Step 1 : Contact any LG Puricare authorized sales agent
Step 2 : Provide basic info (Name, NRIC no., Contact no., Installation location only) No sales agent should ask for photo of credit card especially with the CVV exposed
Step 3 : Sales agent will generate a link for your order on the OSMS system
Step 4 : Complete your order with more detailed info through the link sent by your sales agent (which will also be sent by LG through SMS)

When filling up your order:
- Disable browser's popup blocker, because it will block our payment gateway from popping out for credit card validation purposes
- Applicant and credit card holder must be the same person
- AMEX / Aeon / Bigpay / MAE / GX credit cards are not available for rental application (Available for outright purchase only)
- Censore CVV code of credit card (if it locates on the same side as cardholder name, card no. and expiry date). You may also cross it with "For LG Puricare only"





Order Submitted

Upon booking, you should expect 2 calls:

1) Order validation from LG customer service, to confirm your details such as name, model, purchase, address, etc. from 1 of the following numbers

Preparation Prior to Installation

1) If you do not wish to involve drilling
- Suitable for those who rent house
- A diverter will be installed on your water tap (must use compatible water tap)
- A red tubing will drain waste water into your sink





2) If you wish to conceal all pipings

- Get your kitchen contractor to drill a 17mm hole on your kitchen countertop, right behind where u want to place the water purifier
- LG technician is able to perform drilling depending on your countertop material

Run from LG.

I paid 5900 in 2022 for their fridge and the inverter compressor died yesterday and none of the smart features or phone app shows any error or issue until now

It’s as hot as an oven in this temperature

Lg don’t have call centre on Sunday

Today call said tomorrow only can come

All food spoilt already

Hundreds gone

Total waste

LG and LG Puricare holds different range of products

Anyway, usually fridge compressor is given 10 years warranty, try getting LG to fix it

But yea, of coz it'll take some time for LG to fix it

Using wd518.
Water dispensing rate is quite slow.
Cold setting not that cold
Energy usage around 15-16kwh per month

Ok la to use if not that much.

Dispensing rate will be slower than water tap since the water is going thru filtration pores as small as 0.1 micron

Coldness wise, at max 3 bars of coldness, the water should be 7°C cold

Ur house how many ppl using? My house 2 ppl only, bout 8~10kWh per month

That is correct! Only saw the lawsuit 2 weeks ago 😭😭 sad that even after replace it’ll happen again

Bought a freezer just for emergencies when it does go again. But it’s easy to know when the compressor dies now because it starts with the ice from the ice maker leaking and flooding the kitchen whilst the app insists everything is working fine 😭😭

feel bad for you... but anyway try to get it fixed under warranty first since you spent so much on the fridge. A bit of shame since I always liked LG fridge for their Door in door feature, but the linear compressor puts me off. Now all their latest model no longer use this compressor

if only their fridges are the same standard as their washing machines / TV

Somtimes its not the compressor, my Samsung Fridge recently died after 4 years (during CNY long weekend) and compressor was not running (thermal cut off activated by its control board). Eventually found out the evaporator cooling fan failed. No error code as well on the fridge.

Its good to check the rear side of the fridge especially the coils and compressor area, my Hitachi fridge died right 1 week after its 5th Birthday, and was deemed beyond repair by Hitachi due to major internal block on the sealed refrigerant line. This was a common issue with Hitachi too circa 2014 to 2016. Basically, it had major internal block, and sealed system line burst open inside the evaporator cooling pan and caused severe damage to the entire fridge. Took Hitachi to Consumer Tribunal and won the case.

Modern fridge require some Tender Loving care on the rear end of the fridge. I usually clean my fridge compressor area every 6 months. My fridge cooling fan died probably due to use of compressed air, as after using WD40 and Singer Machine oil, the fan and the fridge started running again smoothly from CNY to now. I just bought a spare cooling fan in case it seize up anytime soon.

According to the 1st link, the problem starts with the material of the tubing

Assuming all fridge models using the same tubing, perhaps linear compressor is more fragile towards fluctuations in pressure?

Anyway, LG Puricare doesn't carry any fridges with linear compressors, updated the product list with the fridges model no.

the design of the compressor itself is problematic as well. its a very efficient design but too bad its not durable and reliable, otherwise its a big win for LG



the fact that all latest LG fridges no longer use this compressor means LG admits there's a flaw with them

I'm thinking to update post #2 with comparison of our water purifiers to each and every water purifier models of other brands in Malaysia

Maybe every 1 or 2 days (depending on my schedule), I'll compare 518 and 516 to 1 model of other brand

The comparison will be 100% objective disclosing price, functions, specifications etc., and will avoid subjective aspects like design, after-sales service quality etc.

Will that help consumers to make their choice or will that be seen aggresive towards other brands? Should i do it?

What if i realized the machine not ngam after signed up within 1 month want to return or cancel plan can?

Cannot bro, once signed contract then must fulfill the whole 3 or 7 yrs

Anyone used the air purifier AS65? Need some advice based on practical experience on the device usage as well as service quality from LG PuriCare.

Some questions:
1. Why is the device and its replacement filters more expensive than "premium" brands out there e.g. Dyson? Both also HEPA and activated carbon and similar features, not sure what is the price difference for.
2. Under rental arrangement, the replacement filters are FOC but is the delivery of replacement filters FOC?
3. How noisy is the device at max settings?
4. Does it remove formaldehyde? Some salesman told me yes but all the materials I read so far says no, unless my info is from outdated versions.

Hi there, u can refer the attached brochures, both states they removes formaldehyde

1. So if u compare AS65 against Dyson air purifier equipped with Formaldehyde removal function, LG AS65 is actually cheaper, plus the LG is exclusively equipped with PM 1.0 sensor in Msia

2. Yes, delivery is FOC as well. Customers only pay the monthly rental or purchase price, installation, delivery, filters, warranty etc. are all FOC, also no processing/admin fee

3. At turbo setting, noise level is about 50db

4. Yes, can refer the brochures attached ya

In short, LG strengths are the PM1.0 sensor and slightly cheaper machine price, but filter price is higher due to the additional pre-filter which the Dyson doesn't have

But i recommend our rental plan for cheaper price over the same no. of years and more years of warranty

The Dyson also have a reputation of developing high-pitched noise after few yrs of usage

looking at the Puricare WD216AN Tankless Water Purifier - after the 2 years self careship, how do i get replacement parts after the 2nd year? say if i buy the unit outright.

U can simply contact the agent or LG itself directly and request for a repair

The cost will depend on wat part needs to be replaced ya

Luckily I went for rental. So any prob LG will fix for me. So 7 years peace of mind ownership for the unit.

Damn… that time when I installed my water purifier there is no such bundle with air purifier else I dun mind to pay more for it..

Any way for existing water purifier user to also add on to get the air purifier?

Yup, free installation/delivery etc., also no processing/registration fee, all u pay is the monthly rental or purchase price (in case of outright purchase)

No limit on the length of tubings, in my case my house used 10 feet of tubings

Heard there is a promotion in May for the water filter. Is there any details on it?

We haven't receive any marketing material on this promotion yet, so far only the internal memo that inform such promo

Hi guys anyone know if theres a promo to renew the puricare service? Mine just expired - I bought outright with 2 years of service. They quoted RM500/year for service.

also, i see 518 can install horizontal, can this be do it myself? or need technician to change it?

For 7-yr plan, the early termination penalty is the total remaining monthly rental (Basically means that u are tied for the whole 7 years)

For 5-yr plan, u may choose to terminate at zero cost at the end of 3rd year (It's a 3+2 years contract, unlike the 7yrs 7+0 years contract)

Nope, we never had promo for Careship package

For RM500/yr, are u using WD512 or the floorstanding model?

Slightly more expensive than WD516 at RM360 ya, cuz it's regular visit by our technician unlike WD516 which offer self service option

If DIY, in case anything broken then warranty void

So best that u let our technician do, it's free 1 time every year anyway

WD515AN now. So its fixed at RM500/yr unless I pay for more years with a small discount?

I think so too, so i always recommend going rental plan

U pay a bit more (RM240 over 7 years), but u get 6 more years of warranty, i feel it's a better deal

With current WD516 RM50/mth promo, u actually pay less with rental than outright purchase


Per year, total 3pcs of filters

1st filter change every 6 mths, 2nd filter change every 12 mths

This is rent-to-own right? like i'll be keeping the purifier after 5/7 years plan

Yup, during the 5/7 years, all filters and warranty (broken parts etc.) are free

How do you compare AS60 and AS65?

The diff:
1. Booster fan - Even though the coverage area of the 2 models is the same at 650sf, AS65 equipped with booster fan will circulate the air around much fast, speed up the cleaning process
2. Timer function - Not available on AS60
3. Remote control - Not available on AS60, but still can be controlled using the LG ThinQ app
4. Price - AS60 Rm40 vs AS65 Rm65

on top of the above, Another thing to consider is that AS65 is using inverter motor vs Brushless DC motor on the AS60

Any major difference from the motor difference? Motor warranty same?

From you guys experience, does anyone actually buy it outright instead of rental? Rental seems no-brainer

AS60's BLDC motor only has 1 yr warranty and AS65's inverter motor has 10 yrs warranty

But usage wise no diff, both are said to be energy efficient (anyway fans do not use much electricity)

My customers mostly go for rental, no need to pay big sum upfront and u actually pay less over 7 years LOL

WD516 at RM50 per month is excellent value. I am already 6 months with it and very satisfied. Filter just changed last week, they couriered it straight to your address together with some basic cleaning kit (Small brush, wet and dry tissue, etc)
I also signed on for their Washer rental plan (RM70). My first ever front load unit so takes a while to get used to. Apparently they will send cleaning tablets (?) for tub cleaning.

Is this normal ?

Finish pasang i think around 02:30pm (1400-1500 consume 44Wh cause initial setup those and consume 4.4L water)

I left my home around 03:00 pm but no use the water purifier cause installer says best let it idle after 2 hours.

the 1500-1600 no one at home but the spike of energy like O.o ?
Is it because it's doing the COOLING thing ?
Installer did mention need let the coolant cool

I checked mine its uses average 330 Wh per day

Urs uses more right after installation cuz usually the machine flush the new filters prior to use for about 7min, this happens everytime u change filter too

Yea that 7 min happened between 1400-1500 actually

But 1500-1600 getting higher usage though which i guess the coolant is working tat time.
Cause before i left the house, the COOL indicator only 1 out of 3 blue light

Ya, the compressor is working to cool to max 3 bar of lights, so that when u dispense cold water it can cool it instantly

Should be normal bro, observe few days it should be fine no worry

Besides the design, what are the other different between WD516 and WD518?

what i know is WD518 comes with preset water volume.

Hi can refer the below for all the differences between 518 and 516 ya:

1. 10ml volume control - Can set any volume u like every 10ml between 120~1000ml (i.e. 120, 130, 140 etc. all the way to 1000ml)

2. Favourite preset - Can set 3 favourite presets of volume + temperature combo (Preset A = 120ml 40°C for baby formula, Preset B = 270ml 85°C for coffee etc.), 1 button to change both volume and temperature you use most frequently

3. Both has auto up-down water tap (to avoid water spill out, safer hot water use), but 518 is square shape, so once installed water tap cannot swing horizontally 180° (But LG can help reposition/relocate for Free 1 time every year)

4. 518 has no water tray, so it's shorter in length (but no effect on usage, water doesn't drip after dispensing)

5. 516 is RM10 cheaper due to the ongoing promo

Hi the promo WD217 outwright purchase vs WD516 RM50/month which more worth? I don't really mind the cold water though

Let me first list down their feature differences for u, everything else not listed here are the same
1. 516 has cold water
2. 516 has auto up-down water tap
3. 217 water tap is taller, easier for certain ppl to fill water bottle
4. 516 preset volume (120, 250, 500 and 1,000ml), 217 only (120, 250, 500ml)
5. 516 has auto internal and water tap sterilisation function (flushing with hot water), 217 has neither (But both have UV sterilisation for water tap)
6. 516 can be self-serviced (DIY change filters every 6 mths) cuz it has the functions in item 4 above, 217 can only be serviced by our technician every 3 mths

Then their price difference is:-
217 - Rm3,030 = RM1,500 + RM1,530 (Discounted price if buy 5 yrs in advance, if buy year-by-year Rm360 x 5 yrs = Rm1,800)
516 - Rm4,200 = Rm50 x 84 mths

So really up to u whether worth to pay extra Rm1,230 for the extra features, i think the more important ones are the auto sterilisation functions and self-servicing feature

Thanks for the detailed comparison. 217 seems like a better buy throughout 7 years ownership if we do not mind not having the cold water dispenser and the sterilization function.
Aside setting volume, is there a function to let the water running more than that? say if I want to fill up 3L do I need to select 1000ml 3 times?

and the outright offer for 217 till when? I saw u said must be serviced by technicians, does that also means the filter is not user replaceable?

No need, other than the few preset volume, both models also come with another button for continuous dispensing for 3 min non-stop

The promo ends 30 June ya

The 217 filters replacement are similar to 516, but since 217 isn't equipped with sterilisation functions, it'll need a separate device to help flush it's components, so that's what our technician will do when he visits every 3 mths

Because my new house only VP next month, move in probably half year later, I wonder if there is a way to reserve these promo, once start paying the rental start running ady

If 516 it'll be rental, if 217 then is outright purchase ya

Compare to 516, 217 is the older model and most likely will be phased out soon, so to avoid stock running out, I suggest u take delivery now and install at ur current house first, when move to new house just bring over and LG can reinstall for u FOC

If u decided with 516, then u can lock the price by booking now and choose to install now or later. If install later, no need to pay rental now, rental only starts charging when installation is done

No difference, just that they're stating the promo for the retail stores instead us agents

Is the water UV sterilized safe enough for infant without boiling? I notice there is internal UV Sterilization but not sure about water that get filtered out.

The filtered water is perfectly safe to drink directly, but according to chinese tradition, some still boils it in case their babies couldn't take the "coldness"

There's no internal UV sterilisation, UV sterilisation is only for the water tap (cuz it's exposed to germs in the air, but cannot be flushed with water otherwise ur kitchen will be all wet ), internal pipes will be cleaned by flushing with hot water every week instead

Where those internal sterilized flushed hot water goes after that?
