Went to TM Point this afternoon to try take SWU 100mbps rm79, but the cs keep insisting that i take 1 postpaid line rm39/mth for 3 months which i rejected.
Does the termination method works for this? I don't want to subscribe anymore phone lines.

finally help my friend done signing swu 5.0, tm call me (my friend work in oversea so i put my number), ask reason and give promo after that find out his account still under contract (swu 3.0) the customer service person not sure can proceed or not, so she go ask her "boss" after 5mins she call back and say can proceed. for those who still under contract please do not hesitate to try.

yes, termination method should work fine to avoid taking any postpaid line

Within 24 hours after the SWU 5.0 activated.

It is an SMS. Just telling you to download the Disney+ app or go to their website, then login using your phone number that you registered with Unifi. This is to get the login OTP. After that, you can create your Disney+ account using your email. You can select Darth Vader as your avatar too.

you can't change DNS on D-Link DIR-X1860Z router due still force TM DNS only

i know any tm unifi router explain dlink and fiberhome and skyworth
if change google DNS and test still TM DNS
due TM UNIFI ROUTER restrictions DNS

i had used tm unifi router fiberhome i did try set GOOGLE DNS then i test still force TM DNS

can't do anything

so i currently use my own router can change GOOGLE DNS works fine

Is the Fiberhome onu hg6142a really garbage? Just switched to SWU 5.0 and keeps on disconnecting or I just got a faulty unit?

Switched back to my old trusty Huawei echolife hg8240h5 and has been stable since.

My Fiberhome isn’t combo 2-in-1 with router. It’s a single unit GPON ONU

So they just changed the old ODU with Fibrehome combo one, what else do i have need to know about this other than it should be easy to get in Mesh mode if got another one..

yes termination can work, but waiting for the call is a pain.(for me)
the call usually comes 2–3 weeks after submitting the termination request, though some lucky forumers got it within 1-3 days.

from what i’ve read in this thread, the mobile line isn’t tied to any contract. (3 months is BS)
once your account plan name changes, you can terminate the postpaid line, that usually happens about a week after you sign up.

since you are not aiming for RM90 500mbps, for me i think getting the postpaid and terminate 1 week later is easier as i'm impatient and also dont wanna risk missing the call from Unifi termination crew

my Huawei ONU died just 1 day before my scheduled SWU 5.0 upgrade, and they gave me a secondhand/refurbished Fiberhome hg6142a as replacement.

although i have the Skyworth 2in1 ONR now, i am still using the fiberhome+my own router. so far so good

Do I need to contact Livechat for previous month pro-rated bill , after switching over the SWU 5.0 plan? Or it will be done automatically by system. I’m asking coz my bill end date is changed after signing up new plan.

I can wait for the call, no problem.
Probably forced to upsell postpaid plan by HQ and say stay for 3 months to hit target. Even if i insist that i do not want to take postpaid line, the cs still won't proceed with my request. (was about to try request termination on the spot to see how his face looks like but nah, im a nice person)
If straight terminate success then i'd just subscribe UHome.

I update my case here ya. TM suspended my account and recovered it on same day after I online chatting with them, I logged a MCMC report. TM replied at MCMC report basically "official reply" like terminate before contract finish will have penalty those bla bla bla. The second termination request I made via online portal during 20th Aug and it was before they suspend my account. Today 05/09 5.05pm they call me and offer SWU 5.0 500Mbps RM90 and I take that offer. No need 1hrs, my plan already change in the system. So conclusion is termination method still work just the risk your account might "temporary" suspended by them. tongue.gif

I was also met with such a rude answer when I did the same. My contract is over at end Oct and she just said if you wish to terminate She'll go ahead and penalty me for the remaining contract. "Call me back when your contract is over or else". I think TM is getting too many termination request until they got heated up.
