Done with Unifi as expected Black box is culprit I'm guessing manufacturer defect. Almost spend 1 hour no issue solved. As results they just replaced with Skyworth combo box and issue resolved. But technician offered me either reuse my old fiberhome modem/ use combo box as bridge.
I'm just went for old modem + router setup. Re-setup ONU to gain internet access
Speed back to 930mbps will monitor for month.

Definitely don't care about the Ultimate pack. My UniFi TV is only being used by my in-laws to watch TV1, TV2 & TV3 but even that's a rare occassion

They should have replaced with dlink combo box . Why did the tech opted for skyworth instead,? Hope it's resolved for good

He said he don't have that model now also TM ordered Skyworth for 1Gbps users. He also say his pain that combo box is been hassle to them so many issues. Currently not using skyworth opted for old setup.

Is it just me that connection right now is very bad? Most sites including lowyat forum here cant be connected to and I had to be using mobile data to get hereโ€ฆ

I realised that after I disabled IPv6, I no longer had any connection/buffering issues or perhaps much less so. Is TM's IPv6 just bad or something?

10.0.0.0/8
169.254.0.0/16
172.16.0.0/12
192.168.0.0/16

those 4 ranges (at least) are not routable on the public Internet.
if your router gets assigned outside those 4, chances are you are directly assigned public IP.

Yea, I just MNP from my Umobile line cuz 5G getting unstable so port over to Hotlink.

For the Maxis part, see how lo. Waiting Unifi tech team come and change the modem and then see how to resolve locally in Kuching. But if KL side still cap my speed, make SKMM lo with unsatisfied resolution and keep them piling bruce.gif

Hi All,

i recently upgrade to Unifi 2gbps and using their default router+modem. What's the best way to get full 2gbps on a single lan port? i know it has been discussed few times. appreciate if you can direct me to posts related to it. Soon, ill be moving to new home and will be running router + network splitter setup to enable multiple lan ports at home. So, looking at a modem router that will bypass unifi default 1gbps segregated speed limit for future use.

you can't with the white ONR. period.
hardware limitation.
even if you somehow magically able to bond (the ONR does not support aggregation/bonding/trunking), individual network thread is limited to theoretical maximum of 940Mbps. so your application need to create 2 threads to run through 2 ports at same time in order to potentially reach 2x940Mbps.

that's why TM's 2Gbps documentation says if you want to know max speed test, you need 2 machines each with 1Gbe cable to do the test at same time, in order to saturate 2 ports of the white ONR. and then you have to summ the values from both machines.

technician TM pun menyumpah. bila mereka komplen macam mana nak buat speedtest customer minta, TM suruh mereka bawa 2 laptop ke site. gila.

that Dlink AIR app is total crap. siapa yang tulis app dlink tu patut dibuang kerja dan di blacklist daripada menjawat apa-apa kerja IT dengan mana-mana firma, kecil atau besar, seumur hidup.
