Thanks for your reply YoungMan!

I had lodged a complaint to Celcom but they keep tell me that speed could fluctuate depends on network congestion in my area.

Any idea usually TM would cap to how many % of the speed of my package?
*
No specific percentage, but getting around 28-29mbps is usual.

I just want to share this with you, I visited my SIL in BM during CNY her Unifi 30mbps package was slow and I speed tested it and it was below 30mbps. I’m afraid I can’t remember the exact speed. FYI I was the only person using at that time.

Speed test on lan or wifi?

Try check speed on cable first to narrow down the issue.

Also when people complain about wifi getting slow after a while, lots of time it has to do with channel congestion.
do wifi survey and make sure there are no other radio contesting the same channel.
auto channels sometimes is not very reliable and will insist on broadcasting on that one congested channel when there are lot more better options available.

Happened to me before, made a report to MCMC and they fixed it but I'm still suffering from slow speed when downloading files etc.
Yes I'm also using LAN cable and my speed test is fine but when I download something. The speed im getting when downloading files is like 5-10mbps.

This one is server issue. You can't always get best connection everywhere. Whats what peering is all about.

Speetest full speed means there is nothing wrong on client end.
Even report mmc also they not do anything because they also know thats how network behave.

Isp won't compromise their existing routing just to prioritize bandwidth from a single random subnet.
If you have particular server you frequent that is slow while everything else is fine, then your only option is survey other isp which has better peering for your favourite server and make a switch.

Thank you very much for your sharing! I really appreciate your helping!

I had lodge a complain to Celcom and hopefully the problem able to resolved real soon. They were rather slow as need to wait for unifi technician to rectify the problem as well. doh.gif doh.gif

Wondering whether your SIL able to get his subscribed speed in the end?

Lan cable same slow speed
Channel all avoided congestion

Just now called Celcom
They will do some kind of "reset" from their end
Now line back to normal 300Mbps

not sure they do it on purposely to save their bandwidth or some kind of shit
Only reset it back when people call make complaint
*
before this, i got problem my speed maxed at 100mbps only, wifi or lan. turns out the modem was set up by TM to only 100mbps.

need to wait tm people to reset the modem remotely to enable the gigabit lan.

also, any of celcom people here get this problem?

That is not normal. You should lodge report to Celcom and if not solve, escalate the report to MCMC. Although TM is known for capping the speed of their competitors, you should still get near to 30mbps especially testing with lan cable.
Call their customer service to request.

I just subscribed to Celcom Fibre 300Mbps@RM100 per month. My question is, how do I request a public IP address? Sometime I got blocking because the CGNAT users are spamming. Please help
*
No luck to get Public IP Addr yet, called them since late-March... same response "our system still down due to Celcom and Digi merger". Reported MCMC, their PIC helped me to follow-up periodically. Called them today, same shxt. bangwall.gif

anyone had issue with alldebrid downloading at capped speed at 20Mbps? been noticing this since past 2 weeks.installed on dec 2022.initally no issue during early phase of installation.mine is 300Mbps rm100 promo

does celcom capped me? utube also not streaming in full speed.max at 50Mbps.speed.net is normal.fast normal

reported to celcom and already came to my home.he reset the connection but issue still persist

thinking to report to skmm but damn lazy.
so for those who still thinking to sign up 300Mbps rm100 promo better think twice.take 5g whenever available.u mobile is good enough.

Hi, just wondering if your connection is stable now downloading or streaming from alldebrid?

Didn't know Celcom got 20mbps plan. but imo maybe they are phasing out that plan just like most ISP doing away with 30mbps.

If not mistaken 20mbps plan was promo plan before CelcomDigi merger and available under Celcom Timur line at Sabah only

So far in Celcom Life plan didnt update, the details still show Celcom Home Fibre 20mbps. Price still at rm59.

I have been using the 50MBps at my parents house and so far no complaint from them, i think maybe they are also very light users of home internet.

Thinking to port out my home unifi to whole package under celcom (mobile + fibre) for extra saving, just wanted to know from other user here your performance so far. Thank you

The 50mbps plan just reflected in this month's bill. After prorate and rebate even lesser than my usual bill of RM59.

Have to wait for next bill to see how but supposed to have no change in price since the sms mentioned its a free speed upgrade.
