QUOTE(sonotme @ Oct 30 2020, 01:26 PM) Yup. SA told me car showroom units have to be bought by the dealers using own money. Not like previous where you return it. Some outlet has allocation ready already today, not showroom unit. QUOTE(kllonely1 @ Oct 30 2020, 01:29 PM) Tak lama lg kot. Hopefully they'll do that after they have done proper engine break-in |

There is so many different information out there. My SA told me I'm in q no. 90++ despite booking on 16th Sept. So it's unlikely for me to get the car this year. I understand that some outlet is too popular and you'll get the car sooner if you book at outlet with less order. I have asked my SA whether is there any way to push up my timeline but she said no. And then in facebook group, there are claims that you'll get the car sooner if you pay cash or go for the "optional" package. And I have actually booked from 4 outlet and none of them said this is true. PitVidic liked this post

QUOTE(zero5177 @ Nov 30 2020, 01:55 AM) Agreed, If say wind noise at windows probably run channel related issue can be fixed. This is what most of us thought too, that visors will make it worse. Surprisingly, I have seen like 4-5 reviews from fb and telegram group that the visors did manage to reduce the wind noise by half probably. Door Visor will only make more wind noise, not recommended. IMO, NVH is good on this one with the Continental, not sure about the Giti Of course, I agree too sending to SC to have them checked first before trying visors on your own |

From facebook group, there are users sharing that the whistling sound can be solved by covering some/all of the holes inside the tweeter. Might be worth trying.
QUOTE(-kytz- @ Dec 19 2020, 09:15 AM) There's no physical sim card slot right? So after the 5 years 1gb/month plan, we need to approach the telcos to continue the data plan? Yup, there is. Here's the link if you're interested: https://t.me/X50MYIs there a telegram group for the X50? |

QUOTE(exdtan @ Jan 15 2021, 01:11 PM) If you ask financial planner then they probably advise you not to get X50 if you have a house loan and you are thinking about 7-9 years repayment period. Lol wutt. I have 500k house 35 years loan, and I still opt for 90% loan 9 years loan for X50. This is a good time to get loan in my opinion since the rate is low, so I can use more money to get higher return in investment. But of course, save some cash for rainy days especially in covid situation like you said.Keep the money for emergency bro especially during covid situation. But yea the rate is quite low these day, you can easily get 2.21 - 2.28 no problem |

QUOTE(exdtan @ Jan 16 2021, 10:16 AM) If your house loan occupied 50% of your net income and therefore forces you to take longer repayment period for car loan so you still have tiny bit of allowance then, yes why not get a house loan and choke yourself everyday right ? Why you went and assume 50% immedietly in the first place instead of asking more details about his financial situation? |

QUOTE(muncheno @ Jan 16 2021, 06:04 PM) For sharing here and vent my dislike to Proton. If the car comes with it, why would they let you choose which package? They just wanted to force customer to take either package. Sigh. Proton oh proton. So what did you do? Did you insist on not taking the package or gave in?Yesterday I was told by my SA, my orange Flagship has been confirm. So today SA comeback with the amount for the deposit. Last minute here, SA said it is a must to take either Urban or Utility package. They car come with it. I was a bit angry with this, as from start keep telling me it is not compulsory to take any package. |

QUOTE(exdtan @ Jan 17 2021, 09:20 AM) It’s simple. I’m not paid by them, I don’t work for them. No reason for me to go to that extent to ask so much some more it is their privacy. Yo bro/sis. I understand your intention is to give advice and maybe we got off the wrong foot. What I was trying to say is that the person was asking for what kind of interest rate he'll get and stated some info such as him having a housing loan. So I did my best to give general feedback according to what’s provided. Period. Again I don’t owe you or anyone anything, this is public forum. You have a good one. But your immediate response was suggesting that if a person has a housing loan, better not taking x50 car loan, which was too quick to jump to conclusion in my opinion. After we commented further, you then replied 50% loan will be a burden which comes to my previous question, why did you assume 50% in the first place? But I do understand your intention was to share your opinion and advice, I was just confused by your statement "If you have house loan, dont take car loan for X50 and then your next statement with assumption 50% loan. So I hope I get to clear things up and we're cool. You have a good one too. |

QUOTE(LiQuiD @ Jan 18 2021, 03:17 PM) Are we supposed to receive SMS booking confirmation from Proton when we book X50? So far i didnt receive any. Most of the people will receive SMS booking confirmation, but there are alot of customers did not receive their SMS too. Some of them did not receive the SMS but got their car already. Don't worry so much but you may have to ask your SA for clarification.Booked on 10th Sept |

QUOTE(muncheno @ Feb 22 2021, 04:17 PM) Question for X50 owners here. Whatever you do that involves wiring, even if it's plug & play, it will void your warranty. But if it's PnP, you can remove it before sending to SC, so it's more convenient. And of course warranty void will not apply on unaffected area (e.g. change speaker wont void engine warranty). I have purchased DSP and did 4-doors 2 layer soundproof, so the audio system is much better now.Did you did any upgrade for your audio system such as adding DSP and/or Sub-Woofer or changing speakers? If yes, do you know what happen to warranty if you are tapping audio signal from speakers or using plug&play wire? Thanks. QUOTE(n8210 @ Feb 24 2021, 09:33 AM) Interest rate is roughly 2.3% - 2.45% as I recall from some of the sharing in Facebook group. I personally got 2.32% from PBB and all depends on your credit scoring. Try to approach other banks for comparison |

QUOTE(muncheno @ Mar 1 2021, 05:58 PM) Heads-up / sharing here for X50 users. I just did my 1000 km service last Saturday and it's free no question asked. Service advisor also mentioned there is 5 free labour charges. It was Jawira Balakong for those who are interested. My X50 went for 1k/1month first service on last week. Proton 3S center informed their Proton system is down and insisted you must paid first for 1st services. To make it short, I have to argued my way out with the manager and insisted not to pay anything until their system is up for clarification. The solution now, if system is up and claim I not the user first 30,000 booking then I will have make my complaint to Proton HQ. As I have an official receipt that I booked before they even announce 20k booking from 2 weeks after launching. Thus I'm very sure I'm one of the 20k customers who booked earlier. QUOTE(contestchris @ Mar 2 2021, 11:35 AM) Which is the most in demand colours and least in demand colours? Any idea? Highest demand would be Red, White and Grey. Lowest demand will be Silver and Orange. But of course, they may be different for different dealersI booked X50 Executive yesterday and my SA say can get reject colours or reject loan cases within 3 months. |

QUOTE(invest2229 @ Mar 4 2021, 02:32 PM) Any idea where we can see official fuel consumption from Proton website? In my meter, it's 13.5 km/L or 7.4 L/km. Manually also around there. 70% highway (but 50% of the highway is Federal Highway, getting more jam also especially these few days). I try to relate official fuel performance vs what it shown in my meter at 11.4 L / 100 km. There is the big gap and wanted to know what is actual performance. Eco mode during low speed (jam/city drive) and Normal mode in smooth traffic highway. Sport mode during overtaking or for fun sometimes. |

QUOTE(muncheno @ Mar 14 2021, 07:20 PM) So far when I drive my usual road for last 2 days, doesn't hear any wind noise when above 70km/h. Wait, did you mean it's easy to do or it is NOT easy to do? I think what you did was sticking 3M tape at that corner right? Pretty nice thought there, I think I would try your approach. I have tried Aero Fins and they slightly reduced wind noise, but not much. Thank you for sharing.Normally happen also depends on wind angle. I think it is reducing coz I didn't hear it since stick the thick tape there. I will try to update in another week, now still cant confirm. It is not easy to do, perhaps u want to try it yourself. Get those red 3M double-sided tape or thick and soft tape, then put it at corner at the seal@door side or the plastic housing. If the theory is correct here, that corner seems light only have a soft touch on yhe rubber seal, thus not enough pressure on it and also the seal at that corner also seem to out of shape (not 'D'), maybe that the reason it happened. |
