BTU is only for ISP use.

Normally port 1 for unifi
port 2 for maxis
port 3 for celcom fibre / unifi voip / maxis voip
port 4 for digi fibre / celcom fibre / maxis voip / unifi voip

bla bla bla....
*
My port 2 changed for HyppTV because they have problem with my Mikrotik router. All these while it's been working fine, until one day, no more VLAN 600. Something that they did on their end. Lodged a report, technician came but they can't solve it, so I request to push VLAN 600 straight to Port 2. sweat.gif

Port 1 - Mikrotik router
Port 2 - HyppTV box
Port 3 - x
Port 4 - x

Save one port on my Mikrotik router & no need to handle VLAN 600. thumbsup.gif

any setting need to be done from router/modem?
i did try plugin but my phone not even charging

No setting. The BTU tel port is not for you to charge. If you use a cordless phone make sure you charge the phone accordingly. Otherwise use any normal telephone plugin and see if it is working.

I'm sharing from my own experience. TM no longer provide free phone to new customer. You can either used back any phone u have or buy a new one as stated by YoungMan.

But you cant straight away enjoy the call as I was told by the installer we need to wait atleast 24h for it to calibrate and if after 24h the BTU light still blinking, it already mean the phone that is connected is not suitable for that brand BTU (like my neighbour using non-TM cordless phone having connecting problem. He call TM 100 to lodge complaint and send a tech to see. The tech tell my neighbour the Huawei BTU couldnt support that cordless phone model and replace it with ZTE BTU & it's works).

Thanks for sharing. Didn't know about compatibility of phone and BTU, as so far all the phones i use with the Huawei BTu is working fine.

What is the BTU/ONU/Modem brand that Unifi provide? Did you plug-in your Dect phone to the current supply?

Hi ... I just install Unifi 30mbps today.

Just want to check whether the BTU & Router provided by Unifi any good.

BTU - FibreHome ONU - HG6240A
Router - FiberHome wireless router- SR120-A

I was expecting either TPLINK or Dlink router.

Thanks in advance for your comment

You can't change the BTU but you can change the router. I suggest that you consider if the router is good enough for your use i.e coverage and the ability to support multiple devices. If not, change it.

Since you are using mikrotik, the VLAN600 for the unifi connection we manual create it. how come no more and gone? you set it back if gone? similar to hypptv which is Vlan500 and also we manually set it.

TM is using VLAN 500 for Internet and VLAN 600 for the HyppTV. For my Mikrotik, no longer need to handle VLAN 600 since VLAN 600 goes through LAN 2 on TM ONU.

My Mikrotik only need to handle VLAN 500. biggrin.gif

Before this, my setup was

TM ONU LAN 1 -> Mikrotik SFP1

Mikrotik Eth 1 - 9 -> my home wired & wireless network
Mikrotik Eth 10 -> HypTV box (VLAN 600)

After using this setup for nearly a year, TM did something on their end, causing issues with VLAN 600. No longer receiving anything on VLAN 600. I lodged a report, TM sent 2 technicians. After nearly half & hour, still no solution. I suggest to them, push VLAN 600 to ONU LAN 2 instead. So they reconfigure the ONU and walla VLAN 600 on ONU LAN 2.

Now my setup is

TM ONU LAN 1 -> Mikrotik SFP1
TM ONU LAN 2 -> HyppTV box

Mikrotik Eth 1 - 10 -> my home wired & wireless network

Hmm... my be I was lucky they listen to my suggestion and it works. sweat.gif
My friend's house also facing similar problem. Near my house. He's using similar setup as mine (Mikrotik too). They also change to my setup. Pushing HyppTV through ONU LAN 2.

I thing they are willing to listen because of their end new setup / equipment / configuration that causing issues with Mikrotik. Quick solution is to make use their ONU LAN 2. whistling.gif

Till date, zero downtime. thumbsup.gif

That problem occured early this year. If my memory serves me right. Can't remember exact month / date.

Anyone had their unifi discount reduced?
I am on unifi 500Mbps (Turbo upgrade 2018), was paying RM109/month for the unifi (original price 229 but came with a discount of RM120), this month the discount was reduced from 120 to 73.86.
The turbo upgrade campaign was supposed to give the rakyat better internet for cheaper price, now with the change of government, they remove it....

Mine is still the same. Bill dated 28/12. "unifi 800Mbps - Super Value YEP 2019", the internet part is RM349 less discount RM250 = RM99.

Hey guys, my contact is about up and they are offering RM139 for 300mbps + RM20 for hypptv (ruby pack). If I want to add on deco M9 plus, it would be rm35/month for 24months (about rm900 after sst).
I was wondering, is it worth while for the 300mbps + hypptv (ruby pack), and also should i take the deco m9plus?

I tried to see if i can get higher speed but pay lower = failed lolx.

sorry.. correction... Vlan500 for the internet connection instead of 600. btw, any benefits using SFP port as an input from ONU? currently i'm using LAN1 as my input. tq

What are the changes for new unifi user who going to register next year ?

Just wanted to get any change on their hidden T&C

1.BTU and router given for 30mbps ,100mbps , 300mbps and etc
2.What other Promotion offer next year or this year end ? for official and agent side ?
3.Any pricing and speed changes ? free turbo and etc ?
4.Still monthly penalty when termination ?
5.HyppTV still on ?

SilentVampire , At the isntalltion guide , does TM normally gives out BTU/ONU password to access our BTU ? and router admin password ?
For New user register or faulty BTU change.
