Is this the bare broadband package (without a movie pack, without mobile, etc.)? Because I couldn't access it when browsing through the Unifi website or its mobile app.

It only gives these options:

The installer just came to replace my router with FiberHome ones after the SWU4.0 plan change, is there anything else they shouldve gave me other than this router? I forgot what the people at unifi store offered earlier

Hello guys, does anyone know what it means that the first hop out of my router is having ping spikes too?

Every website seems to be having on and off again ping spikes and lags, netflix doesn't want to load sometimes, but speedtest is always 850++

I have high ping to google, cloudflare and microsoft, but when playing cod or fortnite, there seems to be no ping spikes although they takes ages to load into the game or download in game data

this is on my maxis line btw, my unifi line seems fine

first thing to do, login to router webpage.

set 2.4 + 5 ghz security to wpa +wpa2 only...AES method .

if not you will face intermittent disconnection from the router. unless most of your home device supports wifi6 and above

Yea wpa /wpa2 psk mixed is default.

The encryption mode no need TKIP + AES? Just AES only?

How about band steering, enable or disable?

AES is secure-r than TKIP.
TKIP is very old protocol from mesolithic era....

Band steering is combination of 2.4+5ghz, the one thing when you turn this on, the router will always try to assign 2.4Ghz to you even if your device is very near to the router/node, not sure if is the firmware fault or settings.

How I usually trick the router in to giving me 5Ghz always is that I adjust the signal strength for 2.4Ghz to the lowest or middle, but that would also mean your CCTV cameras will have lesser coverage range.

What is your routers firmware by the way?

which model is that fiberhome? SR1041Y?

You might need to send a request like how a few replied back up showed on how to request for firmware update.

TM is not doing a good job for the custom support for this fiberhome, but overall is a good device, or scroll back up to read on how to get rid of the @ unifi ssid.

EDIT: Also my bad, you can set security settings protocol to WPA2 (PSK) only, as I just checked online having WPA (TKIP) + WPA2 (AES) might affect network speeds, as your devices struggles to process the keys.

Currently in TM klcc

Latest SWU plan for 500mbps is RM149 no 6 month waiver and RM139 with waiver, but need to subscribe unifi mobile for minimum 2 month
*
I would like to clarify abit.
Price for SWU 4.0 (500mpbs) is
1. RM149 monthly without 6 month bill waiver (don't need unifi mobile) or
2. RM139 monthly with 6 month bill waiver (but need to add on unifi mobile for 2 months).

Am I right?

Recently upgraded speed to 100Mbps and they give D-Link DIR-X1860Z. How well is this router and how configurable the router?

Almost as good as entry-level tplink in features.
In terms of performance for 100mbps, its overpowered.

Not sure, I don't like Dlink as most of their firmwares are buggy as hell. So no comment on it, the last brand I will avoid is Dlink.

I read on FB, that one user manage to easymesh the dlink with his TP link router. At least still got use of it to be an AP.
