Went to TM Point this afternoon to try take SWU 100mbps rm79, but the cs keep insisting that i take 1 postpaid line rm39/mth for 3 months which i rejected.
Does the termination method works for this? I don't want to subscribe anymore phone lines.

yes termination can work, but waiting for the call is a pain.(for me)
the call usually comes 2–3 weeks after submitting the termination request, though some lucky forumers got it within 1-3 days.

from what i’ve read in this thread, the mobile line isn’t tied to any contract. (3 months is BS)
once your account plan name changes, you can terminate the postpaid line, that usually happens about a week after you sign up.

since you are not aiming for RM90 500mbps, for me i think getting the postpaid and terminate 1 week later is easier as i'm impatient and also dont wanna risk missing the call from Unifi termination crew
probably faulty unit?

I can wait for the call, no problem.
Probably forced to upsell postpaid plan by HQ and say stay for 3 months to hit target. Even if i insist that i do not want to take postpaid line, the cs still won't proceed with my request. (was about to try request termination on the spot to see how his face looks like but nah, im a nice person)
If straight terminate success then i'd just subscribe UHome.

Just some sharing here.
For those who looking for swu5.0 RM90 deal, Instead of performing termination request, just submit a feedback within the myunifi app ->get in touch-> share feedback stating u have received other telcos offer for the same price etc and ask for someone to contact you from telemarketing team (provided your contract going to be end), then sit tight and wait for a few days for someone to call you back and offer you with the swu package.

I did that and it works.

Just done submit feedback.
Did termination request 23 days ago but still no calls for offer yet.

Day 30 after submitting termination request, submitted feedback form 8 days ago and still no calls from Unifi for offer/termination. Live chatted just now, need wait tomorrow for updates. Looks like either the termination team handling the requests is overwhelmed or they have no intention to retain me.

Just keep an eye on your line to make sure it is not terminated anytime.

I don't mind if they just terminate, means U Mobile can earn my money for the next 2 years.
Also their horrible speed every night to international sites made me wanna jump ship.

Question: Is forcing people to subscribe a postpaid line just to subscribe SWU at TM point considered Unfair Practice?
currently trying to include as much details as possible in my MCMC report

Sept 3 - Went to TM Point to try get swu 100mbps but I rejected because need subscribe new postpaid line.
Sept 4 - Submitted termination request. (No call from TM afterwards)
Sept 27 - Submitted Feedback Form. (No reply from TM afterwards)
Oct 7 - Already 3 days over the termination date, I submitted an MCMC report to escalate the case.
Oct 8 - Finally received call from TM, still did not offer swu so I decided to straight terminate.
Today - MCMC case resolved and closed with credit adjustment due to late termination. Subscribed to UHome 5G.

ohh yah i don't know tm refuse offer RM79 100Mbps hmm unlucky

Unlucky for TM because they are not gonna earn my money.
Lucky for me because I am enjoying 200-500Mbps right now at the same price. (was paying RM69/mth for 30Mbps pakej perpaduan offer, now no more offer become RM89/mth)

RM69 is the discount they are giving you, RM159 is the price before discount.
