I find back a post from Soya Cincau quoting the following:

I also remember they list the one-off price for equipment change in lieu of contract renewal. If memory serve me right it was less than RM300. However, I cannot find it anymore.

Now they just say:
"For the upgraded equipment, you will be given an option of contract refreshed to 24- months or a one-off payment for the device price."

From another thread there is rumor TM will upgrade from GPON to something else. I suspect there is a possibility they will only give the FSU after they done whatever upgrade needed, at their own sweet time.

Also, the TnC now has a Force Majeure section disclaiming all liability. I don't remember they had one previously. But I might be getting too old to remember things properly.

GFN services are available in Japan through two GFN Alliance Partner providers - Softbank and au Japan. To my knowledge, there have been no news reports indicating that YES is the exclusive GFN service provider in Malaysia. It was only announced that YES was offering exclusive BETA for their YES customers to try until 10 April 2023 before it opened the service to non-YES customers. Therefore, there should be no issues accessing GFN services from multiple providers in the same country or region. Starhub GFN Singapore covers Malaysia as well. But I will agree that having TM hosting the VMs will definitely help a lot considering their peering routes are probably like 10x better compared to Yes’s peering to local telco/ISP

I subscribed to GFN via Starhub before YES GFN was available. I still use Starhub Premium with a grandfathered price SGD 9.99/month as it is cheaper (now it is SGD 12.99/month for new users; they will receive 50 hours of priority queue, compared to the the legacy 40 hours).

When comparing host latency between Starhub and YES GFN services using the Nmap tool in Malaysia via Celcom 5G mobile network:

Your Unifi private IP protects your CCTV system from hackers, but it also means you need a new way to access them remotely. Two options: set up a VPN (secure tunnel to your network) by using a third-party VPN provider that can be set up in your home router or subscribe to a cloud-based CCTV solution (remote viewing and recording). Some IP addresses in the IP prefix 175.0.0.0/24 are not private. Today, Unifi assigned me a public IP address as an 800 Mbps Unifi user, which is within that prefix. If my IP address is private, I won't be able to access my router and NAS remotely.

If he hasn't changed his forwarding port settings in his router, he should be able to access his CCTV system just as before.

It's possible that NVIDIA is interested in investing in the official Geforce Now service using YES data center infrastructure. I hope so, ehehehe ehehehe.

However, I doubt that TM will upgrade its TM One Cloud Alpha data center from the Huawei platform to the NVIDIA platform; the cost would be too high.

If your Synology NAS requires DDNS setup, then it is not possible if your ISP assigns your router a private shared address space (networks 10.0.0.0/8, 172.16.0.0/12, 192.168.0.0/16, and IETF-defined 100.64.0.0/10).

If that's the case, your router does not support Hairpin NAT.

As far as TM is concerned, it's not their problem. As far as setup is concerned, you are doing it right.

Is this the bare broadband package (without a movie pack, without mobile, etc.)? Because I couldn't access it when browsing through the Unifi website or its mobile app.

I have had an Internal Server Error while trying to log into the Unifi Selfcare Portal desktop website since morning. Wonder why... But, no issue via its app.

Update: OK, after clearing its cookies, it works again.

My ASUS routers, located at different premises under Unifi plans, are currently unable to complete the authorization process for renewing the Let's Encrypt certificate of the private ASUS.COM DDNS domain assigned to each router. This gives me a headache to remotely access each main router's web page and subpages. I have to wait for a week due to rate limits set by Let's Encrypt.

If you're experiencing difficulty logging into your Unifi member's account while using the Chrome browser, you might try using the Incognito browser mode. It appears that clearing cache and data may not be effective in the default browsing mode. Alternatively, you can use other browsers such as Firefox to log in.

I'm surprised my suggestions worked for me but didn't work for you. Hmm. confused.gif Have you tried the private mode in Firefox?

The MyUnifi link would give me an Internal Server Error 500 from the Apache Tomcat page if I didn't use either incognito mode in Chrome or inPrivate mode in Edge:

In Firefox (not private mode), I used the Mozilla uBlock Origin and Cookie AutoDelere extension to block certain cookies that prevented the MyUnifi login page from opening properly.

If I disabled both extensions, I would get the Internal Server Error 500 error:

So, there are issues with persistent cookies used by the MyUnifi login page which the server uses to remember our login access.
