latest firmware then need ASK TM technical only
due that router free by TM UNIFI so try ask tm technical

no offical firmware because wont work

i had unifi install tm technical want install fiber living room i already tell don't place install living room
i follow technical to go computer placement i showed
tm technical say ok they installed FIBER to computer table placement
so now i enjoy LAN Cable PC

I would say depends on individual. Like mine, is also at living room. If needed to do speedtest, then only just plug in the rj45 and perform speedtest

Wow, such audacity to say living room is a bad location. It is up to individual usage OK? Mine is also in the living hall as I spend more time in my living hall, though I also have a room for workstation. Also, I don't like LAN cable to make everything look messy and just doesn't fit my house aesthetic and design.

And sometime extension request got extra charges.

I requested to terminate the 39 postpaid plan after 1 month applying SWU. Today TM called and give me free 6 month postpaid bill till next year March, then it will auto terminate. Kinda generous

I opt not to apply at TM point because most ask us to take the mobile plan that we don't need. Request terminate online is much easier. Only downside is waiting for call,

TM roll out 2Gbps plan is something, despite it use almost full GPON link, but this stepping stone for greater speed and cheaper internet plan.

with CTC Standard Extension on top of ITU-T one, this allow ISP give 2G service despite ME 5 & 6 still say GbE, kind a hack, but other country do the same

2.5GbE PHY chipset still expensive back then, Realtek and MaxLiner making it cheaper, thus 1+1 no longer exist

the 1+1 only way to offer, not just Malaysia, many countries do the same, even ISP in Japan.

l hope 10G plan will exist soon, ISP just need replace the PON Card and we have cheaper internet

so, anyone has expired contract, come get SWU 5.0 or latest, let ISP over-saturated the GPON then ISP can ask investor for infra upgrade funds
