I did walk-in as well today and got offered similar.
500mbps @ RM90 “promotion finish”.
They did not check my current (100mbps @ RM89, contract ended long ago).

1) 100mbps RM79
2) 300mbps RM99
3) 500mbps RM139
T&C:
1) 6 month bill waiver
2) 24 month contract
3) Force to take SIM card, RM39. Can cancel after 3 month.

Thinking to try termination method.

Got SMS from unifi few hours ago, but until now no calls at all.
i see this thread some people got whatsapp msg instead... hmm.gif

i see you open a few tickets. do you think opening more tickets will help?
as i see some people here get contacted in 1 day, less than 1 week, maybe lucky that new tickets get picked up by someone sooner than the old ones?

after reading a few times, from the email seems like they would proceed after 28 days?

since you found the termination option, why not try submitting it? some forumers here received the call after just 1-2 days

14 July: first termination request
17 July: missed a call from 03-8966 3515. checked online and it is tmnet telemarketer?
28 July: second termination request
4 Aug: third termination request
5 Aug: received call from Unifi, asked why i wanna terminate. mention astro 500mbps only RM90 bla bla bla. they offer 500mbps RM90 perpetual, and free router cos mine is old, and i accepted.
6 Aug: got another call from Unifi, told them i already received call yesterday.

now waiting for the new plan to be activated.

yes termination can work, but waiting for the call is a pain.(for me)
the call usually comes 2–3 weeks after submitting the termination request, though some lucky forumers got it within 1-3 days.

from what i’ve read in this thread, the mobile line isn’t tied to any contract. (3 months is BS)
once your account plan name changes, you can terminate the postpaid line, that usually happens about a week after you sign up.

since you are not aiming for RM90 500mbps, for me i think getting the postpaid and terminate 1 week later is easier as i'm impatient and also dont wanna risk missing the call from Unifi termination crew

my Huawei ONU died just 1 day before my scheduled SWU 5.0 upgrade, and they gave me a secondhand/refurbished Fiberhome hg6142a as replacement.

although i have the Skyworth 2in1 ONR now, i am still using the fiberhome+my own router. so far so good
