sorry.. correction... Vlan500 for the internet connection instead of 600. btw, any benefits using SFP port as an input from ONU? currently i'm using LAN1 as my input. tq
*
Nothing much, except gaining extra LAN port. sweat.gif I bought no brand 1Gb RJ45 SFP module very cheap, RM45 only... From China (Shopee / Lazada). thumbsup.gif

Since my Mikrotik comes with SFP port, and manage to buy cheap SFP module... might as well as utilise it tongue.gif cool2.gif

SilentVampire , At the isntalltion guide , does TM normally gives out BTU/ONU password to access our BTU ? and router admin password ?
For New user register or faulty BTU change.
*
So far I've seen for Huawei BTU, TM will just use the default user/pass. However sometime after installation is completed, the BTU will be provisioned remotely to drop access from the LAN ports. There's a window where you can still access the BTU. So as soon as the install is done, turn off its power and remove the optical cable. You should still be able to access it. This is how it goes for my area.

Anyone had their unifi discount reduced?
I am on unifi 500Mbps (Turbo upgrade 2018), was paying RM109/month for the unifi (original price 229 but came with a discount of RM120), this month the discount was reduced from 120 to 73.86.
The turbo upgrade campaign was supposed to give the rakyat better internet for cheaper price, now with the change of government, they remove it....
*
If your discount is not perpetual, it will revert to original pricing after 24 months. You better call up TM to check. The problem with TM is that it has 1001 pricing for the same package.

my case, TM immediately upgrade my speed first, within a few hours after PONR has been created, only then they deliver the mesh M9+ to my address.
*
Quick update. Decided to cancel my upgrade request. TM can go FOAD. Might drop by a TM Point if I ever want to upgrade later. Online request is just f#@$%&up. TM call center should really move away from ticket resolution to actual case resolution kpi.

Their so-called free turbo upgrade in 2018 is pretty much messed up. Mine was quietly charged full price without my knowledge. The promo e-mail in 2018 has no whatsoever mentioned of 24 months validity. That's pretty bad sneaky marketing.

Ya, their support center and online ticket support is pretty much f-up. I had to raised more than 15 support tickets and still today, no resolution in sight. That's over 6 weeks dy. They just close one support ticket after another, after few days with no resolution. First they promise special price (perpetual), then they close the original ticket with nothing happened. And later I have to do another request again and again. And you know what, they say its for 24 months, no special pricing. Blardy !@#$ TM. What kind of service is this.

Turbo upgrade email in 2018 doesn't mention for me either. It shouldn't have changed the terms of your discount. Mine was perpetual before Turbo and remained perpetual after the Turbo upgrade. Do you remember what you had prior to the upgrade?

Perpetual, I remembered. I am waiting for the days when more affordable broadband available other than unifi to my housing area. Right now, it's not a choice unfortunately.

You can jump shift to either Celcom or Digi or Maxis. Save some money if you don't need the HyppTv. There are more broadband providers now just that they all rent TM's line.

TM just changed my BTU from Fiberhome to Huawei minutes ago. Had some problem activating the phone line config as any input can't be save successfully making it inactive after the next restart. I can feel the size is much bigger compare to my previous Fiberhome BTU.Attached Image

After using this setup for nearly a year, TM did something on their end, causing issues with VLAN 600. No longer receiving anything on VLAN 600. I lodged a report, TM sent 2 technicians. After nearly half & hour, still no solution. I suggest to them, push VLAN 600 to ONU LAN 2 instead. So they reconfigure the ONU and walla VLAN 600 on ONU LAN 2.

Just had the same thing happen to my Mikrotik setup as well

From yesterday onwards HyppTV was totally dead, no longer receiving anything from VLAN 600.
(Connection has been sketchy for the whole year, usually needing few resets on the STB to work)

Tried to tinker with the BTU unit but no success, hopefully can get them to come and set up in the same way as yours.

glad I found this information here thumbsup.gif thumbsup.gif

Strange that only Mikrotik router users are reporting this. Anyway just fired my STB up and it’s still ok. Last used was a few weeks ago for the last F1 race. I’m using hAP AC2.

Im using hAP AC2 too.. but after STB (hypptv-whitebox) upgrade, its hard to established LAN to 100mbps for the 1st onward STB boot.. iif set auto-nego (everything default on hAP AC2), it only connected to 10mbps.. STB need 100mbps.. if i unset the auto-nego and only select 100M (full), it will retry until can established to 100M.. but it cant for now.. need to cabut lan cable, reconnect just it can success 100M.. reported to TM about this.. they cant proceed to my request like previous user here, direct vlan600 to BTU..

i already test with my previous MikroTik RB951, no problem at all.. happened only with my hAP AC2.. tried check incase the lan port kaput, everything ok connecting with other device..
