i can get RM159 1GBPS but after 2 years back 500Mbps lol
explain you SWU 4.0 300Mbps you still under contract 1.5years you cannot take SWU 5.0 1GBPS RM159 meain can upgrade 1GBPS RM249 lol
*
Then it is your poor investment of choice. If you are able to get RM159.00 for 1Gbps, you are always welcome to upgrade after two years for a better package with better offering from TM. That doesn't mean you need to stick with 500Mbps @ 159.00/month after 2 years.

I opt for Unifi Rahmah for RM69.00/month due to cheaper pricing for two years, and I am someone who used 800Mbps and was entitiled for 1Gbps free upgrade, yet I choose to downgrade to save some bucks. At the same time, I was paying RM285.95/month that time. Now since my contract with unifi going to over, I opt to go for Maxis, 100Mbps + Public IP (RM10/month) subscription. I am paying more of what I supposed to receive for RM90/month (500Mbps), but I choose to leave unifi for maxis. I plan to utilise telco's offering to the fullest in the future. A friend of mine reported his speed was upgraded for free from 300Mbps to 500Mbps, he is using Maxis Fibre anyway.

Another reason I am going with Maxis due to freedom of hardware choice, aka ability to use custom router without needing to stuck with ONR solution like TM offers. Maxis is still using standalone config for their installation.

yes i know but wont work offer 1GBPS price
explain 1GBPS PRICE RM249 so
if i take SWU 5.0 RM90 500Mbps still under contract if SWU 6.0 1GBPS RM1XX can't take due tm wont give offer 1GBPS RM1XX that mean can upgrade 1GBPS price will be RM249 itu problem lah
you want SWU 5.0 RM90 you take
please don't force me to do RM90 500Mbps

i hope Understand

Actually, nobody here will force you to take SWU5.0

But you can configure ONR as bridge mode only and use your preferred router. My installer even offered ONU, yes... for sure he want to sell the 2 units if I take the ONU.

Technically I wont risk myself using TM's ONR via bridge mode. I prefer to use a standalone devices like the good old days. My current usage requires cheapest fiber internet with public IP (subscription is fine with me).

I understand internet subscription is a commitment for 24 months or 36 months these days to cater our daily usage. My only friendly advice is, you can always upgrade (while in contract), and downgrade when the contract is over. As a customer, everyone has choice to hop into better service provider to utilize the given pricings and benefits. So, if you refuse to maintain 500Mbps with lower price, it is your choice, and no one will be forcing you. I understand your concern on privatized IP like how 300Mbps users, and I can see you are trying to replicate the event for 500Mbps plan as well. So far, no one reported that 500Mbps is officially cgnat'd. So, you dont really need to worry.

Is that your assumption or there is ongoing issues?

My connection did dropped for 20 minutes (around 3am) after running for a month since September. I checked the log when I noticed IP address changed. Otherwise it's pretty okay so far. I know who to contact if I need onu/ont due to stability. biggrin.gif

Something is wrong with Unifi since last night, certain websites load very slow or simply refuse to load. While using 5G data is perfectly fine.

The Huawei is a router, not an ONR. So, it is way better or has atleast decent performance than the routing function present in Skyworth.

Same here, i guess its a regional issue? Where are you located at?

Hopefully its not due to the weather and just maintenance.
