Change the x to t and maxsuxks to its real name.Power my asss.

Butthead,
You were slightly incorrect about the wireless router setup, you can still connect the ZTE to it and run it on pure Access Point mode.It does basically the same function as a switch wirelessly. If the routing function is not disabled in the wireless router then the situation would come to what we call a double NAT routing.
I don't even want to talk about sharing with the Power Asss USB modem package.
It's real pain in the <your turn to insert here>

Hot News:
Also would like to inform you that Maxsucks is making their staffs sign bonding contracts with the devil to churn extra revenue.Of course they get slightly special rate and they can choose to have the payment directly deducted from their phone allowance of RM350-400 every month. But their staffs are also forced to sell their souls to the devil for eternity<18 months> in doing so.
*
good... you found proof... basically i was looking for it in the form of text... did not pay attention to the images... p2p aside.. now you can go and ask them about what is unlimited in maxis wbb? maybe they willl tell you that you can logon for an unlimited amount of time... providing you dun use more than 20GBs whistling.gif

anyways... i know about the router/access point... that's why i said my friend got caught out by the "very knowledgeable" SAs... he understands that the WAN / modem port on the router was for a modem and he was told by the SA that the ZTE was a modem "only"... hence masuk salah lubang lah... and not to mention the problem of having 2 DHCP on the same network (this is getting out of topic, so let's stop)

basically there is not much use to have double routing on a home network... i'd rather they give me control over DHCP functions and port forwarding on the ZTE...

There are two clear issues in this tread; Technical and Moral.

Bad Technical + Good Moral = Forget and forgive
Good Technical + Bad Moral = Forgive
Bad Technical + Bad Moral = Forget

MUCKSIS have their own website that can notify the user of upcoming upgrade (if any), schedule maintenance or service-down apologies. Moral #1; inform the user.

Advertisement is a mode of telling people about your product or service. If any misleading attention during the advertisement this is called LIE. Although the users sign the agreement doesn't mean users selling their soul. Moral #2; tell the truth.

P2P has existed for quite sometime. So does the torrent. Basically, MUCKSIS already know what is coming ahead. Furthermore, other providers already indicate some clue of the game ball. And MBB is not the first product in your store related to Broadband area. Therefore, when you advertise the BROADBAND and UNLIMITED; carries a new meaning that will supersede previous problem (internal and external). Moral #3; be prepared and honest.

I really don't want to argue pertaining end user agreement. My side of agreement is simply pay and use. Your side of agreement is to provide. My purchase is based on your advertisement that you fully concisions made. Any omission is your own negligence. And I just exercise my customer right. Moral #4; I am customer.

Am I wanted to revoke my agreement with MUCKSIS? Hell no. The agreement is to make MUCKSIS to fulfill their service. Any hostile act to my account is act of prejudice.

Finally, granted me (us) the product i.e. BANDWIDTH in the whatsoever formats, protocols, duration and size. As it is not my problem to understand your problem.

PS: if you want to sell 50kBps to 1000 people, make sure that you have 50MBps

Okay, we currently have an option of forming a group then storm into maxshit tower and ask for the cancellation of service without paying the penalty. Or anyone have a better idea, we are here to listen smile.gif

We can't tahan any more for letting this kind of idiotic company to con our money.

MAXIS, PLEASE STOP CHEATING!!!

if so much are planning to theaten for termination... i suggest you really do it in a group... acting alone will never make them realize they are losing valueble customers... and you will need to get a big enough group to do this successfully...

get your facts, supporting data and arguments right.. worst case, present it to some consumer council.. and ask for a termination without a clause...complaints at this point has no use..unless you want to stay with maxis wbb... so make up your mind for once and for all... decide if you are to terminate or continue staying...

you'll want to use the limited reasons you have now for a clear termination... the later and the more this reasons are used... it will become un-acceptable to them and they will find ways to overcome this... so if you do wish to terminate... form a real group push forward with it and make it real... it won't be so easy to terminate in the near future...you know maxis will just ignore the existence of all our rants here right?...jus my 2 cents

To all good people; asking for cancellation is quite simple and MUCKSIS can simply run away scotch free. Penalty is just a scheme of deterring people from canceling. If we walk away; definitely we're the loser. shakehead.gif

This is a simple issue; People Vs. MUCKSIS to provide whatever they claimed on false advertisement.

Under the court of law; MUCKSIS must fulfill our need of internet connection.

It has been sometime that people being threaten with false agreement from numerous companies. But in the reality; those companies are actually provide us a mean of security for Performance Contract.

Burden of Proof from the consumer is not always required. A simple protest is sufficient enough to justify. Furthermore, Burden of Proof from MUCKSIS that they are fulfill the obligation is something much matter. MUCKSIS must to prove towards People aka Government. This is not small people VS MUCKSIS but People aka Customer aka Government VS MUCKSIS.

Maxis Wireless Broadband? My foot!

My office is on the 28th Floor, Komtar. For security reasons, I decided to use the Huawei/HSDPA-powered wireless broadband. The Maxis version couldn't move the packets on the 28th floor. I bought a Celcom/Vodafone version of the same 3.6Mbps application, and the packets fly!

It's certainly Celcom territory in Penang!

You are not alone.

He has been funding UMNO a long way back since the Dr M era.If not, how do you think he can manage to monopolise satellite tv in Malaysia and run Maxsux until today?

if it is wireless it'll suck... it's the question of sooner or later...all of this wireless providers has already stated quota limitations on their throughput in their rules and regulations... they'll soon need to limit the users if they find that they can't take the load and complaints come pilling in.. if you know about it... no point discussing on which wireless provider to choose next...you are basically just looking at another trap which is just waiting to be activated...

if you hate maxis.. the only alternative left is back to TM... using physical landlines..that's they way i see it...

3 choices
1) live with maxis
2) go back to TM (complains on p2p speed will continue)
3) live without internet

To butthead:

This problem will never occur if those MUCKSIS does not advertise something not really there. I'm 40 years old with 5 kids; yes I can live without P2P or Torrent and I'm not junky to single provider.

Put it this way: if I want and make an offer to anybody that I have unlimited internet access for RM100 per month will you take it?
If I fulfill - you will say it a good deal.
If I fail - you will say I'm a treachery.

In my case, I don't want my money back. I have done nothing wrong that render my contract revoke. I just want the product from a company that really dares to include broadband as a product name. Sure, other providers can challenge this case on my behalf. But for the mean time; I just want my product. Kabish?

this happens with every single new ISP lar.. face it... you don't remember all the problems you had with TM when it started way back when there is no unlimited plans?... when you pay as you use?

if you want to argue about interpretation of the terms they use.. i think i give up... each person has their own interpretation (i believe)...

let me explain my side of my own thinking... let's say they have 10 x 155mbps backbone initially thinking to service 1500 subscribers.. this will give them 1mbps each right on average? uncapped and unlimited assuming with some to spare...(you are happy with 1mbps i assume as an example)... couple months down the road..user registration blooms beyond their expected sign-ups.. of course this 1.5gbps will not become enough to serve everyone... they will have a though time to upgrade in time, request for budgets and the usual hoo-has in big organizations... and then comes along the few jokers who called up to complain just because they can't download their illegal MP3s at full 3.6mbps together with the usual bloke who did really suffer the real slow down because of some technical problem... so who do they know really deserves the bandwidth??? they dun come to your house and watch your surfing habits.. so to be fair... just cap everyone lar...whether you are his friend, mother, father, datuk or tan sri.... fact is, they are partly forced into this because of us (yes we have to take responsibility making some false and irrelevant and unnecessary reports)...

arguments and complaints are still being made to tmnet streamyx no mather how much they improve...how much speed they give users...i am sure 80% of us are downloaders and leechers who are straining our connections at full strength any possible time of the day... i know you have the right to do that.. just that they are not quite ready allow you to do so... and i don't think they will never looking at how steamyx is now...

i know i sound like i am on maxis side... i know i have my complaints as well in earlier posts... but recently they have just given me answers to my questions which they could not answer for months... i am not saying this much on behalf of them nor do i get any benefits in doing so...

my view...give them a couple of months to resolve this problem and hopefully they give you some rebates or discounts in the end.. either that.. terminate lar if you dun like...frankly it might help some of us who wish to continue to get better service cos you guys contribute to scaring them into performing emergency fixup to their services...call me sellfish...i dun care...

i don't know much about this IM thingy cos i am not much of an IM guy... frankly you know how fast the HSDPA connection drops back to UMTS nowadays right... i felt it was a bit faster at some point, even though connection does not break and IP does not change.. sometimes you just experience that short gap that a web page does not reload.. if you read earlier pages you would have know this problem exists and especially with ASP pages like banking transactions which sometimes poses some big problems as all details filled in are lost...

i experimented and found out that if i have my IM in the background running idle with nothing else using the internet connnection.. just sometimes, when it switches to UMTS and back will cause it to disconnect... even my VPN back to my office just breaks off sometimes when i leave it idle and it goes back to UMTS... frustrating but is a fact.... no point for me to complain about this... cos i think i understand the reason behind this..

anyways... i think i should stop voicing my opinions as i look more and more like a maxis spokes person.. personally ... i will give them another 3 to 6 months to improve and if they do not.. my next flood of complains or termination will go to them... meanwhile i will just utilized 100% of what they give me.. i am paying RM78 for it anyways... dun tell me my throttled 256kbps for 2/3 of the month is straining maxis network..
