QUOTE(-kytz- @ Oct 26 2021, 05:45 PM) The car does not seem to accelerate when the car infront moves during a traffic stop when I am on ICC? Any ideas? Also how close must the key fob be with the car to unlock it wirelessly? Could be a safety concern..especially if someone knows you are nearby and wants to enter your car QUOTE(josh5671 @ Oct 26 2021, 05:54 PM) QUOTE(ycs @ Oct 26 2021, 06:45 PM) Or can throttle ur engine abit. QUOTE(zero5177 @ Oct 26 2021, 10:51 PM) I'm from KL area so not decided on this yet, also due to the fact that Crystalline would not work with Smart Tag and don't like a small cut without tint/with different tint, I held back a little on this. I am using crytalline without small cut. It can work but got trick. Hv to move really slow almost to the stop. My case it will show no smart tag then after that ok already. BTW how long it takes from the date SA register your details with chasis number available until you get your car? But best solution use rfid lah. Hopefully plus highway can implement it asap to all entry/exit point. This post has been edited by death_nite: Oct 27 2021, 09:04 AM |

QUOTE(sanakim @ Oct 26 2021, 08:18 PM) I did PPF on headlamp with 3M Scotchgard. Price range ~RM500 for headlamp alone. Full car I got quote ~Rm16k so can forget it hahah. I actually wanted to get my own ceramic/graphene spray waxes and do it regularly but since my car is white and after reading how it will turn yellow no matter what, I decided to give it a ceramic coating (way more concentrated than spray waxes) to prolong the white colour. For coating, endless debate. Personally I wasn't convinced and ended up not getting coating and instead committed to wash every 2-3 weeks and wax every 6 months. Currently, there are hardly any products in the market that offer good uv protection. Ceramic coating is the best and most accessible option here so I went with it. |

Last time when I install on my car they tested windscreen not suitable because of tinted, wondering would Crystalline or any tinted will have that problem or not and end up install on headlamp This post has been edited by zero5177: Oct 27 2021, 01:56 PM |

I just got graphene coating for my white car tho, heard that it is somehow better than ceramic coatings with similar price so i gave it a try. The warranty was given by Cerakote Malaysia instead of any respective detailing shop, so even if the shop went out of business you can still contact Cerakote to arrange you to other certified shop for warranty/maintenance (at least this is what they stated), compared to the usual ceramic coating which warranty is given by the shop itself unless you went to reputable shops but usually the price is quite high..Currently, there are hardly any products in the market that offer good uv protection. Ceramic coating is the best and most accessible option here so I went with it. |

I put the RFID on my upper left side of outer windscreen as I put PPF on headlamps, so can't put RFID there. Note that you can't reuse the RFID sticker; once you tear it (e.g. replace PPF at headlamp), need to buy a new one.
BTW, anyone figured out how to turn off "Hi Proton" voice activation? This post has been edited by sanakim: Oct 27 2021, 11:56 PM |

QUOTE(amscouzach57 @ Oct 26 2021, 05:39 PM) Today got the chance to really drive the car. probably can change the reverse cam module with hd ones? Love it when turbo kicks in at low revs. Very addictive for sure. I didn't noticed the whistling/ howling noise at certain speeds as I was too occupied talking to my mum. What I noticed was the cabin was considerably quiet. That was why the discussion went well. Aside from the limited adjustability of the right side mirror, I hated the low definition of the reverse camera & the line indicators were not as accurate as I want them to be. Need to get used to it. Gonna have to get used to the DCT characteristics. Gear change was considerably smooth during steady driving. Built quality was alright. |

Yeah saw some mention over that thread and they prefer capacitor instead of battery operated 70mai, but discussion doesn't seems active there despite this is somewhat a compulsory add on for today's marketI heard Thinkware is like RM1.4k or something.. out of range lah lol. From 70mai site it appear for parking function to work, need to add optional Hardware Kit for Parking Mode, means it is tapped to fuse box to use car bettery instead of the unit's battery? Wonder would that cause car battery to flat even faster |
