Hi, I've an issue with my Unifi installation. When we moved house, the only available port is about 100m away. No choice, needed broadband. Now, the cable is prone to breakage. Rat bite la etc. Technician advised to ask to relocate to nearer port (theres a hub about 5m away behind my house). The problem is, to relocate, need to apply new, then terminate the old account.

Is there another way to ask TM to change my port? So far, have sufferred 4 cuts, some taking up to a week to rectify. Its not frequent but annoying.

Something disrupting the signal. Check for loose connection or breakage. Else, need to report to TM.

I havent paid a single cent for the 4 times TM repaired my line. All the cuts happened outside my house.

Thats right. Its a hassle. The lenght of cable makes it more susceptible although I have no way of knowing if shortening the distance to the port will make any difference.

For the price, is it worth the upgrade from 100 to 300? I'm on RM129 plan. 5-10 devices in my household. Mostly Youtube and online gaming. No iptv. Not even HyppTV. I want to get Disney+ when its available later. Thinking to dump Astro and just use myFreeview.

Waiting for TM Unifi new promo. Why TM dont have 500/800 package anymore whilst Maxis, Celcom and Astro all offer 500/800? Coz TM knows its a scam?

Coz of FUP., maybe? I'm currently on 100 and wanted to upgrade to 300 package but a TM installer told me not to bother. I'll hardly notice the difference.

I'm cautious about switching to Maxis or Astro or any of the other broadband provider since TM handles the last mile anyway.

Pray you got not rats eating your cable. Mine 150m maybe once a few months LOS loss due to fiber cut. No port nearer, so have to ask TM to fix everytime. For free. Happened 4-5 times already.

5th fiber cut happened recently. Suspect rat gnawing outside cable. TM came to repair FOC.

My case, they already called to confirm upgrade but said they will courier the Deco m9 mesh and unifi tv equipment. I suppose, once received, someone will come to do installation?

I think my current equipment can handle the upgrade right? Now on 100Mbps plan using Huawei AX3 router. Upgrading to 500Mbps plan.

Going full streaming service and dropping Astro. Getting Disney+ if it ever comes to M'sia. Maybe Netflix too. Was also looking at mesh for my 2storey house.

Astro package currently rm130+ so might as well upgrade unifi. Only downside is, if cable cut, then totally no service.

Mesh and unifi tv box still haven't arrived. Can I just ask for the package upgrade 1st if it just requires configuration at TM side?

Quick update. Decided to cancel my upgrade request. TM can go FOAD. Might drop by a TM Point if I ever want to upgrade later. Online request is just f#@$%&up. TM call center should really move away from ticket resolution to actual case resolution kpi.
