I'm in KL with no Allo coverage, their website stated that those who are not within their coverage can submit an enquiry about it, but the only response I got was an email stating that they're processing my enquiry but nothing much after that.

Is there any way to at least get to know their rollout plans in the area? I've heard some people that's not within coverage got some proper response with estimated timeframe of rollout.

Seriously frustrating when there's not much choices other than TM or Maxis.

Allo down at my area, Butterworth penang, anyone experience the same? Down since 3:45pm....SC told me fiber issue, red light blinking at LOS (lost of signal) on Huawei device

Question does Allo provde public ip for home plan or can request?

Allo broadband does not provide Public IP for home plans.

anyone experiencing extremely slow download speed on Allo from SG server? I've noticed there are few IP range getting affected, even steam download also affected from my side. Switch to mobile maxis no problem.

Yes. Steam switch to SG server also slow download. 2Mbps only.

Slow download in Steam as well. I tried to change the download region to Seoul - South Korea, kinda works but not full speed as well.

I’m getting less than 1Mbps while downloading from epic game store…..take days to download 1 game….I think the issue started since last week?

Definitely Allo problem.. You may test download using VPN. My unifi 800 still can pull 300Mbps from Epic.

If the connection to SG is affected, most VPN SG servers will also not help much because the link to SG is choking.

That is what happens when you use cheap ISP, they don't have money to expand their international bandwidth and uptream. SG is the closest major gateway Malaysia can get with most VPN servers. If even SG connectivity is slow then the ISP is hopelessly unusable.

Actually if Allo open network is available at your place, your choices aren't restricted to only City Broadband.

You can choose Celcom, DiGi, Maxis or even Umobile Home Fibre network.

All of them offer better deal than those on TM Unifi mobile network. Your speed test will always be slightly more than your package speed because they don't do buffer bloat.

i dont think this will help on mentioned issue, because all these companies are using Allo infrastructure...i assume they will still encounter the same issue? honestly speaking, other than recently issue (slow download from Steam and Epic), the performance on Allo is not bad (can even get full speed on BT download). I dont play online game, so cannot comment on that

At first when the Allo under TNB step in into fiber network and internet offering, I am excited as I am thinking they will competing with TM fiercely. Their first trial in Jasin I am hoping that they will expended to almost places in Melaka.
Many years already, the latest coverage is in Alor Gajah, in some taman only. Guess waiting for them is similar to expecting kucing tumbuh tanduk. To compete with TM in term of expansion, Allo is a decade behind imo.
